In addition, early production solutions can be provided for small reserves that would otherwise not meet acceptable risk criteria or would be uneconomic to produce with a permanent facility, thereby the vessel becomes the permanent ‘life of field’ solution. The Knutsen Vessel (EWT, EP & TP) solution combines a dynamically positioned tanker vessel equipped with process equipment to separate water, residuals, solids, and related gas from the crude. The turret moored designed vessel can suitably be applied to alongside or subsea projects, the stabilized crude oil stored in the vessels cargo tanks can then be transported or offloaded to shuttle tankers and discharged to oil terminals.
