The file link is labeled EXE and 51 MB Self-extracting RAR archive Remember the location on hard drive where it is stored Double Click the downloaded xampp-win exe file Accept all defaults dont change directory It should create a program group in a All Programs named Apache Friends There should a link under it called XAMPP Control Panel There is a directory, xampp, under C drive (see the bottom from Windows Explorer) Form All Programs Apache Friends, click Xampp Control Panel Click once on Start button in front of Apache and then of MySql. You should see two green labels Running Open a IE or Firefox browser window Enter address: You should see a Welcome Screen for XAMPP Create a subdirectory named virtuemart under C:\xampp\htdocs Copy the virtuemart bundle file, VirtueMart_1.1.4_eCommerce_Bunde_Joomla_ tgz, into the new virtuemart folder Unzip the virtuemart bundle file VirtueMart_1.1.4_eCommerce_Bunde_Joomla _ tgz into this new virtuemart subfolder Enter : Select en_US English Click Next Pre-Installation Checks should be all Yes Click Next Click Next again to accept the License terms
