O R D E R

WHEREAS there were two (2) vacancies available for being filled up in the post of Jr. Sorter in University of Calcutta, Kolkata under the administrative control of the

Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal;

WHEREAS the aforesaid vacancies were reserved, for OBC-B candidates being roster point No. 9th & 19th in the 100-point roster of vacancies as prescribed in the Notification No, 134-BCWRC/MR-103/94 dated 25.03.1999 No. 6316-BCW/MR-84/10 dated 24.09.10 issued by the Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of

West Bengal;

WHEREAS the aforesaid vacancies were not filled up by the College Authority by

the candidate of right community due to bonafide mistake arising out of ignorance;

WHEREAS the authority concerned has nOw undertaken to ensure due observance

of reservation norms in future and has offered to carry forward these reservations in this

cases to the subsequent unreserved vacancies and approached the Government for

regularization;

AND WHEREAS the Govt, in the Backward Classes Welfare Department is of the

view that in the interest of public service and due observance of rules of reservation

hereafter, it is necessary to regularize these cases as fait accompli;

NOW, THEREFORE, in terms of provisions contained in the first proviso to subsection (2) of section (7) of the West Bengal Backward Classes (Other than Scheduled

Castes and Scheduled Tribes) (Reservation of vacancies in Services and Posts) Act,

2012(West Bengal Act. XXXIX of 2012), the Governor is pleased to regularize the

aforesaid irregularities subject to condition that the reservations against the reserved

vacancies already filled up otherwise than by the candidates for whom the vacancy was

originally reserved as aforesaid, shall be carried forward to the nearest unreserved

vacancies at roster point No. 23rd & 27th respectively and be filled up accordingly.

ORDER

WHEREAS there were 09 (Nine) vacancies available for being filled up in the post of Assistant

Librarian, Grade-11 in University of Calcutta under the administrative control of Higher Education

Department, Government of West Bengal;

WHEREAS the aforesaid vacancies were reserved for SG,ST,SC,SC,SC,SC,SC,ST & SC, candidate

being the lst,4th,7th,l 1 th, 15th, 18th,21 st,24th & 28th vacancy in the 100-point roster of vacancy as prescribed

in the Notification No.6316-BCW/MR-84/10, dt.24.09.10 issued by the Backward Classes Welfare


WHEREAS the aforesaid vacancies were not filled up by the University authority by the candidate of

right community due to bonafide mistake arising out of ignorance;

WHEREAS the authority concerned has now undertaken to ensure due observance of reservation

norms in future and has offered to carry forward this reservation in this case to the subsequent unreserved

vacancy and approached the Government for regularization;

AND WHEREAS the Govt, in the Backward Classes Welfare Department is of the view that in the

interest of public service and due observance of rules of reservation hereafter, it is necessary to regularize this

case as fait accompli;

NOW, THEREFORE, in terms of provisions contained in the first proviso to sub-section (2) of

section (6) of the West Bengal Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe (Reservation of vacancies in Services and

Posts) Act, 1976 as amended from time to time, the Governor is pleased to regularize the aforesaid irregularity

subject to condition that the reservation against the reserved vacancies already filled up otherwise than by

candidates for whom the vacancy was originally reserved as aforesaid, shall be carried forward to the nearest

unreserved vacancies.namely,31st, 33rd, 34th, 37th, 39th, 41st, 46th, 48th & 50th vacancies for filling up by

SC,ST,SC,SC,SC,SC,SC»ST & SC candidates,and be filled up accordingly.
