When Toro set out to design a cutting deck tough enough to withstand the rigors of commercial mowing, the process entailed much more

than a few design modifi cations – it meant revolutionizing deck construction. What resulted is the patented TURBO FORCE cutting platform–

a productivity-enhancing deck now available on Toro mid-size walk-behinds and zero turn riders. This industry-leading innovation includes…

The secret to this productivity enhancement lies in the deck’s

patented adjustable front baffl e, a Toro exclusive that allows

operators to fi ne tune their cutting performance based on

changing grass conditions. In long, dense grass or wet conditions

that normally require reduced mowing speeds, the front baffl e

can be opened wide to increase the discharge opening and

achieve faster mowing speeds. When mowing in less demanding

conditions, the baffl e can be closed down to yield micro-sized

grass particles and maximize discharge velocity. The baffl e position

can be easily changed in a matter of seconds, and without tools,

by simply adjusting the heavy-duty cam levers mounted on the

top of the deck.

Condition-Adaptive Cutting For Maximum Productivity

The fully-welded, fabricated deck shell of the Z Master TURBO

FORCE deck is constructed of 7-gauge, high-strength steel

that’s 33% thicker and 75% stronger than ordinary 10-gauge

commercial steel used in 7/10 decks. The deck shell is extremely

resistant to impacts and abrasion. At a full 5-1/2” deep, it has

more than enough capacity to handle the most demanding

conditions. For added protection, the deck is equipped with

a 1/2-inch steel wear guard on the trim side and a fully welded

bull-nose bumper with an integral underskirt to reduce blowout

of grass and dust.

An Ultra Durable Deck Shell That Resists Impacts

Contractors want spindles that hold up, instead of breaking down.

So Toro invented a rugged spindle assembly capable of surviving

impacts that would destroy lesser models. A stout cast iron housing

with a massive 9-3/8-inch diameter base and six mounting bolts

absorbs impact loads and distributes them across a broader area of

the deck shell. Plus, the solid, one-inch diameter shaft is machined

from high-strength alloy steel, not the common lower-grade steel

used in many competitive models.

The Industry’s Toughest Spindle Assemblies

Toro’s fl exible rubber discharge chute allows for close trimming

without damaging the chute or landscape structures in its way.

Now standard on every TURBO FORCE deck, the chute’s exclusive

design provides exceptional dispersion while protecting operators,

bystanders and personal property from inadvertent damage.
