2. Firstly connect the earth wire of the KCE-400BTthen you can connect the ACC/BATT cables.

3. Now you can connect the KCE-400BT to the headunit with the supplied 13 pin system cable.

1. Completely disconnect the head unit from the 12vpower (ACC and BATT).

4. Now connect the Pink/Black mute cable of the 400BTwith the Pink/Black mute cable of the head unit..

NOTE: As soon as the KCE-400BT is connected to BATT it is active and will be visable to other bluetooth devices, this needs to be avoided because the setup is not yet complete, it is better to make sure that there are no active bluetooth devices within range of the KCE-400BT.

NOTE: The ACC cable of the KCE-400BTshould ONLY be connect to the sameACC supply as the head unit!!!!!!!!!!

To be 100% sure of this it is recommended to connect the ACC cable of the KCE-400BT to the very same cable as the head unit....

5. Make sure there are no active bluetooth devices nearby (see note below) before you connect to 12volts..

1. Turn the unit ON by pressing the “SOURCE” button.Press and hold the “SETUP“ button (+2 seconds)

2. In the “SETUP” you need to select the option“SYSTEM SETUP”

3. The setting for “IN Int.Mute” needs to be “OFF”.

NOTE: If the unit is frozen and the above steps are notpossible you will have to disconnect the Pink/Black mute cable, to change the settings.

But DO NOT forget to reconnect the mute cable!!

4. Now in the “SYSTEM SETUP” select the option“BLUETOOTH IN” and change it to “ADAPTER”.

6. Now you need to carry out a ”RESET” by pressing the reset switch, wait a couple of seconds andthen turn the unit back ON.

5. Once the “BLUETOOTH IN” has been set to“ADAPTER” you can exit the menu bypressing the “RETURN” button which can befound in on the left near the volume knob.

7. Press and hold the “SETUP” button again to getinto the setup menu, then select the option

“SOURCE SETUP”, now select the option“BLUETOOTH SETUP” by touching the >>soft-key.

NOTE: If the “BLUETOOTH SETUP” option isnot listed carry out steps 1 to 7 again!!

8. Now select the option “DEVICE SEARCH“ by touching the soft-key >> .

NOTE: Before carrying this step out reactivate the BTof the phone you want to connect, and checkin the phone menu that it is in visible mode!!

9. The display will now show the pop up message“NOW SEARCHING”.

10. When “Searching“ is complete the phone youwant to connect should be shown in the “CONNECT DEVICE“ list. Select your phoneby touching on the name itself..

12. Once step 11 is completed, a key pad will appearin the display of your phone allowing you to enterthe connection code which again is: “0000“.

11. Now a key pad will appear in the display to allow you to enter a connection code the factory set code is “0000“ enter this codeand then touch the “ENT“ soft-key..

16. When you press the “TELEPHONE“ buttonyou will go directly into the telephone menu..

13. If the codes have been correctly enter this message “NOW CONNECTING” will appearin the display of the iXA-W404R..

14. Then the message will change to “CONNECTED”. Showing the name of thephone you selected in step 10..

15. If you want to check if your phone is pairedwith the 400BT simply select “SETUP““SOURCE SETUP”, “BLUETOOTH“ then“PAIRED DEVICES” the name of the phonethat is paired with the 400BT will be highlightedin blue...

NOTE:

If you experience any difficulties with connecting /pairing when the searching and connection has been carried out via the W502R/W505R, it is also possible to carry out the connecting/pairing by searching via the phone BT menu, but before trying this it is recommend to completely re-start from step 1 of this product information, it is also recommended to re-set the phone, this information can be found in the users manual for you phone.....

17. Some of the option in the “TELEPHONE MENU“may not be available when you select themplease check the compatibility list.
