Trietilenglicol(TEG) Best Dehydration Chemical for natural gas01

A. Trietilenglicol Description

Trietilenglicol(TEG) is a colorless, viscous liquid with a slight odor. It is non-flammable, mildlytoxic, and considered non-hazardous.The oil and gas industries use TEG to dehydrate naturalgas as well as other gases including CO2, H2S, and other oxygenated gases. Industrial usesinclude adsorbents and absorbents, functional fluids in both closed and open systems, intermediates, petroleum production processing aids, and solvents. TEG is used in themanufacture of a host of consumer products that include anti-freeze, automotive care products, building and construction materials, cleaning and furnishing care products, fabric, textile, andleather products, fuels and related products, lubricants and greases, paints and coatings, personal care products, and plastic and rubber products.

CORE PRODUCTS INTRODUCTIONEthyl Mercaptan(EM) Odorization chemical for LPG (propane, butane) & natural gas02

A. Ethyl Mercaptan (EM)

Ethyl Mercaptan is a colorless or yellowish liquid or a gas with a pungent, garlic or skunk-likeodor. It is used as an additive to odorless gases like butane, propane, natural gas and LPG(Liquified Petroleum Gas) to give them a warning odor. It is also used in in agrochemicalsynthesis to make Phorate and Clethodim as well as many other pesticides, fungicides, pharmaceuticals, insecticides, resins, etc.

CORE PRODUCTS INTRODUCTION

Tert-butyl mercaptan (TBM) Natural gas odorization chemical

Tert-Butyl mercaptan (2-methyl-2-propanethiol, CAS No 75-66-1) is a highly odorous andrepulsive clear liquid, with an odor threshold of < 1ppb. It is a component in several GasOdorants for use in odorizing natural gas so that leaks can be detected by smell before explosivelevels are reached. It is also used as a chemical intermediate for synthesis of agrichemicals andother chemical substances.

CORE PRODUCTS INTRODUCTION

Tetrahydrothiophene (Thiophane,THT) Most stable Natural Gas & Propane odorant

A. Tetrahydrothiophene (Thiophane,THT)

Tetrahydrothiophene is a colourless liquid with a very characteristic smell and an extremely lowodour threshold at 1 ppb. Tetrahydrothiophene (THT) is used as such or in combination withodour sulphur compounds to odorise natural gas. Due to its structure (cyclic sulphide), THT iscurrently the most stable gas odorant. The use conditions of THT as odorant for natural gas aredescribed in the International Standard ISO 13734.
