1 – Complete the Application for

Teaching Certification ISBE Form 73-03c

Complete all of the personal information at the top of the form

Answer the yes/no questions and sign and date the this section

Complete the Colleges and Universities section:

Aurora University; State: Illinois

Date: Completion of student teaching

Check initial Elementary K-9 (MATC) or

Secondary 6-12 (PBTC)

Sign and Date the form (the signature of applicant line)

Once received, the Illinois

certification officer will:

Sign off on the forms, check off

the middle school and secondary

endorsements, and enter your

information into the Illinois Online

Certification system.

Send you the endorsed application

forms and official transcripts.

NOTE: When you receive the official

transcripts – Do Not Open Them

Once you receive the endorsed application and transcripts:

1. Follow the on-line directions

(http://www.isbe.net/ECS/default.htm) to

start the process to receive your teaching

certificate by mail.

2. Take the endorsed application and the sealed

transcripts to the Regional office of Education

(ROE) where you intend to look for a position.

– You will file in one (1) ROE. If you are offered and

accept a position with a different ROE, you will file

for a transfer of certificate. You do not need to wait

until you get the actual certificate in the mail you go

to the new ROE.
