I. Unity and VarietyA. Visual unity
The leaves are arranged in color coordinated to that of a rainbow scale. They are each unique and placed together to mimic a giant leaf.
I. Unity and VarietyB. Conceptual Unity
The woman doing yoga is a prime example of conceptual unity. Yoga is a form of meditation and relaxation as the view of the moon and ocean is also a form of relaxation.
II. BalanceB. Symmetrical Balance
The zebra displays perfect symmetry with it’s stripes, the ears, and even the eyes.
II. BalanceB. Asymmetrical Balance
Although the gymnast seems to be in half, both sides are opposites making the image asymmetrical.
III. Emphasis and Subordination
This is a picture depicting emphasis and subordination because the small flower in the hand is centered and the highest quality portion of the picture. Subordination is displayed in the background as the objects are out of focus.
IV. Scale and proportionA. Normal scale and proportion
This 3D chalk drawing of a man is in normal scale and proportion as you can use the man walking nearby as a resource.
IV. Scale and proportionB. Hierarchical scale
This sculpture of an apple is to a hierarchical scale because as you can tell, the building behind it is almost as large as the sculpture.
V. Rhythm
This picture of Muslim women show Rhythm because as they were originally in black and white, there is a pattern set of women in red.
