As a reliable source of ultrapure water, the arium® pro series offers a flexible and modular system which, compared to conventional devices, demonstrates excellent added value. All systems meet and exceed the ASTM Type 1 water quality standards and ensure the best reproducible results in their class. Protein Purification Products

Sartorius’s Vivaspin® range of centrifugal devices cover a range of sam-ple volumes from 100µL up to 20mL and MWCOs from 3000 up to 0.2µL. For larger volumes, Sartorius offer their Vivacell 70 and Vivacell 100 units which can be used in rotors 250mL. These can also be pressurised to assist throughput particularly where a high particle load is present.

For even larger samples, up to 250mL samples, the Vivacell 250 can be used and provides numerous advantages over stirred cells. Vivaflow 50 and Vivaflow 200 models use thin channel flip-flow recircula-tion paths for handling volumes up to 5 litres.

Sartorius’s Vivacon® 500 centrifugal concentrators offer the optimal solutions for DNA and protein concentration and buffer exchange applications. New Vivacon® 500-PCR grade are treated with ethylene oxide in a validated process in order to deactivate all traces of DNA that might interfere with subse-quent amplification procedures.

This intelligent microplate washer is designed for washing various types of standard 96-well microtitre plates, mi-crostrips as well as microarrays on FastFRAME (rectangular well shape). It is suitable for washing wells with different bottom shapes: flat, U-shape and V-shape. UV Cabinets for PCR operations

These UV cabinets are designed for clean operations with DNA samples. They provide protection against contamination. All models are bench-top type, made of metal framework, glass (or acrylic) walls and working surface painted with powder enamel or made of stain-less steel. UV–Cabinets are equipped with an open UV lamp installed in the upper hood. UV-radiation from the open lamps disinfects the working area inactivating DNA/RNA fragments during 15–30 min of exposure. A digital timer controls duration of the direct UV irradia-tion. A daylight lamp provides proper illumination of the working surface. Many models are available.

Heating and Cooling Dual Dry Block

Combitherm-2 CH 3-150 is specially designed to thermo-stabilise materials at temperatures from –3°C to +150°C according to meth-ods of analysis. To obtain useful functionality and decrease foot-print of instruments Combitherm-2 consists of 2 independent cool-ing and heating plug-in thermo blocks combined in a common elec-tronic circuit board as well as inside a common external body. The left part of the front keyboard is responsible for setting parameters for cooling plug-in blocks and the right part — for heating plug-in blocks. Both of them are regulated independently and can realize up to 16 programs including temperature and time in each program. Peltier technology is used for cooling below room temperature; PCB is used for heating till +150°C. Separation of cooling and heating parts from each other increases durability of the instrument and speed of temperature changing after setting a new program.

This Mini-rotator Bio RS-24 provides vertical rotation of the platform. Axygen's PlateMax Semi-Automatic Plate Sealer is ideal for the low to medium throughput labora-tory that requires uniform and consistent sealing of microplates. The PlateMax sealer will accept a full range of plates for PCR, assay or storage applications and seal a wide range of plate heights. The Platemax has a user-friendly control panel and the sealing operation if automated to ensure consistent results.

Tube Tumbler Rotator

Useful for a variety of applications, from gentle rotating to end over end tumbling and everything in between, the Tube Tumbler is a product that every laboratory needs.

The unique design of the Tube Tumbler allows it to be used in either a horizontal or vertical plane with a simple twist of the rotisserie plate. Each rotisserie consists of two moveable plates and a support rod. When the plates are perpendicular to the rod, a gentle rotating motion is created - tubes rotate parallel to the axis. When the plates are moved parallel to the axis, tubes move end over end.

The plates can be placed at any position in between for more or less vigorous mixing, and are independent of each other allowing them to be placed at different positions. In addition, the plates are removable and can be interchanged with the plates from other rotisseries, allowing different tube sizes to be mixed at the same time.

Operating speed is fixed at 20 rpm. The unit is supplied complete with a rotisserie for 36 x 1.5/2.0 ml tubes. Optional rotisseries accept 5 ml, 7 ml, 15 ml & 50 ml tubes.

The sturdy construction of the Tube Tumbler stands up to constant use, yet the unit is light enough to be easily moved.

The Tube Tumbler is safe for operation in temperature controlled environments from +4ºC to 65ºC.

Concerned about your CO2 cylinder running out?

Pneuchange was developed specifically for use with CO2 and oth-er gas dependent incubators although it is now used in many other applications. Since it's introduction it has become the unit of choice in thousands of laboratories world-wide. Pneuchange is recom-mended and supplied by most European incubator manufacturers and distributors and is compatible with all makes of incubator. On depletion of a cylinder the unit automatically switches to the alternative cylinder with no disruption of supply. Exhausted cylin-ders can then be replaced at your convenience. The unit requires no manual reset.
