It is with great pride and full confidence in the talent, ability and highstandards of the Schenectady Light Opera Company that Proctor'spresents "Oliver!" as part of our Broadway series. This fantasticundertaking unites Proctor's with SLOG for the first time in acollaborative effort that we hope establishes a precedent for seasons tocome.
Last year, the Gazette lauded SLOG saying that the only differencebetween this local group and any good road troupe is that SLOG'sperformers "do it for love." We are totally in agreement. "Doing it forlove" lets us offer the calibre of entertainment that our audiences areaccustomed to at a price that the entire family can afford.
We commend SLOG on their dedication and commitment toexcellence in community theatre and look forward to a long relationshipwith this fine group of performers, directors and technicians.
Sincerely,
DDOCTQDSDennis F. Madden
