School of Professional ProgrammesThe School of Professional Programmes o�ers professional courses in three main categories:Accountancy, Business Administration, and Information Communication Technology (ICT). Students of Accountancy and Business courses can be examined locally by the KenyaAccountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB) or by foreign examinationbodies such as Association of Chartered Certi�ed Accountants (ACCA) or the Association ofBusiness Executives (ABE).

Students are required to register with the examination body of their speci�ed programme inaddition to applying to KCA University. Examination bodies charge registration, examination, andannual renewal fees; details can be found in the fee structure booklet. Intakes are for January and July except for the IT courses that have an intake every week. Mockresults can be used for admissions.

PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMMESEntry Requirements

KCSE Mean Grade C+ with C+ in Mathematics and English

Certi�ed Public Accountants (CPA)Certi�ed Public Accountants are skilled and competent professional accountants, auditors,�nance managers, tax consultants and practitioners.

Certi�ed Public Secretaries (CPS)Certi�ed Public Secretaries are expert practitioners in corporate governance, corporatesecretarial practice, consultancy, business management and administration, and human resourcemanagement.

Certi�ed Securities Investment Analyst (CSIA)Certi�ed Securities Investment Analysts are experts in �nancial analysis, consultants andpractitioners in investments and securities, portfolio management of retirement bene�t schemesand investment banking.

Certi�ed Information Communication Technologist (CICT)Certi�ed Information Communication Technologists are skilled and competent systemdevelopers and programmers, network administrators, systems engineers, ICT consultants andpractitioners.

Association of Chartered Certi�ed Accountants - ACCA (UK)The Association of Chartered Certi�ed Accountants is a recognized international quali�cationthat embeds the global accounting education standards. A student acquires core knowledge inall areas of accountancy so that he/she can choose a suitable �nance role in any industry. ACCAfocuses on professional values, ethics, and governance which are essential as the accountingprofession moves towards strengthened codes of conduct, regulation and legislation.

Accounting Technician Certi�cate (ATC)The Accounting Technicians quali�cation equips candidates with skills and competencies to workas middle level accountants providing technical support in accounting, auditing, and taxation.

Information Communication Technology Technicians (ICTT)Information Communication Technology Technicians have the technical know-how and skills towork in the dynamic ICT industry as technicians in systems development, systems programming,administration, and maintenance.

Association of Business Executives (ABE) Business AdministrationThe ABE Business Administration programme provides the student with theoretical backgroundin the study of business while developing a range of practical skills. Major topics covered includemanagement, marketing, economics, and accounting.
