1. Determine the needs and the requirements of the desired system (preliminary over the phone or accuratly with a site visit; check the download area on the SOLARFOCUS homepage for our standard forms and checklists).

2. Analyse the data + dimension and configure the system (the SOLARFOCUS Standard Hydraulic Schematics Library will be of good help in that).

3. Prepare your quotation on basis of the chosen hydraulic schematic (use the SOLARFOCUS Sample Quotations Library for that, also the structure of this pricelist will guide you like a checklist; in any case check with your local SOLARFOCUS Partner on correctness).

8. All product warranties are according to EU directives. In addition to that, SOLARFOCUS offers extended warranties: a 10 year warranty for solar thermal collectors (for the CPC not only on the material but also against condensation) and the possibility to extend the warrantyfor biomass boilers up to 5 or 10 years (pls. find further information on the respective productwarranty papers or from your local SOLARFOCUS Partner).

When the internal air of the collector is warmed for the first time, the air expands and excess pressure is formed. The valve opens and the air can escape. When the air cools again, the valve closes and negative pressure is formed inside the collector. The reflectors support the glass pane on the casing (0.1 bar = 1000 kg/m2).

CUSTOMER BENEFITS4 The vertical fitting of the absorber allows

shallow-angled light to be utilised.4 Through the irradiation of the absorber from BOTH

sides, the absorber does not have a rear side, which would otherwise simply be a heat loss area.

4 The small absorber strip results in a minimalheat radiating surface and, consequently, less heat loss (radiator principle). At the same time, the narrow absorber strip enables fast heating up.

Fresh water technologyFresh water technology refers to the heating of DHWusing the flow method. This means there is no need tostore large volumes of hot water, yet completely hygienicDHW can be provided.

External preparation with fresh water modulesFresh water modules transfer heat from a buffer tank tothe DHW flowing through them with the help of a heatexchanger. The DHW temperature can be set as required and ismaintained at a constant level via an electronic controller.Only the quantity of DHW you require at the exact momentflows through the fresh water module.

TIP: Install the fresh water module as close as possible to the buffer tank in order to avoid energy losses.

Cascading solutions up to 420 kW

Cascading

With their capacity for cascade control up to 420 kW, biomass boilers from SOLARFOCUS are ideal for multi-

storey residential buildings, as well as for commercial premises.

Cascading applications

Statistics show that maximum boiler output is only required for around 10% of the year. The boiler runs at partial

load or in the low-performance range (or in cycle mode) for the remaining 90% of the time; so it is not utilised in

the optimum manner. Cascading solutions are an effective way to combat such inefficiencies.

Cascade control unit ecomanager-touchThe cascade control unit regulates the boiler switching sequence depending onthe temperature and running time. A maximum of six boilers can be connectedto one another in a cascade system. The individual boilers are connected to oneanother via the Ethernet interface. Ethernet cables are used as connectingcables in accordance with CAT5e (provided by the client). With more than threeboilers in the cascade, an Ethernet switch (provided by the client) must be used.Please take note of the safety instructions in the manual too! 1. The quotation

Our quotations are non-binding. We reserve the right to makemodifications to the equipment as a result of further technicaldevelopments. All technical documents remain the intellectualproperty of the contractor.

2. Prices

If material costs rise between the time when the contract is concludedand when the agreed work is carried out due to recommendationsmade by the Paritätische Kommission (the Austrian ParityCommission), changes in global market prices for raw materials,changes in acquisition prices or circumstances out of the contractor’scontrol which lead to additional work and costs, the prices underconsideration shall rise accordingly, unless the period of time betweenthe contract being awarded and the agreed work being carried out isless than two months. Prices are exclusive of VAT, ex warehouse or exworks and do not include packaging, shipping or distribution costs. Weshall charge for packaging costs at cost price. Prices with no quantityspecified are unit prices.

3. Performance periods and deadlines

If the start date for the agreed work is delayed or the work itself isinterrupted, the agreed performance periods shall be extended andthe agreed completion deadlines postponed accordingly. If the delaysor interruptions have been caused by circumstances beyond thecontractor’s control, the contractor shall not bear any fault, thecustomer shall bear all additional costs incurred due to the delays orinterruptions and the contractor shall be permitted to declare hisservices and work payable by means of partial billing.

4. Payment

Reminder and bill of exchange charges, as well as the costs of out-of-court enforcement via a solicitor, shall be borne by the customer.If the customer defaults on a payment, the contractor shall beauthorised to calculate default interest of at least 12% annually;claims for compensation of higher interest rates shall not beconsidered. The contractor is authorised to transfer the debt claim toa debt collection agency.

5. Reservation of title

All goods delivered, installed or otherwise transferred shall remainthe property of the contractor until they have been paid for in full.If the customer defaults on payment, the contractor shall beauthorised to take back any goods acquired under reservation of title;this does not equate to a withdrawal from the contract. The customeris therefore obliged, in the case of a seizure or other type of availmentagainst the delivered or installed goods, to assert the right ofownership of SOLARFOCUS GmbH and to notify it of the situationimmediately. In the case of resale, the customer shall pledge thepurchase price claim against his customer in advance in order tosafeguard the claim from this contract and is obliged to record thislien in his account books.

6. Complaints

Identifiable defects shall be notified in writing within one week ofreceipt of the goods, hidden defects within one week of discovery ofthe defect.

7. Transport and insurance

When the goods you have ordered are handed over to the carrier(post office, federal railway or forwarding agent), we shall be deemedto have completed our contractual duties and the risk shall transfer toyou. Once the delivery or service has been accepted, all risks and thecosts of storage shall be borne by the customer. Also in the case ofpartial deliveries, the entire risk for said partial delivery shall transferto the customer.

8. Warranties

Provided that the customer does not claim for cancellation, thewarranty shall take the form of a free of charge rectification of theproven defects, within the warranty period. If the defects cannotbe rectified or are associated with unreasonably high costs,an appropriate replacement shall be provided.

9. Compensation for damages

The contractor shall only be liable for the damages which he hascaused to items belonging to the customer that he has accepted forprocessing during the course of performing the agreed work. All otherclaims by the customer, particularly those seeking compensation forany further damage, including consequential harm caused bya defect, shall be excluded, unless the contractor is guilty of grossnegligence or intent.

10. Product liability

The equipment delivered and services rendered shall offer only thelevel of reliability that can be expected based on certificationregulations, operating and instruction manuals, regulations providedby the supplier, etc. and other stated instructions. In the case ofstatutory product liability, the liability for material damage - also thatof the upstream supplier or sub-contractor - shall be limited todamages sustained by the consumer. This limitation of liability shallbe transferred in full to all consumers, with the obligation to transferit further to the customer’s clients and their clients in turn.

11. Place of fulfilment

Provided that nothing is agreed to the contrary, the place of fulfilmentshall be the contractor’s headquarters.

12. Place of jurisdiction

The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Steyr. All our disputes shallbe subject exclusively to Austrian law, with the exception of IPR andthe UN CISG.

13. Warranty claims for compensation

Warranty claims for compensation in the case of deliveries made viaspecialist dealers (installation engineers, wholesalers, etc.) shall belimited without exception to the free of charge delivery of spare partsexcluding installation costs.

14. Return of goods

Goods can only be returned with a collection order! Please notify usif goods are to be returned, stating the delivery note or invoicenumber. The collection order will then be mailed to the customer.The goods can only be returned to us with this collection order, aswithout it, allocation of the goods in our warehouse is not possible.Any defects ascertained on inspection will be invoiced!Return costs amounting to 20% of the net value of the goods willbe charged.
