IntroductionLiverpool Organic Brewery Limited wasestablished in September 2008. Ourobjective was a simple one; we wanted toproduce great tasting beers using the best ingredients. This philosophygave birth to our maxim "Quality over Compromise"After a year of intensive research anddevelopment, we started trading inSeptember 2009. Since then a substantiallocal customer base has beenestablished. During 2011 and 2012 ourgrowth has continued and we nowregularly supply customers in London,Brighton, Leeds, York & Manchester toname just a few.Our growth and success is based on ourpassion to brew great beer. Over theyears our product range has continued toexpand thanks to our dedicated brewteam and some excellent brew recipes.We’re very proud of our cask and bottle range and we hope to be brewingmany more! Our full product range islisted overleaf.Within our product range are the‘Liverpool Heroes’. The Heroes ofLiverpool Ales are inspired by historicalfigures from Liverpool. We wanted toproduce a range of beers that celebratesLiverpool’s important and historic past.The range began with William Roscoe, a best bitter, and now includes Josephine Butler “Elderflower Ale”, JosephWilliamson “Tunnale”, Kitty Wilkinson, aChocolate and Vanilla Stout and EmpireAle to honour Captain Noel Chavasse.

Capt. Noel G Chavasse VC & BAR 1884-1917The battlefield of Mametz was tosee acts of heroism by CaptainChavasse, the only man to beawarded the Victoria Cross twiceduring the First World War. In 1916, Chavasse was hit by shellsplinters while rescuing men in no-man's land. He got as close as 25 yards from the German line,where he found three men andcontinued throughout the nightunder a constant rain of sniperbullets and bombing. He performed similar heroics in theoffensive at Passchendaele to gain asecond VC and become the mosthighly decorated British servicemanin the war. He died of his woundson the 4th of August 1917.

Aroma: Restrained yet fragrant nose with herby, honey and yeast notes

Taste: A subtle and not cloyingly sweet honey aftertaste married to a solid malt backbone and a good hoppy character

for hundreds of navvies,

bricklayers, joiners and

labourers, and provided

them with ale and porter.

He said “they worked all

Aroma: Roasted malty nose with chocolate, vanilla and black coffee

Taste: Vanilla, butterscotch and chocolate combine in the roasted malty taste with a fairly dry finish and a generous cocoa bitterness

The tours are an opportunity tolearn about the brewing processfrom start to finish, a chance to ask the team questions, discussmalts and hop varieties andexperience a taste of the workingday at the brewery.It’s a great day out with friend’s aswell as for Christmas and staffparties. To date, we’ve had a verypositive response from the toursand there’s always a greatatmosphere. The unlimited cask ale seems to be a big hit too!

BEER FESTIVALSThroughout the course of the year we runseveral beer festivals. Waterloo BeerFestival takes place twice a year at OldChrist Church in Waterloo, Liverpool andwe’re now in our 4th year. The festivalcontinues to grow, showcasing animpressive selection of real ales, realciders, lagers and continental beers. We also have live music at every session aswell as locally sourced food retailers suchas Peninsular Pies and The LiverpoolCheese Company.

2013 is also the first year of some othervery exciting new beer festivals we arehosting such as the Liverpool St. GeorgesHall Beer Festival taking place inSeptember as well as a Christmas BeerFestival at the Black - E in December.

Aside from hosting festivals we also supplymany other beer festivals from all over the UK. If you are contemplating runninga beer festival however large or small, wecan assist you with:
