Engineering, construction and moderization of the fuel terminals

Process plants

KB Pomorze Ltd offers construction and modernization of fuel terminals on a turn-key basis, including a complete investment process – from the design, through supervision in all branches to the commissioning and start-up.

We deliver complex process plants and production facilities, including steel structures, piping, tanks and process equipment, such as heat exchangers, stacks, heaters, boilers, columns and reactors, compressors, pumps and others, together with their auxiliary and internal outfit.

Tanks PipingStorage and handling tanks for petrochemical and chemical industry are one of our fields of expertise. Our highly qualified staff, proper equipment and wide experience make us the best choice even for the most complex and demanding engineering constructions as well as modernization and renovation projects. High quality and technical standard of work performed by us are periodically reviewed by the Office of Technical Inspection.

We also offer temporary tanks – solution for storage of liquids necessary for the wells fracturing in the shale gas mining. Tanks of capacity up to 12 000 m3, for storing of technology water, are adapted to multiple installations in different locations. Other applications available providing individual engineering approach.

KB Pomorze Ltd offers complete construction of piping systems and transfer pipelines which is one of our fields of expertise. Thanks to our vastly experienced staff and advanced production equipment we are prepared to provide the full scope of fabrication and erection piping works within the whole range of materials and diameters in accordance with PED and ASME standards under the supervision of Notified Body or Classification Society. As in case of tanks, high quality and technical standard of work performed by us are periodically reviewed by the Office of Technical Inspection.

Steel structures OffshoreSteel structures take part in almost every project in this industry, and therefore these are naturally included in our scope of offered services.

We provide construction, fabrication and installation services for the offshore production as well as drilling rigs, facilities and structures. We preferably deliver completely outfitted and tested modules or sections of equipment. We also provide hot tapping, heavy lifting and special repairs or modifications for existing offshore systems. In every case our main aim is to minimize the time necessary to complete the task onboard providing the best quality, safety and reliability.

Hot taPPing roSomaK

KB Pomorze Ltd constantly develops and implements new technical solutions to improve and widen the scope of our service.

‘Rosomak’ – technology allowing to perform hot tapping into pressurized piping system often filled with flammable or toxic medium, without shutdowns. Technology utilizing drilling system has been developed and built by our engineers with special emphasis put on its safety. The system is flexible and proved with ‘tie-in’ up to 20 inch, still handy enough to operate in tight and remote areas.

ProteCtion From FaLLing For tHoSe WorKing on tanKerS

On a turn-key basis projects, KB Pomorze offers developed by its own designers system zB protection from falling for those working on rail or road tankers. The system meets requirements of the Minister of Labour and Social Policy of 26th September 1997 on general regulations and safety at work and requirements set out in EN 795.

Extractor is designed in the way that ensures efficient and safe servicing of heat exchangers.

Extractor

Modular sets of hydraulic remotely controlled supports allow in-place lifting of heavy steel constructions and equipment during erection, replacement or repairs for the required height. Technology allows to start the erection of storage tanks in opposite sequence – from the roof to the bottom, what improves safety during the building process.

Our experience and special equipment can also be used for:

• enlarging capacity of existing tanks,

• construction of the shell around existing tanks,

• modernization and repair of the tank bottom,

• renovation of the foundation below the existing tanks,

• modernization and repair of process plants or equipment.

Inspection and NdT examination Post welding heat treatment

• visual testing (VT),

• penetrant testing (PT),

• magnetic testing (MT),

• ultrasonic testing (UT),

• leakproof tests (LT) of the joints welded using vacuum bubble method,

• measurement of delta ferrite content in the weld deposit of the joints welded using magnetic method with ferritoscope Fischer MP-30 (results in % or in FN value),

• measurement of steel material hardness with a dynamic method – with hardness testing machine Proceq EQUOTIP-2 (results in Vickers, Brinell or Rockwell scale),

• pressure tests with registration of pressure and temperature parameters using accurate measuring instruments.

Our QA/QC staff have authorization and competence certificates of UDT-CERT according to the standard PN-EN 473.

KB Pomorze Ltd offers complete heat treatment services using own:

• 12 channel, 70kVA Stork Copperheat units controlled with Advantage 3000 control processor (2008 production).

• 3 channel, 10kVA LMS mobile device equipped with invertor power supply – heat treatment can be performed on joints with difficult access.

Within the control of welding work, we conduct measurements and tests using professional measuring equipment:

We perform a wide spectrum of heat treatment for pipe and plate welding joints, such as but not limited to:

• stress relieving,

• welded joints of pipelines of petrochemical installations acc. to NACE, resistance requirements for Hydrogen Induced Cracking,

• preheating and heating before welding.

The staff performing heat treatment underwent professional training and has qualifications confirmed by the Welding Institute in Gliwice and the Office of Technical Inspection.
