The Inmate Mural Program was created by
The Florida State Arts in Corrections
Project. David Gussak and Leslie
Neil organized this group.
Inmates created sketches and the grad students
working with the project made a composite for the
mural. The results were painted
on the dorms.

Not all inmates are lucky enough toexperience an art program in their
Facility. An aspiring artist by the name of
David Jones also used art as therapy, but on his own.
He loved to sketch pictures of his loved ones and his self esteem
was greatly elevated when hisfamily told him how they loved to
receive the pictures he drew.
