As per order read 1st above, 56 Commercial Tax Inspectors have beenpromoted to the cadre of Commercial Tax Officers. 14 vacancies are live due tothe retirement and Suspension in the cadre of Commercial Tax Inspectors. Now70 Vacancies are existing in this Department in the cadre of Commercial TaxInspectors. Out of which 3 vacancies are reserved for reinstatement andrejoining. The remaining 67 vacancies are to be filled up from the feedercategories and that the appointment will be provisional. Those vacancies haveto be filled up by promoting (By Transfer) from among the senior most eligibleHead Clerks / Senior Clerks, Stenographers and UD Typists in the ratio of30: 1:1 as per the existing special rules of this department.

Government issued G.O.(Rt)No.839/2016/TAXES dated 27.10.2016wherein it is directed that all the qualified UD Typists and ConfidentialAssistants to the category of ACTO by transfer in the proportionate quotareserved for them and that the proportion shall not be as against existing orarising vacancies. As such all the officials mentioned in the G.O. wereconsidered for promotion in the previous order No.A2/222/16/CT dated27.04.2017 except those who submitted relinquishment of promotion/Bytransfer appointment to the cadre of Assistant Commercial TaxOfficers/Intelligence Inspectors/Commercial Tax Inspectors. Smt. Mini.S, CASenior Grade, IAC(I) Ernakulam, who is eligible for By transfer appointment tothe Cadre of Commercial Tax Inspesctorsubmiited application for withdrawal ofher relinquishment vide reference 5th above. Hence the individual has to beconsidered for promotion/By transfer to the cadre of ACTO/CTI/lnt.Inspectors.

Since no other eligible Typists and confidential Assistants are availablefor by transfer appointment to the cadre of ACTOs as on this date exceptSri.AnilKumar P, CA Senior Grade,O/ 0 the Commissioner,SGSTD Kerala whohas already been availed the right of relinquishment from the post of ACTO, the

remaining 66 vacancies are to be filled up from the senior most eligible HeadClerks and Senior clerks.
