I have been reading some poetry instead of a fiction book for the last two nights which has been nice. It is good to vary the different things that we read so that we get a broader picture of the world around us. I wonder what other types of texts you have been reading and sharing at home? Remember to keep up your daily reading and learning your timetables ( https://ttrockstars.com/ ) and to access your purple mash accounts for activities. It is good to vary the different things that we read so that we get a broader picture of the world around us. I wonder what other types of texts you have been reading and sharing at home?

LiteracyLO: To learn a wider range of poetry and discuss the meaning. Useful link: Key Question:

ACTIVITY – Continuing with our poetry theme from yesterday – read the poem below. I would like you to annotate and illustrate the poem to show your understanding of what the author is trying to tell you about the shadow. Record your thoughts an opinions, explain what different lines mean, ask and answer at least three questions about the text. For example, you might ask: Why doesn’t the shadow have a ‘notion of how children ought to play’? or ‘What does ‘notion’ mean? And then find out the answer.

MathsLO: To use the inverse to solve missing answer problems. Approximate time: 1 hourUseful link:

person who believes in him.

Jesus has told his disciples and us, “Know that I am with you always: yes, to the end of time.” (Matt 28:20)

When we visit a church, we know Jesus is present in a special way in the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle. When we read and reflect on the words of Jesus in the Gospels, he is present and speaks to us through them.

Jesus is also present when we pray. He listens and responds to all our prayers, answering them in the way which is best for us.

Jesus is present in the Sacrament of Baptism, during this, we enter into the life of Jesus and become members of the Church. In this way, we become Christians and receive the help of Jesus for our journey through life.

In the Sacrament of Reconciliation, we have the change to say ‘sorry’ to Jesus for the wrong choices we made and to start again. Jesus forgives us for anything we have done wrong and we will receive the fullness of his life and love.

Jesus comes to use in the Sacrament of the Eucharist when we go to Mass. At the offertory, we can offer our lives to Jesus by promising to try to live our part in the New Covenant. When Jesus comes to us in Holy Communion, we can ask him to give us the strength and generosity to love and help others in our daily lives.

TASK: Describe and explain how the sacraments can help us:a) In our daily lives.b) When there are difficulties.c) On very important occasions.
