Mineral Oil Concentrates

Product Applications and Properties

OPORTET® - W100

Cooling lubricant concentrate to TRGS 611 standards with a mineral oil content of about 45%. OPORTET® - W100 has universal uses in concentrations of 4 to 10% for working on steel, cast iron and aluminium alloys. OPORTET® - W100 solutions are transparent in use and have outstanding cleaning and residue characteristics.

OPORTET® - W200

Unusually bio stable, universal cooling lubricant with no chlorine, nitrite or easily nitrosable amines. Total mineral and diester oil content of about 45%. OPORTET® - W200 emulsions are used in metal removing and non-cutting processing of steel and aluminium. The concentrate used is of the order of 4 to 10%. OPORTET® - W200 forms extremely biostable emulsions with water with little foam that are able to absorb great pressure. Available as W200BB for use with non-ferrous metal.

OPORTET® - W200SL

Very effi cient universal cooling lubricant concentrate for working iron, steel, castings and aluminium. The increased mineral oil content and balanced combination of mineral oil, diestel oil, surfactants and emulsifi ers give this product excellent residue characteristics and very little foam in the emulsions. Outstandingly suitable for modern CNC machinery.

OPORTET® - W600

Economical, universal cooling lubricant for general metalworking. The high mineral oil content of this product ensures excellent residue characteristics. The recommended concentration is from 4 to 10%.

OPORTET® - W700VK

Boron free cooling lubricant with a very low pH value. Selected top-quality ingredients make this product particularly hypoallergenic and endow it simultaneously with outstanding residue characteristics.

OPORTET® - W770

Boron-free cooling lubricant concentrate for general machining of iron, steel, cast iron and aluminum alloys. The low-odor and low-foaming emulsions have good corrosion protection properties.

OPORTET® - W800

Cooling lubricant concentrate without boron or amine. Universal uses in working with iron, steel, castings, non-ferrous metals and alloys.

OPORTET® - W900

New premium coolant, universally applicable for the usual materials. Excels in use by a fa-vorable foaming and residue behavior. Very good pH-stability and bio stability. Free of form-aldehyde depot substances (FAD).

OPORTET® - RG2

Cooling lubricant concentrate with outstanding pressure absorption capabilities especially suitable for heavy steel and alloy work. The concentration used varies from 5 to 10% depending on the process involved.

OPORTET® - 8000

Cooling lubricant concentrate with a high proportion of mineral oil with polar lubricants reducing cutting forces and yielding outstanding worked surfacing. OPORTET® - 8000 can be used for non-cutting and material removing processing of steel, iron, aluminium and alloys. The concentrations used here are from 5 to 10% and are milky and low in foam. Mineral oil content around 75%.

OPORTET® - G385

Cooling lubricant concentrate especially for use in precision optical applications. Offers high dilution options, long service life of the solutions, non-hardening with a result that diamond tools do not clog and swarf is removed completely. Recommended concentrations for these uses are from 2 to 5%.

Fully Synthetic Concentrates


OPORTET® - IPN

Fully synthetic concentrate. Universal uses in concentrations of from 3 to 10% for general material removal processing of steel, castings and aluminium alloys. OPORTET® - IPN solutions are clear. Oil leaks are not emulsifi ed. Available as OPORTET® - IPN7 for processing non-ferrous metal.

OPORTET® - TS

Preservative free, fully synthetic concentrate to TRGS 611 standards. The high lubricating properties of this product make it ideal for all sawing work even in machinery employing very high speeds and with long movement distances. OPORTET® - TS solutions are clear in concentrations from 5 to 10% and suitable for circulatory and sprinkler cooling systems. Available as OPORTET® - TS7 for processing non-ferrous metal.

OPORTET® - A1

Preservative free, fully synthetic concentrate to TRGS 611 standards. OPORTET® - A1 has universal uses in heavy duty machining of iron, steel, non-ferrous metal and alloys and is especially useful in all sawing processes. It has excellent lubrication properties, can be diluted virtually as desired and has a long service life as a working solution and in tools.

OPORTET® - A800

Fully synthetic boron and bactericidal free concentrate for easy machining, especially for grinding of iron, steel and non-ferrous metals. The crystal clear solutions are extremely low foaming and pH-stable.

OPORTET® - 492

Fully synthetic grinding water additive for metalworking, particularly for grinding tools of hard metal (e.g. tungsten carbide). This product has very good foam and residue characteristics. Cobalt inhibition is ensured if the use concentration range of 3 to 5% is adhered to.

OPORTET® - 10/96

Grinding concentrate for use in all grinding operations involving iron, glass and non-ferrous metal. OPORTET® - 10/96 yields clear solutions with very little foam regardless of water hardness. These solutions are very biostable and have good corrosion protection properties. Use concentration range is usually from 3 to 5%.

OPORTET® - Multi

Metalworking oil on a top-quality refi ned mineral oil base. Universal uses in all material removing and non-cutting processing of iron, steel and aluminium alloy. Characterised by excellent fl ushing properties, long service life and outstanding residue characteristics.

OPORTET® - A5

Mineral oil product with a high boiling point on a paraffi n base specially formulated for lighter grinding and cutting of precious stones, glass, non-ferrous metal and alloys.

OPORTET® - PLD

Highly refi ned thin mineral oil product without any aromatic ingredients, water white and odourless. OPORTET® - PLD is intended for use in drilling, cutting, grinding and lapping precious stones and glass. It can also be used as an insulator. Good skin tolerance, outstanding cooling properties, excellent fl ushing characteristics, good settling properties and a high fl ash point offer users many benefi ts.

OPORTET® - K10/49

Wholly volatile punching aid on a hydrocarbon base for light punching of steel, non-ferrous metal and alloys.

OPORTET® - K10/1

Virtually wholly volatile punching aid on a hydrocarbon base with very good lubricating and friction characteristics for light to medium punching and profi ling processes involving steel, non-ferrous metal and alloys.

OPORTET® - K10/60

Punching aid of especially high quality mild solvents with good lubrication and friction characteristics. Same range of uses as OPORTET® - K10/1.

OPORTET® - K20/18

For use in very heavy punching processes. Suitable for use in heavy-duty processes and as an additive to increase the pressure absorption characteristics of metalworking oils.

OPORTET® - 95/32

Very thick metalworking oil for punching and drawing processes and for slow heavy duty material removing and cutting of high alloy steel and aluminium. Also suitable for use as a minimum quantity lubricant.

Metal Processing Oils


Minimum Quantity Lubricants


OPORTET® - minimum quantity lubricants are fi nely applied to tools using appropriate micro-dosing systems. Minimal consumption (< 50 ml/h) ensures a clean workplace and thus no waste disposal or degreasing costs. They do not mix with water and hence offer no culture medium for bacteria or fungi. Despite low viscosity and pour point they have low volatility and excellent oxidation stability.If used as a minimum quantity lubricant the usual full lubrication equipment and the costs of maintenance, service, monitoring, reprocessing and disposal of the cooling lubricant are unnecessary. Spray and distribution losses are negligible so machinery and workplaces remain clean and safety is improved.

OPORTET® - HR18

Biologically easily degradable, minimum quantity lubricant on a fatty alcohol base. OPORTET® - HR18 is suitable for all lighter forms of material removing and forming processes, especially those involving sawing steel, iron, non-ferrous metal and alloys.

OPORTET® - HR16

Biologically easily degradable, minimum quantity lubricant on a fatty alcohol base. Outstandingly well suited for subsequent hardening of aluminium sectioning thanks to its especially favourable evaporation characteristics.

OPORTET® - 5/97

Minimum quantity lubricant on a fatty acid ester base. OPORTET® - 5/97 is biologically easily degradable and consists solely of ingredients approved for use in the foodstuffs industry. High lubricating and pressure absorption characteristics make it ideal for use in heavy-duty processing of iron, steel, non-ferrous metal and alloys.

OPORTET® - K2020

Minimum quantity lubricant on a polymer base. Outstanding lubrication and anti-friction characteristics make this product ideal and very economical in use when processing iron, steel, non-ferrous metal and alloys.

OPORTET® - K2044

Economical minimum quantity lubricant based on ester oils with outstanding lubricating and anti-friction properties for material removing and non-cutting processing of steel, iron, non-ferrous metal and alloys.

OPORTET® - K2036 (MF)

High-performance lubricant on an ester oil, mineral oil and extreme pressure additive base. OPORTET® - K2036 is a minimum quantity lubricant ideal for heavy-duty processing of iron, steel, castings and non-ferrous metal. Also available as OPORTET® - K2036MF with even better smoke characteristics.

Operating and Auxiliary Media


OPORTET® - anti foaming agent

Watery anti foaming emulsion on a polydimethylsiloxane base. Effectively cuts foaming of cooling lubricant emulsions in machinery using high pressure and/or turbulence.

OPORTET® - anti foaming agent 155

Highly effective anti foaming agent that cuts foaming in cooling lubricant emulsions. Very small amounts have the desired effect.

OPORTET® - system cleaner Combination of emulsifi ers and preservatives. Effectively cuts bacteria and fungi in machine tools, piping and coolant tanks. OPORTET® - system cleaner is added in concentrations of from 0.5 to 2% to emulsion that has become unusable and disposed of after 8 to 24 hours together with that emulsion.

OPORTET® - metal cleaner MR 60

Nearly odourless metal cleaner on an isoparaffi n base with a fl ash point of 58 °C (AIII). Can be used for all degreasing and cleaning purposes. Especially suitable where physiologically unsafe solvents or those with a low fl ash point cannot be employed. Can be used in washing, immersion and fl ooding processes.

OPORTET® - C105 Universal metalworking product with little odour on a hydrocarbon base with a fl ash point > 100 °C. Can be used in punching and as a light duty minimum quantity lubricant as well as as a separating agent in chip presses. Useful as an EDM oil too.

OPORTET® - bed track oil, hydraulic oil, gear oil

Available in various viscosities and container sizes.
