Personal Life• I currently have two young children. A boy and a girl. There names are

Jerome and Veronica. I have a beautiful wife named Carina. I do not get to spend much time with them because I am always traveling with my career. When I do get family time I make the best of it. I keep in touch with my old school friends that I use to go to school with. I went to Trafalgar Middle school and than LVR Secondary school. I went to Gonzaga Collage where my Basketball career took off. My home town is Nelson B.C. I visit there regularly but live in the United States now.

My Career• I have had a very successful career as an NBA player. I have won two NBA

championships so far in my career. I play on the Miami Heat. I trained at Gonzaga Collage. I learned new skills there and got better at being an overall player. The school helped me get into the NBA and I am happy I trained there. I have been so successful from what they have taught me. I am a better shooter and dribbler from the hard practicing and the skills that Gonzaga helped me to acquire. I have currently signed a two year contract with the Miami Heat worth seventeen million dollars.

Life In The NBA• Life in the NBA is fun but difficult. I love basketball so I love my job. It is

well paying but takes you away from your family on a regular bases. It’s a sacrifice that comes with the job. The hardest thing that I deal with in the NBA is all the travel and all the publicity. The publicity can be good and bad. If you make one mistake you are all over sports news and controversy starts on your reputation. But publicity can also make you feel better when you have a good game and all the fans are excited. Most people think that playing in the NBA is easy but it is quite hard just like every other job is. I am very happy that I have exceeded in becoming a great NBA player.

A Typical Day At Work• On a typical work day I have my alarm set for 7:00 a.m. I get up, make

breakfast for my wife and kids. It’s usually pancakes. I than head for the gym and start conditioning and practicing for our game tonight at 6:00 p.m. It is a home game so I don’t need to travel anywhere. I spend the whole day at the gym preparing and practicing. After the game we have a debrief of how the game went and stretch out so we stay loose. This changes from day to day do to off season and pre-season. It also has to do with where the game is scheduled for and how much travel time there is.

My Success • My way to success was trying my hardest. I tried my hardest everyday

playing the sport I love. I have passion for my sport so I have succeeded. Going to Gonzaga Collage helped me succeed to getting into the NBA. I have learned that you always need to try your hardest, be passionate and truthful. I have many great teammates that have helped me get better and pushed me through the hard times of being a professional athlete.

Moving On• I want to win more NBA championships and be the best. I work harder and

harder everyday in life so I can be the best. I want to be MVP sometime in my NBA career. I don’t know how much longer I will stay in the NBA because I would like to spend more time with my family. Being a professional athlete is very hard and exhausting. But it is what I love at the end of the day.
