There are two basic methods of manufacturing the floor pad material:

DIPPING

Thedippingmethodofmanufacturingsaturatesthepadwithabrasivesandresinscompletelythroughoutthepad.Thisisbetterandallowsthepadtocontinuetoperformthroughoutitsentirelife.Itwillbejustaseffectiveduringthelasthalfofitslifeasthefirsthalf.

SPRAYING

InthemanufacturingofFloorMachinePads,thesprayingmethodonly gives a top coating to theproduct.Whenyouwearoutthesurfaceofapad,younolongerhaveaneffectivepad.

THICKNESS

EDCObyETCspecificationsforfloorpadsare1”+/-1/8”.Whencomparingpricesoffloorpads,thicknessandtotalqualitymustbeconsidered.

MINERALS (Abrasives)

Onlythefinestqualitysiliconecarbide,aluminiumoxideandothermilderabrasivesareused inETCfloorpads.Ourpadsdon’tuseimpureregrindabrasives.

FIBRE (Natural and Synthetic)

ETC is known for being the first manufacturer in theworld to manufacture both natural fibre and syntheticfloorpads.Allsyntheticfibresusedarenew,100%virginpolyesterandnylonfibres,ofthefinestqualityavailable.

RESINS

Theresinsappliedtoafloorpadshouldbeofthehighestquality.Resins not only hold thepad together but alsoplayanimportantpartintheretentionofabrasivesandinthebuffingoffinishes.Weuseonlythefinestresinsandblendthemtoproducefloorpadsscientificallydesignedtoperformasdesired.

QUALITY CONTROL

Qualitycontrolisakeyfactorinthecostandqualityofaproduct.Wecutourpadsbythemostmodern,computerdrivenequipment.Therawmaterialsareinspectedduringthemanufacturingprocessandthenthepadsareeach,individually inspectedwhen cut, to ensure consistencyand the highest quality.
