The TESASTAR probing system line represents the latest evolution in probing technology for coordinate measuring. It is a broad array of standard equipment precisely designed and built to achieve fast and accurate measurement.

TESASTAR Probe HeadArticulated probe head which can be manually rotated to an infinite number of non repeatable angular positions. The built-in compact touch-trigger probe features a user adjustable trigger force. It is the ideal tool for small CMMs.Part No.TESASTAR (D5P - Ø 9.5 mm) 03939020

TESASTAR-i Probe HeadTESASTAR-i features repeatable indexing coupled with a high precision integrated touch trigger probe. The indexing capability in 15° incre-ments in both axes allows the stylus to swivel through 168 positions without the need for recalibration. TESASTAR-i M8 Probe HeadThe TESASTAR-i M8 probe head has the same capabilities as the TESASTAR-i standard model except that the probe is not built in. It uses a M8 threaded connection which allows to mount touch trigger probes/extensions with M8 thread. TESASTAR-m TKJ Probe HeadThe TESASTAR-m is a motorized indexing probe head featuring high speed rotation and high torque. This probe head features a TESASTAR Kinematic Joint (TKJ) which is a multiwire con-nection allowing the support of multiple types of sensors. Compact 5-ways touch-trigger probe available in four trigger force variants. The probe shafts are made of steel and tungsten-carbide, fitted with an M8 threaded connection. TESASTAR-mp Probe

TESASTAR-mp consists of two parts: the sensor body and the stylus holding module. The sensor body can be fitted to any probe head featuring a M8 connection. The stylus holding modules can be quickly changed in manual or automatic mode without the need for requalification through a highly accurate and repeatable magnetic isostatic clamping system. This is a passive autochange rack for styli holding modules. It is available in 2, 4 or 6 port configurations. It allows the automatic change of TESASTAR-mp modules without the need for requalification after each change. It is available in two different heights. LSP-X1s, LSP-X1m Probe Heads

LSP-X1 is a high accuracy 3D scanning probe head that can rapidly and automatically collect thousands of data points for the complete and precise evaluation of all part features, including form, location and size. This sensor uses the same technology as the other probe heads of the LSP series (X3-X5). It supports both Single Point Probing and Continuous Scanning. Also available is the Self-Centering mode, which is particularly useful for measuring gears. LSP-X1 is available in two different versions: LSP-X1s and LSP-X1m, each characterized by different styli length. The TESASTAR Kinematic Joint allows changing the probe head on the TESASTAR-r automatic probe changer. LSP-X5 Probe HeadLSP-X5 is a fixed probe head for analogue probing. This heavy-duty analog probe head features an effec-tive anti-collision system and can accept probe extensions up to 500 mm in length. LSP-X5 has a Leitz dovetail connection allowing fast and easy change of the probe head when performing maintenance work. It is capable to perform Single Point Probing and realizes continuous High-Speed-Scanning for profile and shape error inspection of complex geometric parts (e.g. cylinder gears, worm gears, tur-bine blades, worm screws etc.). The probe trigger position is measured by high resolution linear variable differential transducers (LVDT) allowing the correct compensation for the stylus deflection even when long extensions are fitted, and to automatically measure in a direction orthogonal to the part for more accurate measuring results. As an option, a workpiece temperature sensor (WTS) may be built into the probe head. WORKPIECE TEMPERATURE SENSOR FOR LSP-S2, LSP-S4, LSP-X5

Capturing the workpiece temperature to achieve accurate measurement results is possible using an exchangeable temperature sensor from Hexagon Metrology. Available for probe head models LSP-S2, LSP-S4 and LSP-X5 (version 3), the exchangeable temperature sensor allows automatic temperature measurement on the surface of the workpiece. Using the temperature sensor is very easy. The sensor is stored in the tool rack just like any other stylus configuration and can be loaded automatically within a part program. An integrated electrical interface connects the sensor with the probe head and the electronics of the CMM. Thanks to its modularity the temperature sensor can be configured according to the requirements of the workpiece.

CMM-Ve cameras are designed to be a general purpose image analysis tool for enhancing the measurement capabilities of a CMM. It provides oblique overhead illumination of the feature being inspected.CMM-Ve cameras are very versatile and have many potential applications for the CMM user. Due to their general-purpose nature CMM-Ve cameras are provided with a fixed magnification and are intended for taking data points in a static condition. The CMM-Ve contains a customisable illumination system, which makes it a self contained measuring system, suitable for a wide range of applications. The CMM-Ve is compatible with the automatic probe changer TESASTAR-r. The CW43L-mw multi-axis continuous wrist allows the fast and accurate orientation of probes in any probing direction in space. The continuous positioning of rotary axes (virtually unlimited angular positions), along with the possibility to handle standard extensions with total length up to 600 mm from the centre of rotation allows full access to the part to be measured. The exclusive adapter changer allows the automatic change of extensions and adapters thus ensuring ideal flexibility.
