From humble beginnings on a field in 1998, The Creative Stone Company has evolved into a

company of substance and stature in the simulated stone industry. With the development of the

Inca Cladding ranges in 2009 and subsequent flagstone & cobble ranges since, The Creative Stone

Company has grown to comprise of 15 acres of property under development including indoor &

outdoor showroom areas, four factories, with a fifth factory and entrepreneurial park in progress.

With the addition of new products to our extensive existing ranges, The Creative Stone Company

has become a valued contributor in the simulated stone industry.

We continue to win awards and add to our prestigious products both in texture and colour and

strive to be a leader in our industry. We strive to be a leader in eco – conscious sustainability. We

TECHNICAL INFORMATIONThe Creative Stone Company prides itself on a long legacy of producing high quality, highly engineered simulated stone, paving, tiling, cobbles and cladding. Attention to detail is evident throughout, from corner stones on all the Inca Cladding ranges to a variety of coping details and accessories that complement every range of paving products. Every house / building / commercial project is a unique compilation of our design synergy and our application of products, in both texture and colour. We pride ourselves in our passion for consulting and our passion for product development, hence our slogan “Creating Beautiful Spaces”.

The owners of The Creative Stone Company have travelled extensively throughout Africa and internationally to study traditional stone masonry as well as global trends and influences throughout the world. They bring to South Africa their passion for product development, dedication and their absolute commitment to detail and an unfolding palette of product textures and colours to complement a multitude of applications.

Quality AssuranceWe pride ourselves on quality and consistency. We utilize only the best quality sand, cement and imported oxides. All our products are made with embodied colour throughout. There is no surface pigmentation on any of our products. Our moulds are complex and our masters exceptionally precise. Our Research and Development Department has state of the art engineering equipment and C & C machinery.

Product colour variationThe colours depicted in our brochure are as accurate as modern photographic and printing processes allow. We therefore recommend that colours are judged from actual samples. Creative Stone products are designed to simulate stone and naturally reconstructed aggregates are utilised, therefore minor variations between and within batches do occur and give a more natural effect to reflect the nuances of natural stone.

Dimensions/SizesWhile every attempt has been made to provide accurate dimensions as guidelines, there may be a slight variation in thickness, which can be accommodated by mortar base. All sizes, dimensions, weights shown herein are subject to manufacturing tolerances.

QuantitiesCreative Stone does provide clients with one complimentary design consultation, including AutoCAD drawings where necessary. However such drawings and accompanying quantities are to be regarded as guidelines only, as site conditions vary, as do installer’s use of off-cut allowance. Creative Stone can therefore not be held responsible should more stones be required due to changes on site or varying applications of off-cut allowances. The client will therefore be charged independently for additional stones required, over and above estimated requirements.

Storage and HandlingAll products should be handled carefully to avoid damaging the edges or surface texture of the product. All products should be stored undercover and on their vertical edge (not horizontally). They should also be raised off the ground by pieces of timber to prevent moisture travelling upwards.

InstallationAs a manufacturing company, Creative Stone cannot be held responsible for installation processes and procedures. Conditions on sites vary enormously as do installation contractors. For the best results we do however recommend that a professional installation company is utilized and we provide, at both our Honeydew and Fourways showrooms, a list of recommended installers who all have extensive experience with our products. SealingCreative Stone strongly recommends that a sealant is applied to all entertainment and high traffic areas as well as driveway areas where lighter colours are utilized. This reduces the potential for staining as this product is a porous product and spillage may result in unsightly marks. We recommend the application of Durachem sealant, for a natural, but protective finish. We advise the sealing of cladding particularly braai and fireplace areas or on water features with constant water flow over stone. Salt Water Chlorinated PoolsWe advocate heavy sealing of coping stones in addition to sealing of the pool surround to minimize the aggressive eroding of salt chlorination. Particularly in this environment stones should be re-sealed every 6 months to a year and the ph. levels carefully monitored.

Maintenance / CleaningRegular maintenance is required to keep the overall appearance of the product in pristine condition. We recommend thoroughly wetting the paved area with lukewarm soapy water (dilute sunlight liquid solution) then brushing off with a soft bristle broom. We do not recommend high pressure washers and chemical cleaners for example, Mortar Lift, Conclean or acid wash in any form. Creative Stone takes no responsibility for any damage caused by their application.

WeatheringReconstructed stone products weather in a similar way to natural stone, therefore the effect of the elements and the site conditions may cause some colour change depending on the degree of exposure.

EfflorescenceCreative Stone cannot be held responsible for this naturally occurring phenomenon, which is characteristic of quality concrete products containing a high cement content. Concrete products may exhibit an apparent dullness of colour and efflorescence may emit in the form of a chalky residue or stain on the face of the product after installation. The effect generally disperses with the combination of the natural weathering process and the passage of time and is in no way detrimental to the performance of the material. QuotationsAll quotations are for the supply of stone products only and exclude

installation and sealing of a product. Quotations are valid for 30 days from date of quotation.

Lead TimeAs orders are placed our stock levels and lead times arecontinually changing. We would advise contacting our orders department to obtain a more acurate lead time. Product needs to be cured before it can be installed.

DeliveriesOnce an accepted quotation has been received, our orders department will contact you with regards to a delivery date. Where the total sqm is less than 40 sqm the delivery will be done in one load and full payment will be required before delivery. Where the total sqm is greater than 40 sqm the delivery will be done in more than one load. In which case we will deliver the product up to the value of the deposit received and we would require the balance of payment no later than 3 working days prior to further deliveries. This is essential due to delivery scheduling. Please be aware that goods will be offloaded next to the delivery vehicle.

ReturnsDue to the nature of site conditions, under no circumstance may goods be returned.
