school’s website. The report includes the school’s self-assessment and reports on the progress we have made

in each of our three strategic directions: Learning, Thriving and Connecting. It includes comprehensive financial

information including expenditure of the RAM funding and the school’s Annual Financial Statement, as well as

reports on special programs and academic results.

Senior Program for Year 10 The Senior Program Information Night (Year 10 into 11) is scheduled for

Thursday 30th May. In addition to the information night a number of activities are planned for Year 10 students

including: visits (taster lessons) to senior classes, table talks with head teachers and parent student interviews in

relation to subject selection and future goals. The aim of this program is to help the students choose the best

educational pathway in senior school and give them a greater understanding of what it means to be a senior

student at The Forest High School.

Education Rising Star Congratulations to Lucy Sturley, Relieving Head Teacher Science (pictured above),

who is a finalist in the Australian Education Awards 2019 in the category of “Education Rising Star of the Year”.

We are extremely proud that Lucy was nominated and that she is a finalist.

We wish her all the best on Awards Night!

School Uniform I would like to thank parents and carers for their response to students wearing correct school

uniform. Although there are still some students who “forget” or have clothing “in the wash” overall there has been

a dramatic improvement in the uniform. There has also been a targeted response at roll call year meetings

where the Deputies, Year Advisers and Head Teachers of the year groups follow up on students out of uniform.

We are often able to provide students with a loan item for them to wear for the day and then return to us the next

day. The overall impression of the school when the vast majority of students adhere to the uniform code is so

positive and removes the element of negativity we encounter in monitoring students. A big thank you to the

students in their response to our requests to be in correct school uniform each day. For families who may need

to purchase uniform items, especially as the colder weather has arrived, and are experiencing financial

difficulties, please contact the school for student assistance forms.

School Assemblies This term we have commenced whole school assemblies each Tuesday Week B instead

of separate junior and senior assemblies. The benefit of having the whole student body together at one time is

not only functional for school announcements but allows us to celebrate the numerous positive achievements for

individual students and student groups. The assemblies are conducted by the SRC, both junior and senior

members. These students do an amazing job in this leadership role and should be congratulated as they step up

whenever needed.

Space Camp At the Week 4 assembly Mr Dodds and Ms Roberts and the 17 students who travelled to the USA

for Space Camp, presented the movie they made about the trip. What a great experience it was for this group

and how positive for them to share it with the rest of the student body who were appreciative. The Space Camp

students will be great role models for students who may want to participate in 2021.

Elevate Study Skills This term there has been a concentration of Elevate Education presentations on study

skills for Years 8, 9, 10 & 11 as well as presentations to the parents and staff about this program. Year 7

participated in Term 1 and Year 12 will participate in a session in Term 3 designed to assist with the lead up to

the HSC examinations. We believe these one hour focused sessions, which are geared for specific year groups

and build on previous skills, can have a positive impact on student outcomes if they are put in to place at school

and at home. Payment for these sessions is via your school fees invoice.

Year 10 Subject Selection Year 10 have been involved in numerous information sessions in preparation for

subject selection since Week 2 this term. On Thursday 30th May students and their parents are invited to attend

the Senior Program Information Night in the Assembly Hall from 7.00pm – 8.30pm. Next Monday 3rd May and

Tuesday 4th May Year 10 students and parents if possible, will meet with senior teachers to discuss subject

selections and student pathways. This is an exciting time for Year 10 as they prepare to become senior students

at The Forest High School.

We have had a great start to Term 2. Year 7 have shown outstanding commitment to The Forest High

School core values; Respect, Responsibility and Personal Best.

The students look fantastic in their school uniforms and have continued to contribute to our positive school

culture.

Athletics Carnival Many students participated enthusiastically at the annual Athletics Carnival on 2nd May at

the Academy of Sport in Narrabeen. The weather was spectacular, adding to the enjoyment of the day, as well

as the number of achievements being particularly high this year. Several students will have been chosen to

represent the school at the Zone Athletics Carnival on 7th June.

Handball Competition Last week Year 7 played Year 8 in the House Handball Competition. Year 8 did come

out on top, 90 points to 60 points. The year 7 MVP must go to Benji Leresche, who won three rounds.

SRC The Year 7 SRC team has been chosen for 2019. Congratulations on the outstanding speeches to the

year group introducing themselves with many excellent reasons for why they would be suitable candidates. The

Year 7 SRC team is as follows: Noah de Groot, Anna Sercombe, James Brown, Vishi Kalra, Megan Bartlett and

Bianca Battista.

Year 7 Literacy Project The Year 7 Literacy Project requires students to develop a writing portfolio. Throughout

the year, students will collect six writing samples. They must complete an evidence checklist for each sample to

demonstrate that they are achieving their writing goals. Students will also have a conference with a teacher in

Terms 3 and 4, to discuss their strengths and weaknesses and to reset their goals. Students have already

written their first sample, a persuasive text, which required students to argue High School is better than Primary

School.

Erin McWhirter, Year 7 Adviser

Athletics Carnival Term 2 began with an excellent display of Year 8s sporting abilities at the Athletics Carnival,

held at Narrabeen Academy of Sport. Year 8 demonstrated excellent house spirit and are to be congratulated on

their participation, which earned valuable points for their houses! We have a number of outstanding Year 8

athletes; those who placed in events will be competing in the Zone Athletics Carnival next month. We wish all

our competitors good luck!

Handball Competition Last Thursday the much anticipated Year 7 versus Year 8 handball competition was

held. Our Year 8s brought their best game and were crowned the champions! Congratulations! A big thank you

to all competitors who played on the day.

Elevate Year 8s have recently participated in the Elevate Study Skills Program, which focuses on time

management and revision methods. This was a valuable session, reinforcing the School values of Respect,

Responsibility and Personal Best. Additionally, students are reminded to actively check Sentral if they are

away and to use their diaries to help manage their homework and assessment tasks.

School Uniform As winter approaches students are reminded to continue to wear the correct school uniform.

This includes black leather shoes with black socks. A quick reminder that black hoodies or black long sleeve

tops are not permitted. As the weather cools down, students should opt for a black Forest High School jacket, or

a green school jumper, with the school skirt or black dress pants (all available from the Uniform Shop). Thank

you in advance for your support with this.

Kate Board, Year 8 Adviser

Year 9 Camp The Year 9 Camp that was held at Morisset early this term was great fun for all who attended.

The camp involved a mixture of activities. Most activities required the students to work in teams such as

canoeing, rock-climbing and the challenge ropes. The Survivor Challenge involved problem-solving and

communication as a team. Many of the activities were personally challenging and exhilarating at the same time

like the giant swing, flying fox and the challenge ropes. All students were able to build their resilience through

attempting these exciting ventures while spending time relaxing and getting to know their year group better. It

was extremely gratifying to receive praise from the camp staff for being the best school group there for several

months so I give my thanks to the students for their excellent conduct during the camp. Many thanks also to Mrs

Gourlay, Mr Rowland, Ms Board and Mr Fraser for giving up their time to attend this fabulous camp with Year 9.

NAPLAN After such an exciting time away at camp the students were ready to take the NAPLAN tests on paper

for the last time. The year group again demonstrated their outstanding conduct throughout the three days of

testing in the hall allowing everyone to do their Personal Best. It was a relief to know that the tests are now out of

the way upon hearing the news that those who took the tests online will need to re-sit them soon.

This week Year 9 have participated in the Elevate study sessions as well as High Resolves and are playing

against Year 10 in the inaugural school handball competition, which has been a very lively tournament to date.

Subject Selection Term 2 has been a very busy term for Year 10. The majority of students are working

diligently and are completing their assessment tasks. Year 10 are also making important decisions about their

final years of school including subject selection. There are numerous activities and programs to help guide

students in making the right choices for a successful Year 11 and Year 12. This includes Year 10 having had an

opportunity to participate in a Year 11 class of their choice to show them first-hand what a senior class is like. In

addition, each faculty has also held an information session to help clarify subject content, expectations and to

address additional questions. Here are some of our Year 10s participating in a hospitality class and one of their

wonderful creations.

Senior Program Information Night Parents are also an integral part in this selection process for their child.

Parents will have the opportunity to attend the Senior Program Information Night on Thursday 30th May. This will

include an overview of senior life at The Forest High School and provide parents and students opportunities to

discuss subjects with relevant course teachers and Head Teachers. This will then be followed up with Student

and Parent Guidance Interviews, where students, parents and caregivers discuss and complete online selection

of courses. I also just want to add that all Year 10 should have a 2020 Year 11 Handbook. If not, please come

and see me.

On the whole, I thank both students and parents for their hard work and if they experience any difficulties in any

aspect of their schooling life please get in contact with me. I am always happy to talk and support you.

Dylan Fisher, Year 10 Adviser

We are quickly approaching the half-way point of Year 11! How time flies…

Jerseys The jerseys have arrived! And they look great! Year 12 is definitely jealous… Even better, the students

voted for a design that is made up of dark colours, so it won’t appear dirty even after you’ve worn it in!

Reports The Year 11 reports are being finalised as we speak, so you should receive these in the mail in the

next couple of weeks. I have read through these reports and am so proud of the effort and the fantastic results

that lots of students have achieved – so well done! Some of the reports are so wonderful that I think they

deserve a congratulations from the school (which some students may also receive in the mail very soon).

Senior Privileges Another reminder that students can arrive at a later time to school (if they have P1 or P1 &

P2 off etc.) and leave at an earlier time (if they have P5 off etc.). However, they are still not permitted to leave

the school grounds in between classes – this is a privilege they can work towards for next year.

Let’s go Year 11 – time to show us what you are made of.

Hilary Page, Year 11 Adviser

Well done Year 12! The mid-year reports have just been read and they tell me that many of you are working

hard to achieve a result to be proud of. Continued effort to summarise your learning and submitting draft work to

teachers for feedback prior to handing in assessment tasks will benefit your results in the future.

Handball Competition In the last fortnight Ms Nixon organised the Year 12 verses Teachers Handball

Competition. It was great to watch the friendly competition at lunchtime and I congratulate the Year 12s for

actually winning the competition! What was more pleasing was seeing a number of Year 12 students who then

assisted Ms Nixon with encouraging the Year 7 and Year 8 players in their games last week at lunchtime.

School Uniform A reminder please - all students are expected to be wearing their full school uniform correctly.

A correct senior school jersey, school jumper or school jacket along with black dress pants and closed-in leather

footwear should be worn as the outer layer of clothing. A white long sleeved t-shirt may be worn under the

school shirt if the weather is cool. Boys should still be wearing the tie. Exercise leggings, tracksuits, hoodies

and random coloured jumpers are not part of our school uniform and should not be worn to school.

Dates for the future:

Year 12 Trial Examinations: 5th August to 16th August 2019 (Term 3, Weeks 3 and 4)

Year 12 Graduation: for students and their families will be held at school in the morning on the last day of Term

3, Friday 27th September 2019. More information regarding this day will be sent home shortly.

HSC Examination Written Papers: Thursday 17th October to Monday 11th November 2019

Year 12 Formal: Thursday 14th November 2019 for graduates and a guest at Taronga Zoo Function

Centre. More information regarding this will be sent home shortly.

Clare Diggins, Year 12 Adviser

re are some lovely examples of our students' recent work in English with comments from Ms Peachman, Head Teacher English

Dance Our Dance ensembles are well underway this year. There are two different ensembles running. One

rehearses at lunch time with one of our Performing Arts Captains Katie Strugnell leading the group through a

variety of technical activities. The second group rehearses on Friday mornings with Ms Constantin and has

successfully auditioned for inclusion in the Sydney North Region Public Schools Dance Festival. This festival will

be held from 24th June to 5th July at the Glen Street Theatre. We look forward to seeing their hard work come to

fruition at this performance opportunity.

Jazz Orchestra In 2019 the band program has seen the appointment of a new conductor for the Jazz

Orchestra, Joseph Manton. Joe comes to us with years of experience in band conducting and composition. We

welcome Joe to The Forest High School conducting team.

Community Event A new concert, Forest Friends, was held on Sunday 26th May. This highly successful event

showcased performances by our Jazz Orchestra, Wind Ensemble and Concert Band. A major aspect of this

concert was the fostering of links between schools and community bands from around The Northern Beaches.

This year the Frenchs Forest Primary School Intermediate Band, Arts Alive Junior Secondary Band and Arts

Alive Senior Secondary Band played a variety of pieces to a large and very appreciative audience. Thank you to

all of our performers and their families for their enthusiastic support of this event, as well as for providing such

fabulous music to listen to and yummy treats to eat on a Sunday afternoon. An extra special thank you goes to

our Band Program Director, Lemin Luu, for all her hard work on this event. We look forward to continuing to

foster links between schools and community bands across The Northern Beaches in the future.

CBD Shenanigans

Daniel McGuigan

The day began with an early wake up and meeting

the rest of the class at Manly Wharf at 8:30am. As

the students were arriving Ms Peachman, my

teacher, told me that I was going to be in charge of

all the transport for the day, so I would be the one

checking ferry and train times, making sure we all

got there. The ferry ride to the city from Manly in the

morning was quite enjoyable; despite the cold

weather I decided to sit at the front of the ferry and

admire the view of Sydney Harbour and the city

skyline slowly approaching through the thick dense

fog that was hanging over the city like something

out of a supernatural film.

After we arrived in the city the decision was to get a

train from Circular Quay to Wynyard Station then

walk down the hill to Darling Harbour to the Sealife

Aquarium. The train ride was going smoothly with

no issues until it was time to get off the train at

Wynyard Station. As the class was departing the

train the whistle warning blew, signifying the doors

were about to close - with two people still left on the

train! One person managed to get off and the doors

began to close so I moved for the door to get

through, when an old tall man stepped in front of

me, boarding the train and stopping me from getting

off! The train’s glass doors closed in front of me as

I’m looking at the rest of the class as they all start

laughing and the train starts to continue its service

moving to the next station. I decided I would just get

off at the next station and walk down to The

Aquarium and meet my class there.

I arrived at The Aquarium a few minutes before the

rest of my class and it wasn't long after that that we

were in and exploring the Aquarium. The Aquarium

was full of sea life ranging from turtles, sharks and

even penguins in their new exhibit. The new

penguin exhibit is amazing. It includes a small

indoor boat ride through the frosty penguin

sanctuary, giving a close up look at the several

different types of penguins. The Aquarium also

included many other attractions, like dugongs and

Shark Ally; two underground tunnels with glass

ceilings and walls on the bottom of a huge open

tank with an assortment of sea life swimming

around. This aquarium is such a successful tourist

attraction because many tourists come to Australia

to experience the wildlife and the incredible

Australian animals that can be seen in Sea Life

Aquarium.

Only in the building next door was our next

attraction for the day, Madame Tussauds. Madame

Tussauds is a life size wax museum with models of

a range of people from sporting icons to celebrities

and superheroes.

So many funny photos were taken here as everyone

was having fun posing and standing with the

models.

Madame Tussauds was beyond my expectations; I

was thinking it would be a drag and not fun or

interesting at all, but in reality it was great fun and I

would recommend it to anyone looking for tourism

activities in Sydney.

Me and a Nun at Madame Tussauds

We next headed back to Circular Quay, walking

from Darling Harbour to Town Hall Station and

getting a train to Circular Quay; lucky everyone

made it off the train this time. We arrived in Circular

Quay and gathered and agreed to a point to meet in

45 minutes after everyone got their lunch. Finally it

was time for our final activity and definitely the most

exciting one. For our last activity we were going on

a high speed jet boat ride. When we arrived at the

dock we all took off our shoes and were given huge

red rain ponchos. We knew now we were going to

get soaked. I sat at the very front of the boat as it

shot around the harbour doing spins and doing

sudden stops, soaking every one, while still giving

us a good look at all of Sydney Harbour’s beauty.

Showing us places like Fort Denison, the Sydney

Naval Fort, Rose Bay, Shark Bay, the Prime

Minister's house and the great Sydney Harbour

Bridge. This boat ride was a fantastic experience full

of thrills and excitement as well as a chance to

admire the beauty of Sydney Harbour. This is a

great tourist attraction as long as you don't mind

getting soaked. You get an amazing tour of the

harbour.

OZ Jet Boat on the Harbour

After the boat ride we gathered as a class once

more and were dismissed to make our own way

home, so I got the ferry back to Manly and jumped

on a bus home. I would highly recommend this day

trip for anyone interested in the tourism of Sydney in

a one day package.

The Aquarium was great, really interesting. 8/10

Madame Tussauds was a really fun experience

better than I thought it would be. 8/10

Oz Jet Boating was fantastic. I recommend it to

anyone as long as they don’t mind getting wet.

Module C - Sensory Writing Amazing Race In Week 11 of Term 1, Year 12 English students completed the

first Module C Sensory Writing Amazing Race excursion. There were five checkpoints located throughout the

city that the students needed to navigate their way to, using a series of clues, riddles and maps. Each one

required students to engage with a particular sense and complete a page of sensory writing. They needed to

work collaboratively to problem solve and think creatively. There were amazing prizes given out to students

throughout the excursion for speed, creativity, writing and team work. Thank you to the wonderful local

businesses who so generously sponsored this excursion to encourage the students to find the joy in creative

writing: Chargrilled Charlie's; F45 Frenchs Forest; BodyShape Warringah Mall; Jenny's Nails & Beauty Glenrose;

Harry Harthogs and Girdler's Café Dee Why. Having begun the marking of their final polished piece of creative

writing which forms their assessment task, the evidence of this real-world engagement with creating sensory

imagery is vividly evident in their writing.

Here is an extract from a piece of student writing completed on the day by Matt Hearn using the sense of Touch.

See if you can guess where he was!

Sarah Peachman, Head Teacher English

There is a coarse roughness to the stone bricks whose earthy texture forms a repeating pattern. A pale hand

runs across the surface of this wall, the skin of the palm tugging back and forth as if in a struggle. The

occasional cracked divot that lies hidden within this otherwise regular design gives the slightest sensation of

pain as the firm motion of the hand causes these crevices to be filled with a forceful rigidity.

The gradual pace of the man stops, the final footfall against the rough gravelled floor sending a cyclical

wave of dust which emanates in all directions. Most of his hand has pulled away from the wall now, with

only his fingers pressed against the cold stonework of the courtyard as he feels that unmistakable icy

embrace of a single stand of water gradually slide down his face. His connection to the wall persists as his

fingers shake subtly like the movements of leaves in hesitation.

It’s the cold, tingling sensation on his head that sees him tear his hand away from the wall and let out a

short, strangled breath that had unconsciously been held. A blast of droplets fall around him all at once,

acting as a warning shot that fully removes him from his stupor. His gaze latches to a spot across the

courtyard, wherein a dynamic and torrential wall of water rapidly makes its advance, effortlessly consuming

the dust that once clung to the gravel below.

Our English staff went above and beyond for our "Countries of the World" staff dress up on Friday 17th May.

They looked absolutely stunning in their saris.

fieldwork for their studies of Urban Places. Whilst there they investigated many aspects of planning and

development surrounding this $6 billion project. Students will use this information for a case study in their

Athletics Carnival A great day was had by all at our annual Athletics Carnival on Thursday 2nd May held at

Luke Brown - NSW All Schools Baseball Luke recently represented New South Wales All Schools in the

National School Boys Baseball tournament in Geelong. Luke’s NSW side won the Australian School Boys title

with Luke pitching some outstanding games. Against South Australia Luke threw 75 pitches and struck out 8

batters and against Victoria Luke threw 49 pitches and struck out 6 batters. Luke will still be eligible for selection

next year and will be pushing for selection in the Australian School Boys team. Well Done Luke.

9/10 Boys AFL Schools Cup On Wednesday 22nd May our 9/10 Boys AFL Team (pictured above) played in

the Schools Cup. The team won 2/3 pool games to qualify for the semi-finals on a very tight point differential. In

the semi against Aquania College, Menai we won 29-13 qualifying for the Grand Final against St Patricks,

Sutherland. All players played an excellent first half going into the break level at 7-7. Unfortunately we were

narrowly defeated 14-7 at the final siren. All players showed excellent sportsmanship and a high level of skill.

Some of the stand out players were Will Smit, Roddy Dixon, Sam Kosack, Josh Fairbairn, Jordan Northover and

Lachlan Johnson kicking 8 goals for the day. Thank you to Olivia Cameron, Zed Duffield and Matt Filatoff for

helping out with goal umpiring and running water.

During the April school holidays, 17 students from The Forest High School, along with EduSchool tours, blasted

off to Space Camp USA. The interactive one week camp was in Huntsville, Alabama USA and the students

learnt skills associated with the STEM program.

Some of the exciting activities they completed at Space Camp included rocket building, scuba diving to

experience the weightlessness of space, flight simulators and a multi-axis chair simulator. The students

completed three space missions - one to Mars and two to the International Space Station. Whilst some students

played the role of astronauts, others were in Mission Control directing the astronauts on what needed to be

done. There were engineering challenges to build heat shields and rockets to launch and we also learnt about

the history of space exploration.

After successfully being named ‘best team’ throughout the week at Space Camp, the group headed onto

Washington DC for a tour of the Capitol Building, followed by a great day of visiting The Smithsonian Institute;

The National Air and Space Museum; The National History Museum and The Udvar Hazy Museum. That night

the group did a trolley ride seeing many of the memorials around Washington including those of Jefferson,

Roosevelt, Martin Luther King and The Lincoln Memorial where King made his famous ‘I have a dream’ speech,

which was an amazing experience for all.

The final leg of the journey was down to Orlando where the students had a blast learning about aerodynamics

doing IFly skydiving, followed by a trip to the Everglades to learn about the local Indigenous culture and do an

Airboat ride checking out the local alligators. The final two days were spent exploring Kennedy Space Centre,

seeing the history of rocket launches in America and finally Universal Studios to get a behind the scenes look at

how 4D simulation is created and have a bit of fun on the rides.

The students gained some brilliant lessons involved in STEM and also had some amazing life experiences along

the way. This is the first time The Forest High School has run this program and will be looking to do it again

in two years’ time.

who served and lost their lives. ANZAC Day was also commemorated on Tuesday 30th April at The Forest High

School with a Junior and Senior Assembly, where our SRC Leaders from Year 12 and Year 9 led the school in

remembrance of our fallen soldiers and those continuing to serve. A special thank you to Taylor Crichton (Year

National Anthem, Rhyse Sharma (Year 9) and Bailey Greaves (Year 10) for their presentation on Cecil Healy,

Jacqui Gopilan (Year 12) for her exceptional piano playing, our VET Entertainment students who helped with

sounds, lights and set up, Terence Chernishov (Year 10) for his haunting rendition of The Last Post and Reveille

and Mrs Richards for her organisation. Thanks also go to Akito Koike (Year 10) who played The Last Post and

Reveille beautifully for Balgowlah North Public School at their special assembly.

Handball Competition School spirit hit a new high in Week 4 with the inaugural Teacher versus Year 12

Handball Competition. In a tightly contested handball competition held over two action packed lunch times the

teachers outplayed and outsmarted the Year 12s on Day 1, helped greatly by the 80's music to put the Year 12s

off their game. The teachers' team were ecstatic with a 2-1 result, and boy oh boy did the teachers need a rest to

recharge and take on the Year 12s on Day 2. The teachers' win was short lived however - on Day 2 the Year 12s

came out in force and although the teachers fought valiantly to the end, the Year 12s won 3-0.

So, look out Year 12s - you may have won this year, but the teachers are determined to win next year!

National Reconciliation Week This week we are celebrating National Reconciliation Week at The Forest High

School. This is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and to

explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. We will be celebrating by creating

a banner involving all students throughout the week and also celebrating with a staff morning tea on Friday.

2019 sees an exciting new addition to The Forest Festival of Lights with

The Colour Fun Run!

The SRC will be hosting this event which is designed to help promote healthy choices and to encourage fun

outdoor activity for students, staff, families and the community. We aim to enjoy an evening celebrating The

Forest High School whilst raising funds to assist in educational learning programs and additions to our flexible

learning spaces and resources for the students, with a donation to be given to a local charity to be decided upon

by the students.

This will be a wonderful community event and is open to the wider Forest community. There will be stalls offering

a range of crafts, jewellery and fashion as well as fun activities for those attending. Also a range of outside food

stalls including a coffee cart, wood fired pizza and BBQ. Entertainment will be provided by school musicians and

local artists.

Are you able to help us at The Forest Festival? If so, The Forest Festival needs you.

We would greatly appreciate your support with the donation of prizes or our raffle such as dinner for two,

discounts on a meal, an overnight stay, gift certificates, etc.

If you would like to find out more about what you could do to help please speak to Nicole Murray who is co-

ordinating with the students or email her at: [email protected]

Welcome back everyone to Term 2. Firstly, I just wanted to again thank Annika Williams, Peter Santamaria and

Sarah Peachman for their informative presentations at the last P&C meeting. I believe that all parents gained

invaluable information on how the teachers are supporting our children at The Forest High School.

This weekend, Saturday 1st June, is garden maintenance at the school. We would love to see as many

volunteers come and lend a hand with tidying up our gardens.

I would like to ask if there is anyone in our parent community who would like to volunteer as the P&C minutes

secretary. If anyone is interested please send me an email at [email protected] It would be very

much appreciated.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Feel free to come even if it is only for an hour or so as many hands

will make light work!
