This good 4hotel is located near Milan Linate airport and is only 7 km outside the city centre, which can be easily reached with public transport. 4-day Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival at 4 hotel on Meina, overlooking Lake Maggiore, welcome cocktail and 3 nights half-board accommodation.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival at the hotel in the Lake Garda area and check-in. Welcome drink and dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 – After breakfast, early departure to the World EXPO in Milan. Return to hotel and dinner.

Day 3 – After breakfast, scenic drive through the wine region of Valpolicella. The hills to the north of Verona are known for the production of high quality wines, but there are still small, rural businesses that are not exclusively vineyards. You will visit an Agriturismo farm where wine, oil, jams, pasta, bread and much more is self-produced. A convivial lunch will not be missed there. You will taste, along with farm products, a homemade wine per course (3 courses, 3 wines). In the afternoon, you will visit Verona with a tourist guide. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4 – After breakfast drive to Sirmione! Sirmione is often referred to as the pearl of Lake Garda. That’s thanks to the lively old town with many shops, restaurants and colorful ice cream bars. It is always worth a visit! Your tour leader will also show you the hidden and picturesque corners of the city. After some free time for shopping or a Cappuccino, you will reach Bardolino by bus. The resort with its surrounding hills is one of the most popular destinations on the lake.On Bardolino’s hills ripe, thanks to the lake’s mild climate, also olives from which an excellent oil is produced. During a visit at the Olive Oil Museum you can taste both olive oil and other regional delicacies: wine, grappa, bread and olive oil, cheese with balsamic vinegar, salami, and tarts. Return to the hotel and dinner.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Departure from home and arrival at a 4hotel in the Verona or Como area based on the traveller‘s needs. Time to settle into the rooms and have dinner at the Hotel.

Day 2 - After breakfast departure for Milan with a full day at the World Expo. In the late afternoon departure for our hotel in Reggio Emilia area. Time to settle into the rooms and have dinner at the hotel‘s restaurant.

Day 3 - After breakfast full-day guided tour of the region. Visit to a Parmigiano Reggiano (Parmesan cheese) factory to see the entire production process from the arrival of fresh milk to the fi nal aged cheese! To fi nish, a little taster accompanied by a glass of Lambrusco. The tour continues at the Balsamic Vinegar Bank, with a visit to the balsamic vinegar factory and tasting of local products:

Expo2015, to be held from May 1 to October 31, is a

unique opportunity to learn about food traditions from

around the world and plan a short stay in Italy with a

tour that touches on some of the most beautiful Italian

cities of art: Milan, city of culture, fashion and design;

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival at the airport with assistance from our English-speaking guide and a guided tour of Milan to discover one of the international capitals of fashion. Transfer to the Como area and check-in to a 4hotel. Dinner.

Day 2 - After breakfast, journey by bus to Milan and the World Expo. The entire day is at your disposal to visit the Expo. After having immersed yourself in the future of the planet, we will return to the hotel. Free dinner.

Day 3 - Breakfast and departure for Veneto. In the morning, a boat trip on Lake Garda to admire Sirmione, widely considered the pearl of Lake Garda. Before leaving the beautiful lakeside town of Sirmione, we will stop for a delicious ice cream. We will then proceed to the Treviso area. Check-in to the hotel and free dinner.

Day 4 - After breakfast, journey by bus to Tronchetto. From there we will reach the historic centre of Venice by private boat. Our guide will be waiting for you in the stunning Piazza San Marco, ready to show you the heart of Venice in all its

splendour: the Grand Canal, St. Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, the Bridge of Sighs. After having your fi ll of emotions and a little free time, we will return to the hotel for some well-deserved relax. Free dinner.

Day 5 - Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning, a guided tour of Padua and its historic centre. From there we will continue on to Emilia Romagna to savour the regional specialities on a farm in the Bologna area. We will then proceed on to Tuscany, checking-in to a hotel in Florence. Free dinner.

Day 6 - After breakfast at the hotel, we will leave for Lucca. A guide will accompany you to discover its well-preserved historic centre, enclosed like a jewel within its medieval walls. We will stop for a delicious snack on a farm just a few kilometres from Lucca. The day will continue with a guided tour of Florence, birthplace of the Renaissance and full of masterpieces: the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Santa Croce, the Uffi zi Gallery, the San Lorenzo open-air market, the Ponte Vecchio... After a little free time for shopping, we will return to the hotel and have dinner.

Day 7 - Breakfast and transfer to the airport for your return fl ight.

Day 4 - After breakfast, tour of Florence, along the banks of the Arno River. Strolling along the Ponte Vecchio, in the famous Piazza della Signoria and through the streets of the city centre you can discover the birthplace of the Renaissance and the masterpieces created by some of the greatest artists in history. Free time in the afternoon for shopping and then return to the hotel. Free dinner.

Day 5 - Breakfast and departure for Orvieto, on top of an enormous cliff of tuff stone. Visit to the Cathedral, one of the most spectacular Italian Gothic buildings both because of its size and because of the richness of the façade decorated with mosaics and sculptures. In the afternoon, we will reach Rome. A panoramic tour with a guide will give you a fi rst taste of the beauties of the eternal city. Check-in to the hotel and free dinner.

Day 6 - After breakfast, the day is entirely devoted to a guided tour of Rome. Starting from the ancient city: a walk through the ages will begin in Piazza Venezia with the Trajan’s Column, one of the seven wonders of Ancient Rome, the Trajan’s Forum, the Capitoline Hill, then along the “via Sacra” that leads to the valley of the Roman Forum and the Coliseum. In the afternoon, we will continue through the most beautiful and famous squares such as Piazza di Spagna, the Trevi Fountain, and Via Condotti and Via Veneto with the most exclusive shops in the city. The day ends with an excellent dinner in a farm where you can taste real Roman cuisine in the quietness of the countryside a few miles from the city. Return to the hotel.

Day 3- After visiting a time-honoured rice mill near Vercelli and try the famous “risotto”, we will have a typical dinner in Alba to accompany the excellent and famous Langhe region wines.

Day 4 - Today we will go down to Liguria, land of sun and sea, to visit Genoa, the birthplace of Christopher Columbus. Here, you will taste the “Recco focaccia bread” and “pasta with pesto”, a basil sauce that is famous the world over. The journey continues in Tuscany, with a stop over in Montecatini. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 5 - In the area, you can admire the spectacular Carrara marble quarries, the raw material chosen by major artists. After visiting the charming medieval town of Lucca, the city of 99 churches,

we will treat ourselves to a homemade, high-quality gelato tasting. The Itinerary also includes a short journey by tractor to an olive-press near Montecatini, where you can taste the farm‘s produce accompanied by a glass of good wine. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 6 - The next stop will be Emilia-Romagna with a visit to Bologna to do some shopping in the traditional shops in the town centre and to drink a good cappuccino. You will stay overnight in the Rimini area and dinner will be in a trattoria serving typical home cooking. No menu would be complete without Lambrusco wine and the delicious fl at unleavened bread. Salute!

Day 7 - The last day of the tour is dedicated to visiting Ravenna, known for its beautiful mosaics. We will then continue on to Veneto, where tasting Valpolicella wine accompanied by cold cuts and cheeses will bring the day to a pleasant end. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 8 - After a refreshing nights sleep in the Verona area, the journey will end and it will be the time to go home... with many memories of the beautiful (and delicious) Italy! Arrivederci Italia!
