Principals Message Term 4 Week 911th December 2019 Final Newsletter for 2019! Welcome to the last edition of the newsletter for 2019. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the whole school community for their on going support of our great school King Street Public School. There have been many incredible achievements and performances as well as times that have challenged all of us as a school. As we approach Friday's Presentation Day, we look forward to acknowledging all of the amazing achievements from our students, teachers and community members and look forward to the positive aspects into 2020. We are all looking forward to a great turnout and celebration of 2019 on Friday. Tonight is Concert night with the theme being "Strengths". The concert will start at 6pm. Doors will open at 5.40pm. A huge thanks to the concert committee, students and staff as well as the P&C for all of their work around the performances tonight. It will be a cracking event. The Year 6 students and families will be celebrating seven years of school at our Year 6 Farewell on Monday night. Our Year 6 students have been outstanding leaders of our school throughout the whole of 2019 and next week will conclude a successful time for many of them at King Street Public School. All Year 6 students and staff will be given a walk out on Wednesday afternoon in the quad area. We look forward in celebrating a great achievement. Student reports will be handed out at the conclusion of the Presentation Day assembly. Please take the time to read your child's report with your child and if you have any questions about your child's academic achievement, please take the time to discuss the matter with your class teacher. Congratulations to all of the students and staff who received awards at our Sports Presentation Day last Friday. It was a great morning which showcased the talent that we have throughout King Street Public School. A huge thanks to Miss Burns, Mrs Tan and Mrs Philpott for all of the efforts in organising such a huge event. Jonathan Russell Principal
