Reduced risk of file breakageEndodontic files exhibit signs of wear during normal use. They are also subject to cyclic fatigue, which is the main cause of file breakage during patient treatment. Single patient use therefore reduces the risk of file breakage and thus increases patient safety.

Optimal cutting efficiencyFurther research has shown that using endodontic files in multiple cases actually reduces their cutting efficiency, affecting the satisfaction of both dentist and patient. With PROGLIDER™, there is no reduction in cutting efficiency, as a new instrument is used for each patient.

No risk for cross contaminationNo matter how well an instrument is sterilized, research shows that certain bacteria and tissue remnants may remain on the instrument. Any additional use of these instruments therefore increases the risk of cross-infection to the next patient.

An important step in the endodontic procedure is the creation of a glide path, with the goal of securing the root canal path before the use of a shaping file system.
