1997. For Rolls Royce Industrial Power Group (Aerospace, Newcastle, England) Dr. Caputi designed the approach

to reengineer the procurement process, contributing to the recruitment and training of procurement managers and

buyers.

1998. For Xerox Europe (Manufacturing, Marlow, England), Dr. Caputi supported the Head of the Purchasing

Department reviewing and renegotiating purchasing contracts with vendors at European level (Fleet and Travel)

amounting to a total spend of rd. $ 150 millions.

1999. For News Corporation (Media Industry, London, England), Dr. Caputi supported 4 Companies of the Group

(20th Century Fox, HarperCollins, News International and NDS) reviewing and renegotiating purchasing

contracts with vendors at European level (Freight & Distribution) amounting to a total spend of rd. $ 100 millions.

2000-2002. For Impregilo (Engineering & Construction, Milan, Italy) Dr. Caputi headed a team of 25+ consultants to

create the business case and manage the implementation for a B2B Portal in the Engineering & Construction

Industry. He also led the negotiations with International Players in Europe and delivered a signed MoU with leading

players from Spain, Germany, Sweden and the US. Finally, he selected in Indian Service Provider for the

development of the desired IT platform.

2002-2004. For Unicredito (Global Bank player, Milan, Italy), Dr. Caputi designed the Business Continuity plan for

the Holding and its 20+ subsidiaries. He performed Business Impact Analysis and led the preparation of the Master

Plan for Board’s approval.

2003-2004 For Seceti (Financial services, Milan, Italy), Dr. Caputi designed the Disaster Recovery Strategy

and selected the outsourcing service provider aligned to strategic business decision taken by the Board

upon his recommendation.

2004 - For MTS (Financial services, Milan, Italy), Dr. Caputi selected the outsourcing service provider for its

IT Facility, Application Management and Networking services and gave extensive support until the signature of

the contract with the selected provider.

2004 – For Cassa Risparmio Firenze (Ragional Bank, Firenze, Italy), Dr. Caputi analysed processes and

organisation of their IT Department (90 employees) and redesigned the future state. He also led the

implementation of a new methodology to evaluate the Business Value of IT investments

2004 – For SEA (Airport, Milan, Italy), Dr. Caputi analysed processes and organisation of their IT

Department (120 employees) and redesigned the future state, supporting the selection process of a new CIO.

2005- For Trenitalia (Italian Railways, Rome, Italy), Dr. Caputi led a process to assess the IT applications

portfolio of 4 business units (290 applications for a yearly budget of € 120m) and designed the IT budget for

2005-2008

2005 – 2006. For Getronics (Software vendor, Milan and NL). Dr Caputi was responsible to implement the

BVIT (business value of IT) methodology for their innovative retail banking software (GlobalFS). His team

created a check up & business case framework to evaluate the economic and efficiency gains of the software

deployment @ retail banks.

2006 – For Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Virtual University, Barcelona, Spain), Dr. Caputi was responsible

for a full-fledged IT strategy and reorganization. His team analyzed business, IT processes and current

architecture, evaluated the current organization of the IT Department (50 employees) and designed the to-be

state. The redesign is aligned to the Gartner IS-Lite methodology and resulted in the full implementation of a

process-oriented IT organization.

2007 – For UBS (Bank, Zurich,Switzerland), Dr. Caputi was responsible to identify the business and

technological requirements of a software package for the Corporate Actions and Clearing & Settlement, to

prepare an official Request for Proposal, to short-list potential vendor and to submit a validated presentation to

the Steering Committee of the Bank.

2007 – For Consip (Central Procurement Unit of the Italian Public Institutions), Dr. Caputi was responsible to

benchmark IT processes and activities with regard to 5 peers and derive a general change management plan

2007-2008 – For ICME (Munich, Gemany), and MIP (Politecnico di Milano), Dr. Caputi is managing the research

and communication activities for the first Italian ICT Observatory in the Real Estate Industry.
