Last night the Field’s PSSA Presentation night was held at Ingleburn RSL. Unfortunately many of our students who received certificates were at camp. Glenfield was recognised as being the small school’s athletics champion for the third consecutive year. I. Ross and N. Hossein Noori accepted the shield on behalf of the school. Our other significant achievements are listed in the report from Miss Batros. Photographs from this event will appear in next week’s Broadcaster. The Kindergarten teachers are requesting toys to supplement a dwindling stock. If your children have outgrown any of the following items, the Kindergarten teachers would gladly receive them. They are in search of doll’s houses and dolls, toy tools and cooking utensils, cars, dress-up clothing, puzzles, Duplo and other construction material. We have had a few students wanting to discontinue attendance in scripture classes to attend non scripture, believing this to be more appealing. The school has a commitment to provide religious instruction to students who have a designated religion. I ask that parents discuss this with their children and that for the remaining few weeks, every student continues to remain in the scripture class they have attended throughout the year. I would like to thank in advance the scripture teachers who have devoted time every week to provide religious instruction for our students. During the month of December, classes throughout the school could be undertaking Christmas craft activities and singing festive songs leading up to the holiday season. There will not be any religious discussions taking place other than during scripture lessons on a Tuesday afternoon. If you require further information, please contact the class teacher. Enjoy the week ahead! T. Hagan

Chalk and Parent Direct Toy Catalogues

The Chalk and Parent Direct toy catalogues were sent home as a fundraiser for the school. If you would like to order, for delivery at home or to the school, please remember to list the name of our school so that we receive the benefits. Orders can be done online or fill out the application and bring it to the office by 22 November.

K-2 Football Clinics

In weeks 2, 3 and 4 of this term all of the K-2 classes were lucky enough to be involved in 3 weeks of footy clinics run by the NRL development officers. Every Thursday each class spent 30 minutes learning the skills of football. They learnt about dodging, scoring tries, passing the ball and kicking a goal. They also learnt the importance of playing as a team. Each class had a great time and the feedback from students and teachers was very positive. I think we may even have some future football stars. OZTAG - Summer GALA Day 4 2013

On Friday 15 November 2013 our OzTag sides competed in the final Fields Zone OzTag gala day competition. The day turned out to be very productive for both teams.

There were some amazing tries and brilliant tagging from many players. It is very satisfying to see the improvements made throughout the year. Both teams won the majority of their games and we are certainly are strong opponents. Mrs Tehliwec was the chief statistician this year and most ably supported by Aaron.

The winning teams for OzTag at Kayess Park: Juniors 1st Curran white and Macquarie Fields Green 3rd Glenfield

Seniors 1st Macquarie Fields green 2nd Glenfield

Thanks for a great season everyone! Congratulations to the winning teams and every student for participating. They all did really well.
