OverviewThe Campus Connect Program aims at evolving a model

through which Infosys and engineering institutions

can partner for competitiveness to enhance pool of

highly capable talent for growth requirements in the

program focuses on preparing “industry-ready IT

professionals” by aligning and enhancing the engineering

student competencies with the needs of the industry.

Campus Connect is sharing with the academia its

technology training methods, courseware, case studies,

student project samples and other such learning

resources that have been developed, practiced and

perfected over the past 20 years.

At a Glance1. The Faculty Enablement Program (FEP) covers

technical modules based on a theme. FEPs on the

• Fundamentals of Information Technology • Internet and Web Technologies

2. Duration : Typically one week

3. An FEP event can be hosted by Infosys or Campus

Connect advanced partner college in college

premises

4. The basic theme of FEP is to cover a given set of

modules in greater depth (Deep-Dive) with increased

focus on: Hands-on, Case-studies, Integrated Project development, Tools Exposure, and Practitioner

5. The courses offered in an FEP depend on the

requirements of partner colleges attached to local

Infosys Development Centre

6. Participants will receive Infosys Training kit

7. Suggested number of participants per partnering

college is typically Two

8. Pre-work for the workshop

Faculty Enablement Program Faculty Enablement Program (FEP) brings together

several partnering engineering college faculty members

under one roof to discuss the coverage of the given

course and plan actions for roll-out of the same in

respective colleges. The expected outcome of the

workshop is a well defined roll-out plan and faculty

exposure to Infosys experiences.

1. FEP provides an opportunity to the engineering

college faculties to get exposed to industry best

practices in learning

2. FEP is the forum where Infosys educators and

practitioners share their experiences.

3. FEP provides insight into the industry expectations

of the entry level student skills

The Faculty Enablement Program (FEP) is one of

to enhance student learning effectiveness

3. Share our IP and thus develop large pool of faculty

across the nation to deliver FP course in the same

style and depth as Infosys

FEP Objective• It is to share Infosys education experience by

bringing together several partnering engineering

college faculty members under one roof to

discuss the coverage of the given course, learn

from the team experiences and plan actions

for rolling-out the same in respective colleges.

• Enable partnering colleges in rolling out the given

course in a deep dive manner, i.e. the faculty should

really be able to strengthen, scale up and use the

case studies, develop new real-time case studies,

projects, tools information shared during the program,

leading to higher performance of the students.

• The expected outcome of the FEP is a well defined

roll-out plan for the participating partner college

and faculty exposure to Infosys way of professional

training.

• Enrich the profound knowledge of faculty with

technology & application examples, by targeting a

set of courses to augment their skill and knowledge

for better courseware delivery effectiveness and

exposure.

• Familiarize partnering college faculty with best-

in-class facilitation and assessment methods to

enhance student learning effectiveness

• Share our IP and thus develop large pool of

faculty across the nation to deliver courses

comprehensively.

• To enhance the capabilities of the participating

faculty through technical inputs.

• Introduce to the participants some of the latest

technologies, industry best practices and

methodologies.

• Gain insight by interaction with subject matter

experts.

Deep Dive ApproachTools Exposure: In line with our objective to strengthen

the Industry insights to colleges, this section provides

an exposure to the faculty regarding the need and

importance of tools in industry environment and the

ability of tools to handle complexity.

Information on relevant open source/freeware tools is

shared, which can be useful to the students for the

development of projects.

Case Studies: Provides a practical scenario as a

problem statement to develop an acquaintance of the

industry perspective of a typical module. Faculty members

Integrated Project: Provides integrated learning and a

comprehensive view on how the covered modules relate

to each other. An application using the concepts from

various modules is developed.

Practitioner Sessions: Discuss and demonstrate a

real time scenario from projects, challenges faced and

solutions adopted.

Assignments/Hands-on: Assignments and video

sessions to reinforce the concepts discussed.

New FP Deployment (Applicable to FP FEP):

• Usage of CAMP (C Conceptual, A Analytical,

M Memory recall based and P Practice based)

guidelines in question paper preparation.

• Generation and usage of case studies for student

assessment.

• A briefing on execution of Programming Basic

project and usage of integrated projects during

Foundation Program.

• Online assessment using Open Source platform

Program DescriptionFaculty enablement Program (FEP) is a key element

in the Campus Connect initiative.

This is a workshop style event in which Infosys

educators and practitioners share the best practices

relating to entry level engineers’ training (Foundation

Program Technical Subjects) with the faculty members

from partnering colleges.

Faculty members from several colleges will be able to

interact with each other, share experiences and work

in teams to experience the teaching methods used by

Infosys.

The FEP is executed in a deep dive manner where

project teams and practitioners together share

experiences and explore better approaches to problem

solving that involves team discussion and analysis of

real-life case studies / projects.

Some of the highlights of this program include:
