Course overviewThe course provides the participant with the information required to service & support the specified Dräger equipment owned by their organisation.

Full Technical Training Course Duration: 4 Full Days(or a 5 day course incorporating the First Line course on day one)

COURSE PRE-REQUISITES

• A basic understanding of anaesthesia.• An educational qualification to HNC/D or GNVQ

Level 4 in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.

• Previously attended and passed a First Line Primus® Classic/Primus® IE technical training course.

LEARNING GOAL

This course is designed to provide the participants with information about:• Features of the unit.• Operation of the unit.• Disassembly/assembly.• Service mode in theory and practice.• Service Inspection (as per test certficate).• Error log interpretation (operator errors, device faults).• Repairs at assembly level.

COURSE CONTENTS

• Exercises on operation.• System overview Primus®.• Function monitor operation part (MOBI).• Dismounting/mounting MOBI.• Test-possibilities MOBI including service MOBI.• Pneumatic Primus®.• Function mixer unit.• Dismounting mixer and components of the mixer.• Text possibilities of the mixer in the service mode.• Function ventilator-gas-controller (VGC).• Dismounting/mounting VGC.

• Test possibilities VGC in the service mode.• Function patient gas module (PGM).• Dismounting/mounting PGM.• Test possibilities PGM in the service mode and with

a laptop (Visia).• Function power supply.• Dismounting/mounting power supply and batteries.• Test possibilities power supply in the service mode• Fault-finding exercise on complete unit.
