Principles of Gas Networks
Basic Parameters

Basic Parameter
• Tree : This describes a network in which each pipe is connected to a source via one route only.
• Loop: This describes a condition where two or more paths exist to supply a particular pipe or within a network
Network
• Network Structures: Most networks consist of loops & trees
• No loops, is a relatively simple network, can be solved analytically.
Kirchhoff's Laws
• First Law: ∑Q =0
• Second Law : ∑ ∆P =0 ∑ ∆P2 =0
