MATERIAL TEST: This is the first level activity. When user clicks on this option, ‘Select your Subject’
panel gets displayed. It contains different topics like Ilakkanam, Ilakkanam, Geography, History,
General Knowledge, Constitution, Science, Current Affairs and Maths.
When user clicks on a subject, the SET SELECTION PANEL gets displayed with all available set
numbers.
Set 1 represents Questions 1 to 50 of the printed material of the subject selected. Set 2 represents
Questions 51 to 100 of the subject material and Set 20 represents Questions 951 to 1000 of the
subject material and so on.
For example, when user selects Set 5 of Ilakkanam subject, Questions 201 to 250 of the printed
material of Ilakkanam subject will be displayed one by one.
The moment user selects the Set, the TEST/EXAM PANEL is displayed and simultaneously a TIMER
gets triggered. The timer counts the time in SECONDS till completion of 50 questions.
Questions will be displayed one by one along with four options. User has to select one among them
as his/her answer and as a confirmation, has to click on SURE button. The answer will be evaluated
and if found to be correct, the message RIGHT will be displayed.
On the other hand, if found to be incorrect, the message WRONG will be displayed. In addition, the
correct answer will be highlighted with a different colour whether the attempt is RIGHT or WRONG.
The SCORE gets changed depending upon the result of evaluation. User has to click on the NEXT
button to proceed to the next question until the completion of all the 50 questions.
If user clicks the NEXT button with/without selecting an option, it is considered that the user wants
to skip the question and will not be made available again for answering.
At any point in time, user can terminate or abort the test/exam by clicking any other option or BACK
button of the browser.
If the user again opts for the same topic and set, for sure, the same 50 questions will be displayed
one by one but in different order. Also, the choices will be displayed in different order.
Upon completion of all the questions, a SCORE SHEET is displayed which contains the following
information:
The set numbers are displayed in RED boxes initially, which indicates that the user has NOT CLEARED
such set/s.
If the user attempts a test set and secures a minimum of 46 out of 50, then the colour of the set
number box gets changed into BLUE.
User is allowed to attempt any set for any number of times. He/She can even attempt for a CLEARED
set.
The user is expected to clear all the sets under Material Test of every subject before proceeding for
Module Exam.
In order to honour those who come out with exceptional marks under every set test, the system of
Credit points is introduced. It gives weightage to marks scored and the total time taken to complete
the test. The following table depicts the CREDITS CHART pertaining to Material Test
Also it is to be noted that the credit points are awarded for the first time clearance of the set.
Case 1:
The user performs the test of Set 1 for the first time and secures 42. This indicates that he/she has
not cleared the set. Now the user again performs the test of Set 1 for the second time and gets a
score of 47 within the time frame of 350 seconds. This means that he has cleared Set 1 for the first
time and the eligible credit points are 20. Suppose if he/she performs the test of Set 1 for the third
time and gets 49 within a time frame of 420 seconds, he/she is not eligible for any credit points.
Case 2:
The user performs the test of Set 1 for the first time and scores 48 with 480 seconds. In this case,
he/she is not eligible for any points as he/she has not completed the set within the stipulated time
period. If the user again performs the test of Set 1 and scores 50 with 235 seconds, he/she will not
be eligible for any credit points as this is an attempt on an already cleared set.
MODULE EXAM
This is the second level activity. After clearing all the test sets under Material Test, user is expected
to avail this option. However, there is no restriction.
When user clicks on this option, Select your Subject panel gets displayed. This is similar to the one
that appears in the case of Material Test.
User has to select the desired subject. Upon subject selection, Set Selection panel is displayed as
follows:
Every Module Exam set contains 200 questions. But these questions are randomly picked out of all
the questions of the subject selected.
Example: Suppose subject-Ilakkanam has 2800 questions. This will be split into 14 module exam sets.
All the questions will be from the print out material given for the subject. But Module Exam -01 may
contain Question 1976, Question 1128, and Question12 and so on. So the user is expected to master
all the questions of the subject before attending to MODULE EXAMS.
User has to attend all the 200 questions one by one and finally a Score Sheet is displayed as follows:
In case of Module Exam, the passing minimum is set at 186 out of 200.
In order to appreciate the efforts, the following Credit Points system is attached with Module Exam.

displayed one by one.
