They have been rehearsing long and hard for this and although I’m sure they will be a little nervous, they will do an awesome job. On Friday some lucky students will be travelling up to watch the show. There are a few seats left on the bus, so if you would like to see our students perform as part of this spectacular show, please contact the school office as soon as possible. Preparations for Broulee on the Box are in full swing. Costumes are being put together, props and backdrops prepared and the school has been bathed in song and dance activity as classes practise their act. We have installed new lighting in the hall so that all the children will be seen and we have a spectacular performance. Our next step is to make sure all the actors and singers can be heard. We are hoping someone in our community will have some skills or knowledge in sound engineering or with microphones and are able to offer some advice with our sound system. Please contact our school office if you are able to help out or know someone who could. This week is Book Week and to celebrate our Kinder to Year 2 students will have their dress up and parade on Friday. We look forward to the great book character costumes of our students and their teachers. Some of our Stage 3 children will also be helping the infants celebrate, reading them stories and assisting at the parade. You may have recently heard in the news about the Department of Education revising the enrolment policy. I have included a flyer from the department explaining the tweaks to the policy and why they have made them. Principal’s News Tuesday 20 August 2019

It is an exciting week for our school dancers who will be performing this Friday and Saturday as

part of the South Coast’s Southern Stars production Come Alive. They have been rehearsing long

and hard for this and although I’m sure they will be a little nervous, they will do an awesome job.

On Friday some lucky students will be travelling up to watch the show. There are a few seats left

on the bus, so if you would like to see our students perform as part of this spectacular show,

please contact the school office as soon as possible.

Preparations for Broulee on the Box are in full swing. Costumes are being put together, props and

backdrops prepared and the school has been bathed in song and dance activity as classes practise

their act. We have installed new lighting in the hall so that all the children will be seen and we

and parade on Friday. We look forward to the great book character costumes of our students and

ENVIRO TEDDY HAS EVOLVED!

Poor Mr. Enviro-Teddy was all sad

and droopy last term. Do you want

to know why?

Well, his throne was unstable and

it broke, but us three amazing

incredibly creative people have

rebuilt it as part of his evolution.

This evolution has made him an

amazing SPACE ENVIRO-TEDDY.

With his Environment Spaceship,

he is now tougher, more handsome

and AIRBORNE! Us three thought

we should spruce up the old

version. We thought why not make

it a spaceship! And with the help

of each other and our

imaginations, we have remastered

him. With a high-powered enviro-

space ship!

Thank you Bunnings Batemans Bay As part of National Tree Week, Krystle and Grant from Bunnings Batemans Bay

provided the finishing touch to the lovely planter box/seat they previously built as

part of Kindergarten winning a competition at the end of last year. Our beautiful

Tristaniopsis Laurina has taken pride of place in the walkway towards the library.

Laurina (as we have named it) is an attractive and compact shade tree and should

grow to provide a lovely shaded seating area for all to enjoy.

A huge thank you to Bunnings Batemans Bay for their generosity and expertise,

and to the Kindergarten students who worked hard to settle Laurina into its new

home. We all look forward to watching this beautiful tree grow alongside our

students.

Broulee Public School s excited to announce that we are now a drop off point for

discarded oral hygiene products – we can recycle them! Please see the

information below… you can drop off items into the box kept underneath the

small table in the front office – anytime!

What you can recycle in this program

Program accepted waste: Toothpaste tubes and caps, toothbrushes, toothbrush

and toothpaste tube outer packaging, floss containers

product has been removed (i.e. leftover toothpaste or floss). Additionally, if you

choose to rinse your product, please note that it must be completely dry prior to

shipping. You cannot ship dripping packages.

What happens to the waste
