B. PRACTICALWe desire we do not get

we kill (bitter hatred)We covet we cannot obtain

we quarrel & fight

What happens: we hurt those who stand in the way of our desire.Selfish pride will destroy everything that you hold dear!! (Jim Drake)

C. SPIRITUALWe do not ask GOD

“I” control and dominate (instead of allowing God to control)“I” do things for others because they make me feel good (instead of pleasing God)“I” do things for others bec. they make me feel needed (instead of needing God). It gives me self-worth.

We just need to recognize how weak we are, how foolish we are, how insufficient we are.We just need to admit that sometimes we have wrong

motives.We do not pray and seek God’s

will but instead our prayers revolve around my will.

DIOS (Spiritual Adultery)

• Kinakaibigan ang sanlibutan (worldly system) = Kinakalaban ang Dios

• Ayaw Niya ng may kahati sa Kanyang pag-ibig. He is a jealous God.

A.Magpasakop sa Dios“Render obedience”

B.Labanan ang diyabloDo not leave any avenue.Do not succumb to the devil’s cheap substitutes for your God’s perfect will for your life.

C.Mamighati sa kasalananMourn deeply for our sins, our self-centeredness.Make serious efforts to CHECK our pride from not repenting of the wrongs that we do.Maging marubdob ang paghingi natin ng tawad sa ating pagiging talipandas at haliparot sa Dios!

CONCLUSION• Tinututulan ng Dios ang mapagmataas; Tinutulungan ng Dios ang mapagkumbaba!• Pride invites the devil! Humility welcomes the Lord
