Hydraulic AccessoriesDesiccant Air Breathers
Area of Application:Ventilation of the tank with moisture absorption and air filtration.
Characteristics:• available in 4 executions• temperature range: max 70°C• refillable with drying agent (available separatly)• can be delivered complete with adaptor plates and
contamination indicator• replacement air filter insert SGB separatly available (see page 23)
Easy hygroscopic indication is possible with the drying agent’s capability to change colours with increasing moisture.
Functions:First, the moisture in the incoming air is absorbed when passingthrough the drying agent. After passing through the drying agent thedirt particles are caught in the air filter element. With the moistureabsorbed, the oxidation process in the hydraulic system will bedecreased and the life of the oil and the machine will be extended.
Hygroscopic indication:As moisture is absorbed, the drying agent granules will graduallychange colour from red to orange. An optional indicator also showsthe remaining capacity of the air filter element. When the granuleschange colour to orange, change them.
Desiccant air breathers SDB do not contain any dangeroussubstances according to EC Council directive 88/379/EEC.

Hydraulic AccessoriesABL Large Air Breathers
Currently most airbreathers are supplied with a paper interior, whose micron rating is out of line with the rating of the oil filter. Relatively large dirt particles are admitted into the hydraulic system with the incoming air. Moreover airbreathers of the ‘spin-on’ type are creating an alarming impact on the environment.
Taking a fresh look at the ABL Airbreather filter, consisting of a baseplate, a replaceable LEIF® element and a removable cap with a visual indicator. Thanks to the 3 micron abs. LEIF® glassfibre filter element, an absolute control on the cleanliness of incoming air is assured. Once contaminated, only the LEIF® element is replaced. Keeping replacement cost low and supporting a lower impact on the environment.
The baseplate and cap are made from a high impact resistant plastic and are re-usable. The cap is equipped with a visual indicator with a 0,04 bar memory function, warning of too large contamination and the ‘blocking’ of the element, whereby damage could be caused to the hydraulic system. The baseplate port can be equiped with G11/4"BSP* or 11/2"UN-16-2B thread. Additionally a mounting adapter and an adapter with filling connection are available as accessories.

They are produced in alluminium alloy and can be divided into two categories:
Single Piece Bell Housings
• bell housings made of a single piece
Composite Bell Housings
• bell housings made of several components - base bell housing + flange -base bell housing + distance ring + flange
Materials and Material Properties
• Bellhousings: Aluminium alloy for die-and shell-casting • Centering rings: Cut and zinc-plated sheet metal • Working temperature: -30°C to +80°C On request, all our bellhousings can be supplied with specific coating or surface treatment to make them also fully suitable under rough circumstances.

AccumulatorsAccumulator Charging Kit
To maintain optimum performance in hydraulic systems employing accumulators, it is recommended that the gas pre-charge pressure be checked regularly. A loss in the gas pre-charge pressure will cause a drop in the system efficiency and may cause damage to the accumulator bladder, diaphragm or piston.
The charging kit allows hydro-pneumatic accumulators, whether bladder type, diaphragm type or piston type, to be charged with nitrogen to the desired pressure. For this purpose, the kit is connected to a commercially available nitrogen cylinder by a flexible hose.
The kit can also be used by technicians to check the current gaspre-charge pressure. The control valve incorporates a pressure gauge to permit direct pressure readings as well as a check valve to prevent back flow in the case of low pressures in the nitrogen cylinder. A manual bleed valve allows excess pressure to be reduced to the desired operating pre-charge level.
The kit has adaptors to connect the hose to the nitrogen cylinder as well as adaptors to connect the control valve to the accumulator.
Accumulator Charging Kits come equipped with Safety Pattern Gauges which have high impact resistance.
