Grafton is Launched:Private Label will never bethe same !In a surprise move today,March 18, 1962, Edward Marcushas launched Grafton Products.Relying on his education andbackground in food technology,coupled with his practical sellingexperience of fragrance, Mr. Marcus has seen firsthand the need for a company that can bottle and package the fragrance oils that he sells.

Borrowing the name Grafton froma street sign in Brooklyn, GraftonProducts is officially open forbusiness !

Jumping ahead to the year 1966,Grafton has become a full blown fra-grance filling house and to datehas manufactured and filled over40,000,000 bottles of perfume and colognes. As in the past,Edward Marcus is focused on hisclient’s needs, and in the springof 1981, expands Grafton’scapabilities to include contract filling of cosmetics and skin care.

After working in the companypart-time and summers for manyyears, Steven Marcus, a BostonUniversity graduate, joins the

firm full- time in 1985. At the same time, Grafton Products spins off Grafton Cosmetics.Grafton Cosmetics, adivision suited to the needof clients who need a turn-key private label program,offers clients thousands ofstock products to choose from. Clients can develop their own brand name lines, saving both time and money.
