ACOUSTIC BOARDSEGGER ProAcoustic panels are boards with a barely noticeable micro perforation that are preferably suitable for the use as sound insulating element. The boards are multilayered and consist of chipboard or a honeycomb core that is one or two sided faced with EGGER laminate. Nearly one tenth of the surface is fi lled with 1 mm drill holes that are placed in a linear grid.
PROACOUSTICSTANDARDBOARDSSound absorption board for wall or ceiling paneling with barely noticeable micro perforations and a decorative laminate fi nish on one side. Decor range available from stock with a sheet size of 3020 × 1320 × 20 mm.
PROACOUSTICFURNITUREBOARDSProAcoustic furniture boards have the same composition as the standard boards, but have a decorative laminate surface on both sides. Areas of application include furniture with an acoustic function, but also partition walls and ceiling panels.
PROACOUSTICLIGHTBACKPANELSSound absorbing back panels on free standing furniture can improve room acoustics by their absorption area. ProAcoustic Light Back Panels consist of a cardboard honeycomb core, that is covered by a perforated laminate bonded board.

LOW FLAMMABILITY PRODUCTS – FLAMMEXThe Flammex product spectrum off ers a range of low fl ammability products that provide additional protection in case of a fi re. When a fi re starts, the boards are able to delay the fl ash point (the time it takes until the fi re fully develops). This can signifi cantly increase the amount of time available to initiate emergency response measures. In addition to the essential protective function in case of fi re, low fl ammability EGGER products also guarantee design versatility thanks to decors and colours that match other products.

_LOWFLAMMABILITYPRODUCTS
In our core values we have allocated the sustainable use of wood-based materials the highest priority.
FROM TREE TO PRODUCT – A CLOSED CYCLE
We count on fully integrated locations. There, wood is initially used materially. This extends from the solid wood production in the sawmill, up to the production of wood-based materials such as laminate floorings. Wood residues and recycled wood that cannot be used in production is utilised as thermal fuel in our biomass power plants to generate energy for production. We therefore optimise our use of the resource wood to protect our climate. We have incorporated all the processes of our philosophy into our ecological cycle.
* PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes) and/or FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)
RECYCLING AND THERMAL UTILISATION OF WOOD
Part of the wood we use consists of recycled wood residues. Those wood materials that accrue during production and which cannot be used materially are combusted in biomass power plants. The energy created through this is utilisedfor the drying of the cut timber and in the production of wood-based materials.
PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT BEGINS WITH SUSTAINABLE FORESTRY
Sustainable forestry has the highest priority at EGGER. For the production of wood materials EGGER exclusively uses wood from forest thinnings and waste wood in selected quality from sawmills, as well as suitable recycled wood. Within the chain of custody, our plants are PEFC* and / or FSC*-certified depending on the availability of wood.

CERTIFYING THE SUSTAINABILITY OF BUILDINGS
ENVIRONMENTALPRODUCTDECLARATIONS
We had the sustainability and environmental compatibility of our products confi rmed through independent tests and have disclosed this information in our environmental product declarations (EPDs). These are used in certifying the sustainability of buildings. EPDs are available for all key EGGER product groups. We also obtained EMAS certifi cation for our plant in Unterradlberg (AT) in 2010. This voluntary environmental management system supports EGGER in the continuous improvement of operational environmental protection.
Various building certifi cation systems are currently in use, such as DGNB in Germany, HQE in France, Breeam in Great Britain and LEED in the USA. An European standard-setting body is working towards convergence of the existing standards.
