Coraplaxi s a family-run business with internat ional presence, dedicated to the manufacturing of PVC valves andaccessor ies . L ike many companies of this k ind, i ts h istory ref lects exceedance, disc ip l ine, pass ion, endeavour,courage, innovation, commitment, determination, creativity, tenacity, and mil l ions of hours of hard work. Forthis reason, I wi l l explain its history in f irst person. My name is Ernest Costales, son of the founder.

José Costa les Santacana, my father, was born in Barce lona and always stood out for being a hard-work ing ,honest and responsib le m an. He founded Coraplax in 1973,when I was 12 years , a l though he set up his f i rstbus iness when he was l iv ing and studying in Braz i l , the country that his parents made their res idence.

When living in Spain, fol lowing his entrepreneurial spir it , he decided to create his ow n plastic injectionenterprise for which he gave up his job in the moment, as a manager in a mould and inject ion manufacturingcompany. To start his business, he rented a commercial premise in Santa Coloma de Gramanet, acquir ing amodest second-hand machine and began producing parts apply ing al l h is accumulated knowledge and workexper ience .

As for myself, at the age of twelve I would help removing finished items from the machines during festive days,weekends and hol idays even i f i t would involve waking up at f ive in the morning. Having reached the age ofs ixteen, I started working as an apprent ice in a mechanica l workshop whi le studying at the same time. Lateron, Coraplax moved to Granol lers.

Once eighteen, I started working off ic ia l ly in the Coraplax manufactur ing plant . My father was very demandingand was keen for us, the family, to set an example for the whole team, knowing from the bottom, the entiremanufacturing process, as wel l as working as hard as anyone and without any priv i leges, just as any otherworker in the company. Being the son of the owner s im ply meant a higher level of ex igency.

I started working in the moulds workshop since I am a moulding technic ian, l ike my father. With my sisterAntonia, with over 20 years of experience working in the management board of var ious mult inat ionals in adivers i ty of sectors , we aimed to modernize and opt imize the procedures and qual i ty of our products , thoughmy father ’s more class ica l concepts prevai led. For this reason, we decided to develop away from the familybusiness.

This s igni f icant exper ience for the both of us, from a personal and profess ional aspect regarding Coraplax,al lowed us to grow from a profess ional standpoint, and part icular ly in my case, to continue the advancement ofmy moulding profession by learning from other PVC experts. As for my new posit ion, I would highl ight that factthat I occupied the post of manufactur ing director and also my proact ive att i tude, always seeking solut ionsand alternat ives with the aim of improving the f inished product.

In May 2003 my father passed away. The man who brought me up and from whom I learnt the disc ipl ine ofdoing a job wel l . I t was then that we decided to cont inue with the effort that he has put into creat ing thebusiness , even though it meant leaving our own projects . Going back was a chal lenge for our careers topotentiate my father ’s creat ion. We found it very hard, having witnessed how much effort our father had putinto creat ing Coraplax and making it grow.

Antonia and I returned to Coraplax to continue, with renew ed energy, our father ’s project and it makes usproud to have injected into it a l l our exper ience, effort , pass ion and enthusiasm in order to get ahead and seethe company grow.

Today Coraplax st i l l ex ists in sp i te of the problem s and obstac les that we have faced, and for th is reason, i thas bounced back even stronger into the wor ld of PVC valves and accessor ies manufactur ing .

We can emphasize that we have even improved the qual i ty of our f in ished products as wel l as the companyprocedures in order to provide a more personal ized customer serv ice.

Coraplax has been able to adapt to the new times and after running for over four decades we can reaff i rm thatafter many changes, we are the same company, and without a doubt we can aff irm that Coraplax is st i l lCORAPLAX.

So, Coraplax is Coraplax! Just as i t a lways was.

Other condi�ons must be agreed between the par�es.All prices and informa�on’s on this price list are subject to varia�on without any forward no�ce.ORDERSAll orders must be made in wri�ng clearly sta�ng the item references and preferably adjus�ng the quan��es to thosespecified per box.For verbal and telephone orders not confirmed in wri�ng, any responsibility for errors in the transcrip�on of the orderis declined.Par�al deliveries will be accepted, and the buyer has no right to cancel the order.DELIVERY TIMEThe �me for prepara�on of export orders will be between 7 and 10 working days for goods in stock, under normalcircumstances. In case of out-of-stocks ar�cles the term will be agreed upon for every par�cular case.Orders ready to be despatch cannot be cancelled.WARRANTYOur items are covered by a ONE YEAR warranty from the date of delivery. This guarantee is applicable to manufacturingdefects and is limited to the replacement or repair of the part in ques�on. Only those materials which, sent by carriagepaid, are checked and accepted by our QUALITY CONTROL Department will be accepted under this concept.The guarantee loses its effect if the ar�cles have been modified, have suffered incorrect treatment or if the installa�onand work condi�ons are not those recommended in each case.In any case, our responsibility is limited to replacing or repairing the defec�ve parts, not a�ending to indemnifica�onsor other expenses.RETURN OF GOODSNo returns of materials will be accepted a�er 8 days from the receipt of the goods. The material will always comecorrectly packed and carriage paid. The returned material will pass the inspec�on of our QUALITY GUARANTEEDepartment and once accepted by it, it will be paid on account applying a 15% surcharge for handling and internalmanagement of the revised product. The amount of the accepted material will be deducted from future invoices.Under no circumstances will the return of materials requested be admi�ed on demand.TITLE TO GOODSOwnership in goods supplied by the Company will not pass to the purchaser un�l payment for such goods has beenreceived by the Company in full.
