PhonicsWe are learning about alliteration this week.
Alliteration is when words sound the same at the
beginning. For example sock, snake and school.
Look at the alphabet mat below say the letter sounds and name the object with
the letter. Can you think of something else that starts
with each letter?
I spy game Look at the I spy game below. Can you find
everything on the list?
Can you find the ‘t’ items?Look at the resources below
to find all the ‘t’ items on the list.
Look at the alliteration resources below. What
sound does your name start with? Can you think of
something else that starts with the same sound? Can you say a sentence with the
same sound at the beginning of your name? Can you do this with the names of your family?
Zoe the zookeeper wanted to name some of her
animals. She wants the names to start with the
same letter sound as the animal. So far she as
thought of Charlie Chimp and Tommy Tiger. Can you
help her think of some names for her lion, snake
and panda?

Practise writing your name or some of the letters in
your name. Are you forming the letters
correctly?

of Titch, Pete and Mary. Can you try to copy their
names? Ask Mum/Dad to help by writing them in
yellow for you to trace over if you need help.

Look at the story below on how to grow a plant. Talk
about the pictures with Mum/Dad. Then ask them
to read the story to you. What does a plant need to
grow?

MathsUse the number lines below
to count forwards and backwards. You can choose
to count up to 10 or 20.
Use the number cards that you made before or you can
make new ones like the ones below. Mix up the
cards and then put them back in order. Can you do
this again? Ask mum/dad to take a number away while you close your eyes. Can you say what number is
missing?
Using the number cards from yesterday and ten
small things to count like toy cars, blocks or pasta
pieces. Put the cards face down in a pile, then take one and turn it over. Say
the number, then count out that many objects. Try to
do this with at least 5 numbers.
Ask mum/dad to hold up a number card. Can you say the number then hop/clap that many times? You can
take turns with your mum/dad.
