ABOUT US

Prime Lenses is a subsidiary of GKB Ophthalmic Limited, which is based in Goa.

The GKB group was established in 1960 in Agra. The group has over 50 years of experience in manufacturing and exporting high quality lenses.

The group has an export turnover in excess of 100 crores for the year ending 2010 and its products are one of India’s largest exported lenses.

GKB Ophthalmic Limited is a public limited company listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The GKB group has a fully owned marketing company with bases in U.A.E., Germany and U.S.A.

Prime Lenses has manufacturing operations in 8 locations in India. These are Mumbai, Noida, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Cochin and Ahmedabad.

Prime Lenses is one of the first companies in India to design and manufacture its own progressive lens by the name of Taral Progressive.

Taral is one of the largest selling progressive in India.

With its focus on high quality exports, the GKB group has the vision to become an Indian

multinational in the field of ophthalmic lenses.

GKB Ophthalmic Limited has been awarded more than 20 “CAPEXIL AWARD”s for being India’s largest exporter of lenses in last thirty years.
