KONDININ CHRISTMAS STREET PARTY AND CAROLS 2016

Thank you to all the stall holders and local businesses who opened on Fri-

day evening for the Christmas Street Market and to everyone who come

along at this busy time of year. It was great to see the wide variety of

wares for sale and food to buy. Thank you to those that braved the cold

wind and stayed around for the carols played beautifully by John Read,

Shaun Franich and Jaymie and Peter Turner. A shout out to Santa for

coming back to Kondinin for photos. If you have not already collected

your photos please drop in to see Toni at the CRC.

HYDEN TENNIS CLUB LIGHTS OPENING

The Hyden Tennis Court lights were officially opened on Sunday the 18th

December 2016 by Hon. Mia Davies, MLA.

This project was made possible through funding from the Department of

Sport and Recreation CSRFF grant, together with contributions from the

Hyden Tennis Club, Tennis Australia and the Shire of Kondinin.

The Shire would particularly like to acknowledge the Hyden Tennis Club

for the way they have worked with the Shire and efficiently delivered this

project well within time and in budget. In particular a shout out to Hyden

Tennis Club President, Jeremy James for all his work in coordinating the

project and to Catherine Mayfield for undertaking a lot of the behind the

scenes administrative work. You have all been a pleasure to work with.

STANDPIPE NOTICE

As previously advised the above 2 standpipes have been closed and locked due to a burst main in

Karlgarin. They will remain locked until the Karlgarin tank is full which may be Wednesday or

Thursday morning. In an fire emergency the Water Corp. have advised DFES that they may access

the water by cutting off the locks. Water for stock and fire fighting is available from the new

standpipe at Karlgarin dam.

Christmas Closure

Please note that we will be closed for the Christmas Period from Friday 23rd

December at 4.00pm and will re-open on Tuesday 3rd January 2017 at 9.00am.
