Primary Teaching Assistant 1st September 2017 Start - 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year Salary Scale SS 11-17— £13,263 - £15,007 per annum (Actual - term me) The Duston (All Through 4-19) School is looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join us within our Primary School (opened September 2015) In 2016 OFSTED noted about the Primary School: · Relationships between adults and children are strong. · Children’s behaviour is good, both in the classroom and in the outdoor learning area. · Caring and nurturing staff ensure that children are safe. · Classrooms are calm and purposeful with a wide variety of interesting and well-organised activities that help the children to practise and acquire new skills. · Both teachers and teaching assistants support children’s learning well by asking skilful questions. · Parents are overwhelmingly supportive. · In both the early years and in the year 1 phonics screening check, achievement was above national levels in 2016.
