Time flies ! Another four years are gone since the last Expo Detergo. We all remember the launch of the FX line which meant the start of a successful campaign with an excellent product. In the mean time we have completed the line with the X technology and philosophy and we are extremely happy that we made the right choice at that time to use all engineering efforts to create a new successful product, accepted worldwide and confirming the market requirements for the next decennium.

2014 again is a very special year for our group. In order to secure the further expansion and growth of the Primus Group, our shareholders decided to divest and sold the company to the Alliance organization. Alliance has been for many years a partner in the laundry business, but at the same time a competitor. Before the final decision was taken to sell the company we spent a lot of time evaluating the future of the Primus Group, the evolution in the product diversification and the overall integration within the Alliance organization. Finally the decision was taken and right now, after some seven months we can state that we are in the middle of getting things in the correct position. The integration is a complex exercise but with the positive attitude from both Primus side and Alliance side we experience every day the progress in this process. The different brands will be organized and will create an overall stronger commercial position worldwide. The production will gain by the economies of scale, and the future development of new products will be secured by a team of overall experienced engineers. At the time of the transaction people called it “ deal of the decade “ and even more “ a lethal combination for

the competition“. And indeed, we are every day more and more confident about the right decision that has been taken.

Our business is continuously moving ahead and has to adapt to the needs of the market. The number of important players has decreased over the past twenty years, and this tendency has created stronger players with better products following the requirement of the market. Emphasis on ecology, consumption, time is money and other specifics have been addressed more than ever before. Together with the line of washers, dryers, ironers , medical barriers and other associated products we ensure the future of the entire Alliance Group and are confident that the future will bring us more power and strength worldwide.

We also understand that this exercise is not done in an overnight, and we also hope that you all, dear distributors, understand the complexity of the transaction. We commit that we will be open for discussion to explain the moves and directions of the new integrated organization to the best of our knowledge and trust that within the next couple of months we will be where we want to be. We will put all our efforts together to create for all of you an even stronger market position than before, with the support of your manufacturer, the Alliance Group being the leader in the industry. A new generation of professional washers & dryers will be available from 1st January 2015. The new range consists of a performance 10kg washer and dryer which can be used for OPL & COIN applications as well in standalone or in a stacked setting. The capacity of the washer has been increased from 80 to 100 litres and is being launched with a new generation of timers that are easier to use and free program-mable.

The machines have excellent washing per-formance with signifi cant savings on water & energy.

Last but not least, the machines display a phenomenal auto-balance detection sys-tem which guarantees optimal spinning se-quence, resulting in a higher G force, less noise and longer lifespan of all components.

Ultra-Balance: a smart total solutionto reduce water and energy consumptionTogether with the introduction of the FX range, Primus has also introduced the Ultra Balance system. This is a total solution for optimizing the washers.Ultra Balance detects any imbalances in the drum and adjusts the total RPM in order to reduce the vibrations to a minimum. This benefi ts the lifespan of the ma-chines and components. Furthermore, Ultra Balance is an advanced weighing system, whereby the linen in the drum is weighed and the water consumption is then adjusted according to the weight. FIRST COIN SHOP IN EUROPE USING PRIMUS HEAT PUMP DRYERSWe would like to proudly announce that our distributor in Germany, Firbitex, has opened its fi rst coin shop in Europe using Primus heat pump dryers.The self-service laundry was recently opened in Munich Karlstr.49 80333 (Germany). There are 18 Primus washers of the new FX range and 9 Primusdryers T HP with a unique heat pump system called, „EVO4 drying technology”.We wish Firbitex a lot of success in their operation.

QUICK WASH LAUNDROMAT PILOT PROJECT IN OSTRAVAThere are many laundromats in USA, Western Eu-rope and South East Asia, but only a very few in the Czech Republic and Eastern Europe. On one hand, we understand that this is a matter of tradition about using this type of service, and on the other hand it’s the apparent lack of willingness of investors to ex-plore new business opportunities in this area. Both are slowly growing in Eastern Europe.

We, at Primus, decided that we will not passively wait until the „right time“ comes but we will proac-tively make a brave attempt to „ignite“ the spark. The result of this attempt is a pilot self-service laun-dromat, called “QuickWash”, that was opened in May 2014 in Ostrava, an industrial city of 300,00 people located near to our factory in the Czech Republic.The laundromat is strategically located near the city centre, with good accessibility for our custo-mers on foot, by public transport and parking for those coming by car. The laundromat is equipped with our fl agship range of products:4 washing machines FX80 (capacity 8kg) , one washer FX135 (14kg) and 2 pairs of twin dryers

T13/13 (each drum with a capacity of 14kg).To increase our chances of success, we performed an extensive marketing campaign that included

a grand opening, distribution of 10,000 fl yers to the neighbourhood, adverts in local newspapers and magazines, and even advertising spots on the local radio station that had amazing results.Since the grand opening in May, we have been happy to observe that the number of customers is increasing every week. By operating our own laun-dromat we are steadily growing our experience and knowledge of the requirements of the market. Based on this experience and knowledge, we are fi rm in our opinion that this type of business can be viable in Eastern Europe and are ready to provide potential investors with professional advice and help.

Brand new laundries of Fire brigades stations in Czech Republic

The federal government of Belgium decided to build 5 new prison in Marche-en-Famenne, Beveren, Leuze-en-Hainaut, Gent and Haren. Thanks to the numerous refer-ences of installations in other prisons, well-prepared fi les, product- and installation knowledge Primus won the tenders. Already three prisons are operational. Depending on the type of linen, the linen is either treated in the central laundry or in the laundry rooms per cell block. As for an example, herewith the confi guration of the laundry rooms in the prison of Marche-en-Famenne:

PROJECT OF PRISON LAUDRIES IN BELGIUM

The Ministry of Interior, which is the supreme organisation of the fi re rescue service of the Czech Republic, announced a tender for the supply of the laundry equipment for 21 of their regional fi re brigade stations all over the Czech Repub-lic in December 2013.

The requirement was the complete supply of the set of washer-extractor and tum-ble dryer for each assigned fi re brigade station in 21 cities across 9 regions. The sets of washers and dryers had to be fully capable to handle the Firemens’ overalls treatment, including the disinfection and waterproof fi nish of the fabrics.

The offers were submitted in February 2014. Primus was successful and won the tender to supply the 19 sets of washer-extractors FX135 and tumble dryers T13 both for 14kg of linen. In 2 larger stations Primus delivered larger sets using our washer-extractor FX180 for 18kg of linen and our tumble dryer T16 with 16kg load capacity.

The fi nal supply was delivered in June 2014 and sets of washers and dryers were supplied together with their complete installation including the pumps for auto-matic dosing of detergents, chemicals and personnel training.

We received very positive feedback after only the fi rst few weeks of operation.

New programmers on the FS lineWe are pleased to inform you about the change of programmers on the FS line of washers: Washers FS33-40-55 and FS800-1000-1200 are now equipped as standard with XControl Plus. Moreover, the position of the controls on the big range of FS 800, 1000, 1200 has been changed to a more ergonomical position on the left leg of the washer where it is more comfortable, even for smaller operators.

Thanks to continuous development and our concept ‘Xtreme in Innovation’ Primus introduced in 2012 the FXB range of compact barrier washing machines with capacities of 18kg and 24kg. A combination of hygienic barrier concept along, a very compact size and unchanged excellent quality brought a perfect solution, particularly for laundries with a smaller space, all around the world.

The newly prepared FXB280 will extend this existing range with a load capacity of 28kg and will again have the same benefi ts of the FXB series and improvements taken from our Xtreme in Innovation. FXB280 once again offers as stan-dard: an all-stainless steel cabinet, drum and tub, intuitive and fully programmable control Xcontrol+, USB connectivity for easy loading / saving programs or fi rmware updates, high 350 G factor with low power and water consumption, automatic positioning of the drum and last but not least, a patented 4 compartment soap hopper.

FXB280 is perfectly designed not only for ease of use, but also for ease of servicing. All vital parts are accessible from the sides of the machine and newly added inlets are included for ease of lubrication of the bearing house and the seals on the top panel of the machine. Another new feature will be high capacity water inlets for even faster fi lling of the water.

FXB280 - another model in the medical barrier range

The introduction of the cylinder heated ironers I80 - with a diameter of 800mm - went very successfully. This ironer has a capacity of 190kg/h, by which Primus aims for the market of the big OPL sites (hospitals, nursing homes, hotels etc.).

Additionally, the iron quality and consumption fi gures were extremely positive. The I80 range has now been extended by 3 new models: IR80 (rear return of the linen), IF80 (with length folding) and IFF80 (with feeder, length and cross folding).

The I80 is modularly developed in order to add the feeder and folder afterwards if necessary. Considering increasing labour costs, the demand for automation is growing.

The I80 range can be fi tted with either gas, steam or electrical heating.

RX range completed with 2 new modelsThe RX range has been completed with 2 new models: RX350 and RX520. RX350 has a drum volume of 350 litres (35kg) and replaces the existing model RS35. This model can be supplied with X Control or X Control+ and is available as a manual and coin option. The G force is 150G.

RX520 is a completely new model and has a drum volume of 520 litres (52kg). Because of the very high demand from several mar-kets for a rigid mounted machine with this capacity, Primus had decided to add this model to the range. With these machines, Primus aims for the OPL markets. RX520 is available with warm water, steam or elec-tric heating. The washer extractor has a G force of 100G.

Thanks to the Cascade drums, the residual humidity of the linen after spinning is signifi -cantly lower, which results in lower energy consumption during drying cycles.

Today in Spain, the coin op laundry sector is one of the areas with the great-est growth and expansion and offers entrepreneurs the opportunity to invest in a sector with great prospects and attractive returns.

In the past few years Primus has realised growth mainly due to the proactive approach of both RD&E, as well as from sales. By mainly focusing on different market segments, it became neces-sary to be able to offer more market-driven solutions. This was achieved by listening carefully to the needs of our customers. This information was then processed by RD&E, who began to develop the necessary products. In many cases the customer was still involved during the developmental stages in order to avoid the wrong products being developed. Primus soon became a company that developed products that the market demanded. As a direct result of this, Primus introduced this year a whole

Only after extensive testing of the machines and respective

components, and by being fully documented, the new develop-

ments were introduced.

Thanks to a team of 45 highly skilled engineers, Primus continu-

ally develops new innovative products, which, piece by piece,
