Your Overall Intensity: High (77)

Your Intensity Level is HIGH. The Intensity score reveals the strength, energy and passion shown in communication. The higher the Intensity score, the higher the drive to communicate. High Intensity is often an indication of someone who will fight for their opinion to be considered and to exercise control, (whether directly or indirectly) and will do more to maintain communication and relationships. They may also be more prone to conflict. High Intensity persons tend to draw attention, which can create an image of an individualistic personality. Lower Intensity scores indicate those who generally do not compete to be heard, although they may have valuable contributions to make and are sometimes overlooked or ignored. The chart above gives your intensity on each language as well as your overall intensity.

Language Intensity

Each Life Language has it’s own individual intensity. The strength of the intensity score reveals the level of energy for that specific Life Language. In the final anaylsis, overall intensity score is more of a determinant on the forcefulness of an individual’s communication.

Gap

Gap is the distance between two different Life Languages. We measure the gap between the nearest two Life Languages. The greater the gap, the more effort it takes to move from one Life Language to the other. The smaller the gap, the easier it is to move between the two Life Languages.

Your Accumulated Range: Moderate

Your RANGE SCORE is considered MODERATE. The RANGE GAP between your primary and secondary language scores is considered MODERATE. Range is the difference between your Primary and Seventh Life Languages. A high or low score is neither better nor worse, though very meaningful. A High Range means that the individual tends to stand out in his or her Primary language and has a more definable behavior and communication style; however, that individual may have more difficulty communicating with those who speak his or her weaker languages.A Low Range may mean that the individual tends to communicate easily with all the languages, but may be less predictable and understandable to others, and sometimes even to themselves. The failure to understand range is one of the primary causes of communication difficulties. You will also want to look at the range (gap) between each language and how the range increases with each descending language to give you the above score.

Shaper Summary – Cognitive Category

As a Very High Shaper, you tend to be organized, visionary, focused, delegating, strategic, intentional, and efficient.

Very High Shapers generally have the ability to plan, organize, and manage many activities simultaneously. You have the ability to think and plan for both the long and short-term. It is not unusual for Very High Shapers to have well thought-out five, ten, and even twenty year goals. You like to organize your life and even work by charts, schedules, and time lines. You are a visionary with the ability to see the necessary

steps that are required to reach your goal and turn your vision into a reality. You can be very focused on goals and projects, and you use your time efficiently.

You can be quite articulate, especially when it comes to sharing your plans and vision. Generally, you can do this in a very persuasive manner and ensure that others catch your vision. You tend to be rather private when it comes to your emotions. Being open or transparent about your feelings may not be very important to you.

When working on your plans, you instinctively know who is best suited for which position. You are good at delegating tasks, supervising people, and placing the right person in the right job. You also most likely enjoy developing other people and helping them reach their full potential.

You size up situations, gather facts while analyzing the pros and cons, then make quality decisions that result in success. You may or may not seek out leadership, and when it comes, healthy Shapers generally do not take it for selfish or egotistical reasons. You want the organization, team, or project to succeed. You are a good team player as long as the leadership and boundaries are well defined. If there is no designated leader, you will typically assume that position, as leadership comes quite naturally for you.

Very High Shapers generally have no problem being accountable, and you want others to be accountable as well. You look for measurable results. Attitudes and behavior that are not mission-related might be frustrating to you. You are goal oriented, sometimes to the point of being driven.

At times you may seem aloof as you withdraw to think, plan, and set goals. You can talk easily about ideas, issues, concepts, and plans. But generally, you consider small talk a waste of time. You like intellectual stimulation and do not enter into sharing emotions easily. Although the Shaper Life Language is a Cognitive Language, you tend to be action-oriented as well. You think and plan, then move into action with a determination for success.

As long as the project or goal gets accomplished, healthy Shapers do not care who gets the credit. You are comfortable in the limelight, but you are equally comfortable behind the scenes, pulling the strings. You tend to share the credit for a successful project with the family or the team. You enjoy seeing others as useful and valuable. You usually have a great deal of self confidence and should not need applause to feel good about yourself.

Once a project is on the road to completion, you may prefer to delegate the ongoing maintenance to others so you can pursue new goals and challenges. You tend to get bored with routine jobs and prefer the challenge of something new. You prefer to lead rather than manage.

The Shaper Icon

Each icon reveals the story of that Life Language. You will see the characteristics designed within the picture. If the icon was all you had, you could study it and understand a great deal about the particular communication style of that Life Language.

■ Name – The way the Shaper name is printed indicates how Shapers function in their careers and relationships. The name Shaper is slanted upward, because career-wise, they progressively move up to greater and greater success and leadership. Healthy Shapers usually have excellent relationships if they learn to guard themselves not letting growth and success overshadow relationships.

■ Category– At the top of the Shaper icon is a small head, which represents the cognitive or thinking category. These are the men and women who will think before they feel or act.

■ Hand– The Hand moving the chess piece is symbolic of the strategic thinking and planning of the Shaper. Shapers play the game of life strategically, with success and ease.

■ Chess Board– On the Chess Board are the letters A and Z. Shapers tend to see the whole picture, planning their steps of action from beginning, through the middle phases, all the way to the end, The start with the end in mind. They tend to be global in their approach, with big dreams and visions.

■ Chart– The Chart in the background represents the Shapers ability to plan, organize, strategize, and prioritize. Shapers chart their course by their dreams and plans. Shapers are successful because of their ability to make and develop plans, manage people, and bring together resources.

■ Graph – The Graph on the Chart shows again the upward mobility of the Shaper goals, plans and life.

■ Color– The Primary Color of the Shaper Icon is "Royal" Blue (or Indigo) , the color of oceans and the galaxy, and most symbolizes the Shaper characteristics.

filter is like wearing colored glasses. Shaper’s Color is "Royal" Blue (Indigo), so imagine that you see the world through that color’s sensitive filter. The Shaper’s Filter is, “What is your plan, and are you working it?” Shapers look and listen to everyone to see and hear if the other person has a plan. They generally have low tolerance for people who waste time, or seem to be meandering through life without a plan or purpose. A more positive approach for the Shaper could be to choose a conscious paradigm shift, turning the filter question into a filter statement: “You can be part of my plan”, or “I’ll be glad to help you develop your plan.” This fits with the Shaper ability to develop people.

Need From Others – Support and AgreementEach Life Language has needs that are met through personal and professional relationships. Shapers feel loved, valued, and motivated by receiving from others Support and Agreement. They are not looking for a “yes person” who agrees with everything. Shapers want support for good plans and agreement of shared values, goals, purpose, and destiny. Genuine compatibility of goals and direction is very important to them. Because Shapers are generally in leadership roles, and leaders are often targets of criticism, they need the security and calm of safe, supportive relationships.

Passion – To LeadPassion is the spark that makes your life worth living. There is a Passion that motivates each Life Language and gives direction to their communication style. The Shaper’s Passion is To Lead, and Shapers lead others automatically and naturally through planning and delegating. The Healthy Shaper’s Passion To Lead is a gift to be shared.

Key Character Strength – PatienceEach Life Language has many outstanding character strengths, but there is one that is the primary or Key Character Strength – and generally most pronounced in that person. Patience is the Key Character Strength of the Shapers Life Language. Patience is defined as, ‘Quiet, steady perseverance and even-tempered care’. Shapers focus their patience towards the long-term plan and the development of people towards greater levels and efficiency, to keep that steady pace towards the goal. Though the goal remains 5, 10, or 20 years down the road, patience will assure the Shaper and his or her team will reap the rewards of their strategic planning and patience.

Shaper Needs for Success

The following Essential Trait and Success Habit are indispensable to your overall success in life.

Essential Trait – Cultivate SensitivityA trait is “a distinguishing characteristic or personal quality.” Each Life Language has an Essential Trait that is vital to the success of that Life Language. It is important for this trait to be developed and safeguarded in order for you to succeed.

The Essential Trait for you as a Shaper is Cultivate Sensitivity, especially to the emotional needs of individuals around you. As a Shaper who keeps in mind the big picture, it is easy for you at times to overlook the needs and feelings even of individuals who may be responsible for helping you reach your goals. You will find great fulfillment as you develop sensitivity toward others, and your success in life will be enhanced as you display this Essential Trait.

Success Habit – Learn to Relax, Reflect, and Relate A habit is, “An acquired behavioral pattern regularly followed until it has become almost involuntary.” Each Life Language has a specific Success Habit that, as it is developed, will demonstrate your maturity and

healthy character. When this Success Habit is demonstrated you will see the positive difference in your personal and professional relationships. The Success Habit for Shapers to pursue is “Learn to Relax, Reflect, and Relate.” Shapers tend to push so hard to reach their goals and schedules that they often don’t stop to relax, which can lead to burnout. They also often fail to take the time to reflect, especially about how decisions affect people. As they learn to Relax, Reflect, and Relate their relationships are strengthened.

Career Information

Shaper Leadership StyleEvery Life Language can be a leader, but each does it differently. One Life Language’s Leadership Style is not more important or more successful than any other. There are seven great LIFE Languages,™ thereby seven great and different Leadership Styles. It is important that you accept and develop the one you are gifted with and not compare or try to become one that you are not.

Shapers are leaders, who visualize final results and develop people, plans and resources for the successful completion of goals. A Shaper enjoys expansive leadership roles, delegates, and holds each person accountable for their part. Exceptional Shaper Leaders have learned and implemented their Essential Trait of Sensitivity, as well as the Success Habit of Learning to Relax, Reflect, and Relate. Successful leaders hire people to fill and cover the weaknesses of the leader and to the strengths of each of the seven LIFE Languages,™ so as not to over duplicate themselves.

Cultural Philosophy“Each of us has an important, responsible role. Let’s do our job, be accountable, stick with the plans, and accomplish our goals.

Shapers as EmployeesShapers can make great employees. They appreciate organized leadership with established job descriptions, goals and purpose to follow, or the freedom to establish their own goals and plans. It is important for them to know that there is an opportunity for them to grow into stronger leadership roles.

Example ProfessionsThose who speak the Shaper Life Language are found in all varieties of professions, and understanding your Life Language should in no way limit you from exploring whatever profession you are drawn to. However, Shapers are often found in the following professions: chief executive officers (there are more Shapers as CEOs than any other Life Language), supervisors, department heads, analysts, military leaders, pilots, architects, professional engineers, medical doctors, and medical specialists. Shapers seem to excel in professions that require cognitive thinking, good planning, leadership, delegation abilities, goal setting, and vision. Often High Shapers are found in professions that require higher educational degrees.

Fun Facts

Color and MusicThere are seven colors in the color spectrum and seven whole musical notes. In 1666, Sir Isaac Newton united in one mathematical matrix the phenomena of light and sound, and it continues today as the color-music code. Colors vibrate and the measurement of the vibration corresponds with the vibration of the musical notes.

Color – "Royal" Blue (Indigo) "Royal" Blue (Indigo), is a deep, royal blue and is the color of the galaxy or the wide, deep ocean. This color is associated with visionary leadership, success, high aspirations, knowledge, and power. Shapers have the ability to reach high and far—growing, expanding, and taking others with them on their journey of success. "Royal" Blue is a color of great depth, and Shapers add depth to their lives through their planning, organization, leadership, and achievements. "Royal" Blue is also the color for dignity and excellence. Often Shapers have an air of dignity about them, and those who reach their potential have discovered the importance of the pursuit of excellence.

Shaper’s Core ValueA Core Value is the central, most important principle or standard characteristic for that particular Life Language. All the aspects of your Life Languages (your Filter, your Need, your Passion, and your Key Character Strength) come together to reveal what that Life Language values most. The

Core Value for the Shaper Life Language is: FUTURE (Meaning - potential, expectations, opportunity, yet to come).

Shaper's Motto“Plan your work and work your plan.”

Musical Note – AThe musical note A corresponds to the vibrations of the color "Royal" Blue (Indigo) and is the universal note that orchestra and choir directors use to tune the instruments and voices before a concert. Being tuned properly is like working together with a plan and purpose, which is what High Shapers naturally do. By tuning to the concert note of A we can then play a concerto in perfect harmony.

Nature Symbol – LionThe Nature Symbol for the Shaper Life Language is the "African" LION. Lions are thought of as the "King of the Jungle.” They are the only social member of the cat family. Lions live in large groups called "prides", consisting of about fifteen lions. Lions within a pride are often affectionate to one another and enjoy fellowship and interaction. Lions are organized, there is a hierarchy, and they work in teams to stalk and ambush prey.

Your Second Life Language: Contemplator 68 (High) KendallLife LanguagesProfile™

ALLISON HENDRICKSON- 10/04/2016 ©Life Languages Institute, Inc. Page 10

Contemplator Summary – Cognitive Category

Contemplators are typically characterized by being inquisitive, reflective, peaceful, calm, complex, cautious, loyal, and often brilliant. Your KLLP™ indicates that you are a High Contemplator.

You most likely prefer a private, peaceful, low-conflict life style. You usually will not compete for attention in conversations, often choosing to remain quiet, even if you are an expert on the subject at hand. As a High Contemplator, you care deeply for those in your life, but you may

show it rather quietly. Your quiet and private displays do not negate the depth of your feelings.

Because you value the past, you are loyal to friends, family, employers, and traditions. Contemplators generally have few close friends, and although you may not keep in close contact with them, they seem to remain your friends for a lifetime.

You can be a good listener if you are interested in the subject and not preoccupied, but you may seem stoic, sending minimal visible and verbal signals.

Public speaking and teaching may be something you enjoy, if you are interested in the subject and have time to think and prepare your presentation. You probably do not enjoy impromptu speaking as much.

You usually guard and structure your time. Too many people and too many activities all at once can drain your energy. Paradoxically, you may have many projects in various stages of completion, because your multiple interests may pull you in different directions. You also may have well-defined boundaries and only let a few people into your personal or private space. More than any other Life Language, you need space and time alone to think, reflect, process, study, procrastinate, meditate, and most importantly to recharge your batteries. Having time alone gives you the recharge you need. However, this must be kept in balance, or others in your family and life may feel neglected or disconnected.

You are inquisitive and naturally collect knowledge, information, and obscure facts. You tend to be a life-long learner wanting to know not only surface information, but also in-depth details. You often do not accept facts at face value but will validate and research on your own to prove or disprove what you have heard or seen. You may, on occasion, challenge management to validate the facts. Contemplators tend to pursue proof of questionable truth.

There are several facts that tend to make High Contemplators quite different from the other seven LIFE Languages.™

• Often Contemplators are somewhat nocturnal.

• Contemplator men often wear facial hair more than any other Life Language.

• Contemplator is the only Life Language that has any significant connection to high IQ. Other Life Languages may or may not score high on IQ tests, but Contemplators frequently score high and are members of High IQ organizations such as Mensa.

• Contemplators tend to have a somewhat unusual sense of humor. It may seem dry, complex, "off the wall", and rather like “Far Side Humor,” and it may take others time to grasp it before being amazed and amused by it, if they get it at all.

Because you have such varied interests, you are rarely bored with life and are gifted in many areas. Just about the time someone thinks they have you figured out, you jump out of the box and reveal other facets of yourself. Very High Contemplators with their varied interests and multi-abilities often have difficulty finding a career path. There are so many things Contemplators can do and may want to pursue that they sometimes have a hard time narrowing to only one. But when they do settle into one path, they usually soar because of their high intellect as well as their acquired and on-going desire for knowledge.

You are probably not easily persuaded by others to accept their opinions or ideas. This usually makes you more resistant to peer pressure and social trends, unless there is an interesting intellectual facet.

You tend to be quite sensitive although others may not know it. Contemplators can be hurt or troubled, but their facial expressions may in no way reveal their feelings.

You bring a peaceful, thought-provoking presence to any environment, helping others to see life differently.

Often High Contemplators have the unique ability to be comfortable with silence. Even with a spouse, child, or close friend, they often do not feel compelled to talk, feeling connected and comfortable with silence. However, if the subject is something they are truly interested in, a Contemplator can seemingly monopolize the conversation, excitedly sharing facts, examples, and possibilities.

Because our society is moving into the “Intelligence-gathering Era” there seems to be more Contemplators in the world today than in the recent past, and they are needed in this time.

As a High Contemplator, you speak one of the more interesting, different, and unique LIFE Languages™ making you truly a special and amazing person! Celebrate the fact that you are inquisitive, reflective, peaceful, calm, complex, loyal, and quite often brilliant!

The Contemplator Icon

Each icon reveals the story of that Life Language. You will see the character qualities designed within the picture. If the icon was all you had, you could study it and understand a great deal about the particular communication style of that Life Language.

■ Category – The head of the "thinker" dominates the Contemplator icon and represents the Cognitive or Thinking Category. The "thinker" not only represents the Category, but also the Contemplator's highly cognitive approach to life. They tend to think, and think, and think... then they may talk to you or tell what they know, or they may not. They study primarily because they personally like to know and gather information that interests them.

■ Name – The name Contemplator first slants downward. This indicates the depth of the Contemplator’s mind, and how they desire to go deeply into things that interest them. It also reveals the depth of their few but important relationships. The name then curves up at the end. This represents the fact that

Contemplators, typically brilliant and with high IQs, are usually slow to reach their potential because they have so many interests that it is difficult for them to prioritize toward success. Once they do determine what they want, they can soar like a rocket to true personal or professional success!

■ Pillar – The pillar in the background represents wisdom and higher learning. Pillars also make an archaeological statement of lasting permanence and solidity.

■ Books – On top of the pillars are books, representing the Contemplator’s desire to study, learn, and be on a life-long quest for knowledge and growth.

■ Olive Branches – The olive branches are symbolic of peace. Contemplators prefer a peaceful, low conflict environment, peaceful relationships, and a peaceful life. They typically are not peacemakers or peace keepers, but even in environments full of conflict; they usually stay calm, personally peaceful, and often withdrawn from what is occurring.

■ Sky Blue – Light blue is the primary color that most symbolizes the Contemplator's characteristics of calmness and harmony, like the color of a clear, calm lake.

Each Life Language has an internal filter screening incoming and outgoing communication. This internal filter is like wearing colored glasses. The Contemplator color is "Sky" Blue, so imagine that you see and define the world through that color’s sensitive filter. The Contemplator's Filter says, “Am I interested in this?” When listening, the filter asks that question, and if they are not interested they typically will just tune out. Contemplators who are aware of their inner filter can choose to override it and be interested, attentive, and validating. As a Contemplator, you can choose to make a conscious paradigm shift and turn the filter question into a positive filter statement of celebration saying, “I am interested in you and what you’re saying!”

Need From Others – Personal Space and Undivided AttentionEach Life Language has needs that are met through personal and professional relationships. When our needs are met, we experience fulfillment and contentment. Contemplators feel loved, valued, and motivated by receiving Personal Space and Undivided Attention (Quality Time) from those in their lives. You probably appreciate it when others allow you personal space and time alone. You prefer quality, special, undivided attention that is not rushed nor competed for. For you, quality time and undivided attention can even be shared through silence and by just enjoying being together.

Passion – To KnowPassion is the spark that makes your life worth living. Each Life Language has a major passion that motivates and gives direction to their communication style. The Contemplator's Passion is To Know. They are usually life-long learners and are motivated to seek knowledge. They can be excellent teachers if they choose to share their knowledge. This makes them people of great depth and value.

Key Character Strength – LoyaltyEach Life Language has many character strengths, but there is one that is the primary or key strength. For the Contemplator, Loyalty is that strength. Loyalty is defined as “faithfulness to commitments, obligations, and ideals.” When a person, idea, mission, experience, belief or interest captures the mind and heart of the

Contemplator, they will remain loyal. Although speakers of all the seven LIFE Languages™ can show loyalty, none do it as consistently and powerfully as the Contemplator.

Contemplator Needs for SuccessThe following Trait and Habit are indispensable to your overall success in life.

Essential Trait – Cultivate ConnectednessA trait is “a distinguishing characteristic or personal quality.” Each Life Language has an Essential Trait that is vital to the success of that Life Language. It is important for this trait to be developed and safeguarded in order for you to succeed.

The Essential Trait for the Contemplator is Connectedness, as Contemplators can be self-sufficient, often loners with many interests, learning activities, and time spent thinking. Contemplators may not realize their need for relationships, but they will find life greatly enhanced by developing the skill to emotionally, personally, professionally, and socially connect with and relate to others. Connectedness will further enhance your success and strengthen your character. You will be enriched as you enrich the lives of all privileged to know you well.

Success Habit – Close the GapA habit is “an acquired behavior regularly followed until it has become almost natural to you.” Each Life Language has a Success Habit that demonstrates maturity and healthy character. This Success Habit will help you experience a positive difference in your life. The Success Habit for Contemplators is “Closing the Gap”— the gaps between thinking, feeling and acting. Contemplators tend to live in their minds; they think before they show feelings or action. You close these gaps by sending verbal and physical signals: nod your head, say things like, “Let me think about this,” rather than just thinking, pondering, and saying nothing. You close the gap by becoming responsive to and acknowledging other people’s statements and being aware of their body language. This requires willingness on your part as a Contemplator.

Career Information

Contemplator Leadership StyleEveryone can be a leader no matter what Life Language they prefer to speak. But, each does it differently. One Leadership Style is not more important or successful than the other. Just as there are seven LIFE Languages,™ there are also seven Leadership Styles. The Contemplator Leadership style is to be a quiet, peaceful, loyal leader who imparts wisdom, knowledge and skills to others. By personal example they seek deeper truths, accurate facts, and information. They expect others to gather facts and are responsible to complete tasks in a timely way. Contemplator leaders allow them autonomy to do their job. Successful leaders hire people to fill and cover the weaknesses of the leader and to the strengths of each of the seven LIFE Languages,™ so as not to over duplicate themselves. Exceptional Contemplator Leaders have learned and implemented their Essential Trait of Connecting, as well as the Success Habit of “Closing the Gap.”

Cultural Philosophy“By dividing the work, working independently, and gathering the facts to share with one another as we go, we will continue to be well prepared, know more, and achieve more.”

Contemplators as EmployeesContemplators make great and interesting employees. They have a depth of hidden knowledge about many subjects. If they don’t know how to do something, they are generally fast learners. They need an

environment that allows them some privacy and personal space. They are low-conflict, peaceful employees, and if treated well, they will be loyal to the company and stay with it for years.

Example ProfessionsContemplators are found in many professions. Understanding your LIFE Languages™ should not limit you from exploring professions that interest you. Keep in mind your major Passion is “To Know”. Choose a career or job where there is opportunity to grow and use your desire to continue gathering knowledge. Contemplators are often found as software developers, programmers, draftsmen, engineers, linguists, college professors, high school teachers, pastors, musicians, composers, orchestra conductors/directors, doctors, scientists, researchers, photographers, forest rangers, librarians, postmen, architects, archaeologists, truck drivers, call center operators, writers, and pilots. Contemplators excel in professions that allow cognitive thinking and private space.

Fun Facts

Contemplator Color and MusicThere are seven colors in the color spectrum and seven whole musical notes. In 1666, Sir Isaac Newton united in one mathematical matrix the phenomena of light and sound, and it continues today as the color-music code. Colors vibrate and the measurement of the vibration corresponds with the vibration of the musical notes.

Color – "Sky" BlueThe color that represents the characteristics of the Contemplator is Sky Blue. Blue signifies calmness, peacefulness, and harmony, coolness under pressure, contemplation, spirituality, sincerity, sensitivity, solitude, tranquility, and contentment. Blue brings to mind peacefulness. The saying, "Still water runs deep," fits Contemplators who naturally are deep thinkers.

Contemplator’s Core ValueA Core Value is the central, most important principle or standard characteristic for that particular Life Language. All the aspects of your Life Languages (your Filter, your Need, your Passion, and your Key Character Strength) come together to reveal what that Life Language values most.

The Core Value for the Contemplator Life Language is: TRUTH (Meaning uprightness, honesty, lacking in deceit as well as validating truth).

Contemplator’s Motto“The mind is a terrible thing to waste, so use it.”

Musical Note – GG is a favorite key for the composer of sensitive, peaceful and romantic music. It is the fifth note on the music scale and the vibrations correlate to the color Blue, which represents the Contemplator.

Nature Symbol – OwlThe Nature Symbol for the Contemplator Life Language is the "Wise" OWL. Owls are symbolically thought of as wise, studious, high and lofty, and solitary (you never see a flock of owls). Owls are nocturnal and Contemplators are often nocturnal, doing some of their best work in the peaceful silence of the night.

Your Third Life Language: Producer 48 (Moderate) KendallLife LanguagesProfile™

ALLISON HENDRICKSON- 10/04/2016 ©Life Languages Institute, Inc. Page 16

Producer Summary – Cognitive Category

Producers are characterized by their management skills, graciousness, responsibility, philanthropy, resourcefulness, thoughtfulness, and hospitality. Your KLLP™ Portrait indicates that you are a Moderate Producer. This means that you will have some of the Producer characteristics some of the time, probably by choice and often without too much effort.

Resourcefulness is a strong character strength of Producers, and, as a Moderate Producer, you can be “creatively resourceful” when you choose to be, at times surprising even yourself. Moderate Producers rise to the occasion and become

valuable managers with a balanced management style.

The dissenting order of your Life Languages, the situation, and circumstances determine your generosity with money and resources. However, as a Moderate Producer, you may be selectively generous with your resources. Although you may not always look for the best buys, there will be times when you refuse to purchase something unless it is a quality product at a bargain price. Healthy Producers tend to be grateful for what they have, and treat both people and things with respect and care.

Generally in a marriage, the spouse who scores the highest in Producer is the one who gives direction to the finances, typically making good financial decisions. If that is not the case with you, remember that as a Moderate Producer, you do have it within yourself to develop this ability.

Only about three percent (3%) of those who have taken the KLLP™ speak Producer as their Primary Life Language. This is about the same percentage of the population that retires with financial dignity.

When you are speaking your Moderate Producer you can be quite responsible, hospitable and thoughtful. Of all the Life Languages, Producers manage their lives well, seem to have sufficiency, and live and give in abundance. Celebrate the fact that you are a Moderate Producer and can choose to speak this well-rounded, resourceful and gracious Life Language when you choose to!

Your Fourth Life Language: Responder 42 (Moderate) KendallLife LanguagesProfile™

ALLISON HENDRICKSON- 10/04/2016 ©Life Languages Institute, Inc. Page 17

Responder Summary – Emotive Category

Responders are typically characterized by being compassionate, passionate, sensitive, warm, protective, multifaceted, rescuing and easy to communicate with. Your KLLP™ indicates that you are a Moderate Responder. This means that you will have some of the Responder characteristics some the time and perhaps on occasion, most of them.

As a Moderate Responder, you can be effectively used in today's hurting world, finding that you can activate some of the positive Responder qualities when needed.

You tend to prefer peaceful relationships and conditions. Conflict probably bothers you, but by disengaging from it, you can retain personal peacefulness. This can give you the ability to be a good negotiator or mediator.

You will have occasions when you can freely show warmth and affection with pats on the back and hugs. However, you probably will not be that way all the time with everyone. Moderate Responders usually realize when this is appropriate and when it could be misunderstood, such as in the workplace.

Whether developed or not, it is within you to be creative and imaginative. As a Moderate Responder you can find joy in the creative expression of your feelings and thoughts. Look for ways to express yourself creatively.

You look for the best in others, giving them the benefit of the doubt, but are equally capable of seeing their faults, and usually neither surprises you.

One of your strong character qualities is compassion, yet as a Moderate Responder you may be selective in who you show compassion to, generally choosing those in your immediate circle, or those who are hurting that you can relate to.

You can be an effective leader whom others want to follow because they know you care. In leadership positions you will generally be protective, supportive and rescue those in need.

Among all the Life Languages, Responders are ones with tremendous potential for good because they care so deeply for others. Celebrate the fact that you are a Moderate Responder and can move to your Responder Life Language character qualities when your higher Life Languages are not working for you, or when you need to “speak” Responder in order to connect with another. Remember, you have it within you to be sensitive, warm, protective, compassionate, rescuing, multifaceted, and passionate toward others and life when it is appropriate and when you choose to. Mover Summary – Kinetic Category

Movers are characterized as direct, assertive, pioneering, having integrity, courage, passion, are persuasive, intuitive, protective and a standard bearer. Your KLLP™ indicates you are a Low Mover. This means you will have few, if any, of the innate Mover characteristics. Those you do have will be because you have chosen to learn them or develop them. Generally, Low Movers are not into fast-acting, pioneering, or risk taking activities. If you do take a risk, either emotionally, physically, professionally, or financially, it would usually be based on knowledge, thoughts, or passion.

As a Low Mover, you typically are not overly direct, or forceful, and do not seem to have a need for questioning the motives and agendas of others. You probably do not like abrupt changes without some plans and a good reason. The Mover Life Language has many positive characteristics and strengths, and like any of the LIFE Languages,™ these characteristics can be learned and acquired. Those who speak the Life Language of High Mover will be more difficult for you to relate to, or will require more effort on your part. However, because you have within you all seven LIFE Languages,™ you can access the Mover characteristics as you develop awareness and need for those skills.

Communication Indicators

Just as a thermometer can indicate air or body temperature, the following factors give you further insight into your communication style. They do impact and play a role in your communication but do not determine your communication style. The following Indicators are scored High, Moderate and Low. These scales differ from your Seven LIFE Languages™ scales, as Indicators may change through life experiences and choices.

Indicator Score Result1. Acceptance Level 70 High

2. Interactive Style Introvert 35 Low

3. Internal Control 56 Moderate

4. Intrusion Level 43 Moderate

5. Projective Level 16 Low

6. Susceptibility To Stress 20 Low

7. Learning Preference Order

Visual 66 High

Auditory 27 Moderate

Physical 7 Low

1. Acceptance Level

This scale measures how you tend to view yourself, whether you more easily see your strengths and positive attributes or your weaknesses and negative qualities. Or whether you see a balance between the two—easily and honestly seeing both your negatives and positives qualities.

Your Acceptance Level - High (70)

A High Acceptance Level indicates that you are comfortable in the way you see and accept yourself. You tend to focus more on your positive attributes, recalling your successes and strengths. Negative input about yourself by others, probably will not bother you too greatly or for too long, and your Acceptance will generally not be shaken. Positive input about yourself by others will confirm your Acceptance and will be enjoyed. Those with High Acceptance may want to guard themselves against seeming over-confident by developing humility and a willingness to seek counsel, guidance and suggestions.

2. Interactive Style

This scale indicates how comfortable you are with people most of the time. The KLLP™ measurement of Introvert and Extrovert is somewhat different from other measurements; it measures preference rather than overall behavior. For example, it measures whether you prefer working alone or in groups, or working with

Page 22: PROFILE KLLP™ · Shaper. Shapers play the game of life strategically, with success and ease. Chess Board– On the Chess Board are the letters A and Z. Shapers tend to see the whole

those you know or do not know. As another example, according to our measurements, a person who scores as an Introvert may seem outgoing and somewhat extroverted to those he or she knows well. However, with strangers or those not known as well, the Introvert will typically be less verbal, less outgoing, and not desire to mix with them.

Your Interactive Style – Introvert (35)

Your KLLP™ indicates that you are comfortable not being the center of attention unless you are with people you know well. You are comfortable working behind the scenes, and enjoy small groups (or one-on-one). Constantly being around a lot of people, especially those you do not know well, can be exhausting and you may withdraw to prevent stress. You also may be self-motivated and enjoy working alone; however, when working with groups, you prefer those you know well or people you are comfortable with.

3. Internal Control Level

This scale indicates how you see yourself in the area of self-discipline or self-governing vs. spontaneity or impulsiveness. Generally speaking, if we have high Internal Control, we are less prone to being externally controlled, either by others, circumstances, or experiences. Some people prefer to get tasks done ahead of schedule, and some seem to work better or more creatively doing things at the last minute under a time pressure. The higher our Internal Control, the more disciplined, and our lower the Internal Control the more flexible and spontaneous we are.

Your Internal Control Level – Moderate (56)

A Moderate Internal Control level suggests a relative balance between being self-governed and self-disciplined vs. spontaneous and flexible. This score indicates that you can choose to be self-disciplined when needed or to put aside tasks when appropriate, for example, when someone or a situation interjects itself. Maintaining a healthy balance in this area is probably relatively easy for you, and a goal all of us can seek.

4. Intrusion Level

This scale measures how you see yourself handling interruptions, intrusions, interference, outside stimuli, people, or situations foreign to you, usually uninvited or unexpected. Intrusion Levels indicates how comfortable and tolerant you are with distractions and differences. Some people like a more structured environment, and others flow more easily with uninvited or unscheduled people or situations. For all of us, a good habit to form is the ability to gently or kindly communicate when intrusions become an issue.

Your Intrusion Level - Moderate (43)

Your score indicates that you are probably about average in dealing with intrusion, interruptions, and outside interference. Your reaction or response to outside stimuli such as people and unexpected circumstances would not be excessive. You have the ability to accept and tolerate

Page 23: PROFILE KLLP™ · Shaper. Shapers play the game of life strategically, with success and ease. Chess Board– On the Chess Board are the letters A and Z. Shapers tend to see the whole

much of life as it comes most of the time, but there are also times when you are bothered. You usually handle these unexpected intrusions well - depending on your situation - allowing some amount of time to deal with them, but not letting them take all your time inappropriately.

5. Projective Indicator

This scale indicates how important other’s perception and opinion is to you. For example: a person with a high projective score could be greatly concerned if others had a less than positive opinion of them. A person with a low score would probably shrug it off and not let it bother them. A balance between high and low is valuable because it provides objectivity so that you can evaluate others attitudes about yourself and thereby remain teachable.

Your Projective Level – Low (16)

A Low Projective Level suggests that if others are indifferent to you or even disrespectful, you can probably shrug it off. The opinions of others do not generally impact your attitude or activities. An extremely Low Projective Level can cause others to possibly see you as indifferent, not easily motivated by others, and unconcerned about others’ opinions. Generally, you do what you want to, without a great deal of concern. This tends to make you not overly subjected to peer pressure.

6. Susceptibility To Stress

This scale measures vulnerability to stress that comes into our lives. Stress is in all of our worlds, and comes from various sources, even from having too many good things going on at one time. We are more susceptible to stress when we are too busy, lacking sleep, not feeling well, fatigued, frustrated, lacking exercise, and even unable to express ourselves adequately. Failure to handle stress properly can cause us to move into one or more of the Distress Levels of our Life Languages. We can learn to recognize our stress and do what is necessary to de-stress. Distress, by Life Languages definition, is when you respond negatively to any situation.A key to avoid over reaction to stress and distress is H.A.L.T. Avoid stressful situation when your are: H-hungry, A-angry, L-lonely and T-tired.

Your Susceptibility To Stress – Low (20)

A low susceptibility to stress indicates that, when in stressful situations or when dealing with problems or crises you tend to remain calm rather than overly excited or even panicked. You most likely respond to challenging or unpleasant situations in a similar manner as you do under normal conditions. By allowing stress to pass over you, it is not likely to be a factor in causing you to descend into your Distress Levels. On the other hand, persons who have a Low Susceptibility to Stress may be less aware of danger and may not notice that something is different or amiss as a hyper-vigilant, High Susceptibility to Stress person would.

7. Learning Preference

Page 24: PROFILE KLLP™ · Shaper. Shapers play the game of life strategically, with success and ease. Chess Board– On the Chess Board are the letters A and Z. Shapers tend to see the whole

There are three basic Learning Styles and our preferential way is the one that is easiest for us. We learn in all three ways, but when there is a choice, the one that is more natural, distinct, and clear will typically be our preference. It will usually be our most effective way to experience and sharpen our learning skills.

Your Learning Preference – Visual (66)

Your profile indicates that you are a “Visual” learner. You tend to think in pictures. For example, when learning something new, or learning how to do something, you prefer to see the item, equipment, or at least a picture or diagram. The visual picture stays with you. If you can see it as you learn, you remember it. When you hear or read information, you usually translate it into a visual “picture” in your mind. When someone tells you a story, you often hear it “visually”...the words become pictures. You probably read body language and facial expressions well also. Watching instructive DVDs would be a valuable method of learning for you.

Applying the Seven LIFE Languages™ ™

We encourage you to read, reflect, study, and review your KLLP™ carefully. The more you understand the LIFE Languages™, the more ways you will find to apply them in your relationships. Typically, those who have LIFE Languages™ similar to our own are initially easier for us to communicate and get along with. However, learning to accept and understand the differences in each of the seven LIFE Languages™ can bridge those differences in our Languages. Those very differences can often bring balance and strength to relationships. Try to get together with others who have taken the KLLP™ to discuss and compare your LIFE Languages™ in positive, constructive ways. You will find this to be a great adventure.

When interacting with those who have not taken the KLLP™, remember that the two most frequently spoken LIFE Languages™ by both men and women are Responder (32% of the population) and Doer (28%). Producers are 3% of the population. The other three LIFE Languages™ represent about 10%-13% of the population. So until you get all your friends, family, and co-workers to take the KLLP™ for themselves, if you speak to most people as though they were either Responders or Doers, you probably will not be too far off.

Remember, Responders need unconditional acceptance, and Doers need approval for their accomplishments and for you to do your share of the work. You will be amazed at the changes that will take place if you simply address these two basic Filters and Needs in both children and adults in your life. They will blossom!

Another way to help you understand the communication style of others who have not taken the KLLP™ is try to determine their Category. Do they feel first (Emotive Category), think first (Cognitive Category), or act (Kinetic Category) first? Do they say things like: “I feel that this just isn’t the thing to do,” or “I think that we should consider...”, or “Let’s do it! Why stand around?” Once you have determined their Category, you can respond accordingly.

Take It to the next level. Fred and Anna Kendall cover each of the seven LIFE Languages™ in depth in their classic book, Speaking of Love. Learn how to recognize speakers of each of the LIFE Languages™ including their Distress Levels, how they might decorate their home and office, how they handle finances, how they respond romantically and intimately and much more. Once you have determined a person’s Primary LIFE Language,™ you can communicate with and inspire that person by responding to their Passion or Developmental Need.

An Influencer working for a High Shaper was in danger of being fired for appearing unorganized. Although she was producing good results, her boss thought she seemed too unpredictable. She began making a consistent effort to meet the Shaper boss’s need for agreement and support through long-term planning, projections, and documentation with timelines. Instead of being demoted, she received a salary increase.

She learned to speak his Language! At work A Mover Mom disciplined quickly and directly, often by spanking her six-year old Responder son. He usually became hysterical, angry, and resentful. In addition, her discipline was not changing his behavior. After reading Speaking of Love, this mother began consistently providing the Responder child with unconditional acceptance and affection and showing genuine grief when he misbehaved. Within 8 months, the child’s behavior was so improved that he would confess and occasionally punish himself with time-out.

Keep in mind there are occasions when the KLLP™ may not seem to fully reflect the way you see yourself, or the way others see you. One or more of the following reasons might explain why:

1. The person answering the questions experienced a recent trauma that impacted their answers.

2. The person answering the questions was doing a job that influenced their answers toward a profile consistent with that job.

3. The person answering the questions slanted the answers deliberately toward how they want to be seen or away from how they really are most of the time in most situations.

4. The person answering the questions has experienced a great deal of abuse in their life, and possibly has not dealt with it.

5. The person answering the questions lacks the reading comprehension and/or vocabulary to choose the answer that most fits them.

6. The person answering the questions does not know himself or herself in reality.

7. The person answering the questions went to one extreme or another—answering the questions with no thought, or giving them too much thought—causing an inaccurate profile.

8. The person answering the questions did not answer them they way they are most of the time, most of their life and in most situations.

These are vital to achieving an accurate KLLP™. Remember, your communication style, personality, character, behavior, beliefs, and even your KLLP™ results are not etched in stone. Use the KLLP™ for learning, growing, developing character, improving communication, and building relationships, By approaching the KLLP™ as a learning - growth journey, you can be successful, enjoy life more, and become all that you were created to be.

The KLLP™ Profile Circle

Your Primary Languages are your preferred communication style, but just as your lifestyle and behavior are not static, neither are your seven LIFE Languages™. When your first or second Life Languages are not connecting with someone, remember you have five other Life Languages that you can use.

The Profile Circle shows how you can pull up a lower Life Language to use in that situation. We believe that you are designed to move up and down your LIFE Languages™ Portrait until you consciously or subconsciously find the one that connects with that person, usually by speaking through their Filter. When we are inflexible and stay in only one or two of our stronger Life Languages, we limit ourselves. Under stress, you are most likely to exhibit the distress characteristics of your Primary Life Languages, but you absolutely can learn to pull up on the strengths of your lower Life Languages to help compensate for those situations. This helps you move out of stress and build character in your life. It is important to remember that a high or low score in a given Life Language is neither better nor worse, but simply an indication of your fluency and comfort in that Life Language. Picture your seven LIFE Languages™ on a rotating wheel or carousel that you can turn and use to pull up the strengths of each and every LIFE Language to help you better connect and communicate with others as well as get through stressful or difficult times in your life, career, and relationships.
