Hanwha was awarded a contract in the Philippines to construct the world’s largest domed arena with a seating capacity of 50,000. Built on 74,000m2, the construction of the Philippine Arena was completed in May 2014.

Hanwha Engineering & Construction continues to solidify its market presence in the Middle East, having won a water and power plant project in Saudi Arabia for Ma’aden, the state-owned coal mining company. The plant was built as a turnkey solution from design to construction by Hanwha and it was successfully completed in 2010. In February 2014, Ma’aden awarded Hanwha a USD 935 million utility-scale chemical construction project, further confirming its capacity and technical ability.

Hanwha Life began sales in China in January 2013, working to improve the quality of financial services available through 3 offices and 197 bancassur-ance networks.
Hanwha Corp. trades steel, petrochemi-cals, machinery, and a multitude of other goods and services through local subsidi-aries in Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and India. It has branches in Vietnam, Indone-sia, Thailand, Taiwan, the UAE, the Philip-pines, and Myanmar, and is now expanding in Southeast Asia.
In May 2012, Hanwha E&C signed a USD 8 billion contract with Iraq’s National Invest-ment Commission to develop a new city. Scheduled for completion in 2019, the new city development includes 100,000 public housing units and all of the necessary supporting public infrastructure.
Hanwha Q CELLS’ photovoltaic plant in Malaysia began cell production in 2009 with an annual capacity of 900MW and became the hub of Hanwha Q CELLS’ photovoltaic production.
Hanwha Life Vietnam has been experienc-ing rapid growth since it began selling policies in April 2009. Hanwha Life further expanded into the Southeast Asian insur-ance market in December 2012 with the acquisition of a competitive insurance company in Indonesia.

ergy task force to reduce CO2 emissions and save

recycling waste paper and waste concrete and
reusing computer toner and waste ink.

ternity items is being distributed to employees
who are pregnant or whose spouse is pregnant.
Expecting and current mothers are also given a
special pink ID card holder so they receive spe-
cial care. With these programs, a total of eight
companies, including four from the manufactur-
ing and construction sector, two from the finance
sector, and two from the services & leisure sec-
tor, were certified as family-friendly corporations
by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.
