1. Heavy Duty Casings—increases life undercorrosive and erosive conditions. All sizesare self venting with CL discharge. Drainplug offered as option.
2. Heavy Duty Shaft—Minimum deflectionincreases life for less maintenance.
3. Renewable Shaft Sleeve—Hook-type sleeveeases maintenance (easily removed) and isrelieved to allow for changes in temperature.
4. Power Frame—Heavy duty Power Frame issealed against contaminants to ensure longbearing life. Water-cooled for high temperatureapplications.
5. Oil Lubrication—Oil lubrication is standard.The power frame is vented. Oil may also becooled for high temperature application.
6. Heavy Duty Thrust Bearing—Double rowthrust bearing minimizes shaft end play formore effective stuffing box sealing, longermechanical seal life and withstands greateraxial and radial thrust loads.
Design Features:7. External Impeller Adjustment—Like new
clearance can be maintained through simpleexternal adjustment in just minutes to maintainoriginal high efficiencies.
8. Rabbeted Fits—Accurately machined rabbetsensure positive alignment, longer seal life, easyreplacement of spare rotating when maintenanceis required.
9. Contained Casing Gasket—Protects againstblow out.
10. Positive Sealing at Impeller—Teflon O-Ringprotects shaft from liquid being pumped.
11. Semi Open Impeller—is designed with backpump-out vane to minimize axial thrust. Designedto handle solids and stringy material.*

Ruthman...Another Word for Innovation
It began in 1913, servicingmechanical components of thesteamboats on the Ohio River.The company founder, AloisRuthman, was a man of visionand saw part of the future of thecompany was in the developmentof a reliable industrial pump.
In 1924, with the conception ofthe first vertical ball bearing sealless centrifugal pump, RuthmanPump and Engineering furthered the design on a unit with a onepiece motor driven shaft. The pump was called “Gusher”, givingbirth to the trade name Gusher Pumps, and the coining of theterm “coolant pump”.
Wanting to carry on the tradition of quality and reliability startedby his father, Thomas R. Ruthman joined the company in 1949. Inthe early 1990’s Thomas R. Ruthman’s son, Thomas G. Ruthmanjoined the company, continuing this same tradition. Maintaining thereputation of Gusher Pumps by innovation and customer service,the company has grown to service companies worldwide.
