PRINCE2® is a project management methodology

practised and recognised on a worldwide scale.

It’s a clearly defined framework, based on a

published manual, “Managing Successful Projects with

PRINCE2®” - 2017 Edition”.

The PRINCE2® method is composed of 7 themes, 7

principles, and 7 processes that equip practitioners

with the knowledge to manage projects in a range of

environments.

In the updated 2017 edition of the manual, there is

a renewed emphasis on tailoring these themes and

processes to suit the project and the organisational

PRINCE2® Foundation Training

This is a 3-day classroom-based course, led by PRINCE2® qualified, experienced project management trainers.

Our delivery style is a blend of practical and theoretical learning. The course syllabus follows the requirements laid down by Axelos, the certification body.

While some experience in a project management environment is recommended, and will be helpful for completing this course, Axelos do not lay down any formal eligibility requirements to become PRINCE2® certified.

Setting yourself up for PRINCE2® Success

Completing our pre-course reading and study is necessary before you attend.

You will need to set aside time for pre-course reading before you attend, and in the evenings during the course to study and prepare for your exams.

In addition to preparing you to sit your official exam, the aim of this course is to provide you with sufficient knowledge and understanding of the

PRINCE2® methodology to be able to work effectively as part of a project management team within an environment supporting PRINCE2®.

The characteristics and context of a project and the benefits of adopting PRINCE2®.

The purpose of the PRINCE2® roles, management processes, and themes.

How to tailor the themes and processes to suit the project and organisation, with a new focus on tailoring to Agile environments.

You will be prepared to sit the PRINCE2® Foundation exam. The certification exam will test your knowledge.

Your PRINCE2® Exams & Credentials

Preparing to Pass...

We supply pre-course reading and study material before you attend the course. Completing the

pre-course reading is essential, and may be crucial to your success in passing both exams. You

should aim to schedule approximately 15 - 25 hours for this in advance of the course (this is only

a guide and may vary from person to person).

It is important that you set aside time in the evenings during the course (approximately 2 - 3

hours per night) to prepare for your exams. Internet access is required for pre-course study and

exam preparation during the course.

PRINCE2® Foundation

• Exam is taken on Day 3 of training (afternoon).

• 1-hour, supervised exam with 60 multiple choice questions.

• Closed book exam.

• 55% or higher required to pass.

• You must pass to progress to Practitioner Level on Day 4.

• This credential will never expire, or need to be renewed.

level, so that you can apply and tailor PRINCE2® to different project scenarios and environments.

It also prepares you to complete the Practitioner exam on Day 5.
