The following schools visited Pinewood PS to observe and discuss Literacy, with a particular focus on Writing, -Wattle Bank PS, Oakleigh South PS, Amsleigh Park PS, Huntingdale PS, Wheelers Hill PS and Mulgrave PS). Our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) program was observed this week by Mulgrave PS. Next week, we are hosting a group of 7 schools who will be attending Pinewood PS to observe teacher and classroom application of our new ‘instructional model’. The schools visiting are: Auburn Secondary College, Elsternwick PS, Mitcham PS, Rockbank PS, Monee Ponds PS, Sunshine North PS and Brunswick South PS.

As the principal of Pinewood PS I am continually impressed with the high calibre of teaching and learning that occurs at the school. A strong staff commitment to high quality, ongoing professional development and a deepening understanding and knowledge of the ‘developmental continuum of learning’ in all curriculum areas, underpins much of the schools success.

Come along and join in the fun at the Pinewood School Disco. Karen Jenkin Principal

Children will have the opportunity to create crowns, construct castles and catapults, design their own coat of arms and try weaving their own bracelets. On offer will also be a range of cooking activities; jelly-making for afternoon tea and chocolate crackles! Since it officially feels and looks like winter, there will be lots more indoor activities including twister and dodge ball.

As always, any further questions about iParentPortal and bookings can be directed to Maddie or James.

Have a lovely week everyone! James, Maddie & the OSHClub Team :) M: 0409 906 462 E: [email protected] W: www.oshclub.com.au
