Preventicum combines ‘six-star’ service with highly sophisticated medical technology and experienced doctors to offer one of the most advanced health assessments in the world.Our Check-Ups not only aim to give the most complete assessment of current health, they also enable us to diagnose existing conditions, evaluate risk factors and develop a preventive strategy specifically tailored to your lifestyle.

During your visit you will have your own private en-suite room with Wi-Fi, telephone and media centre, and you will be offered a pre-selected nutritious lunch before leaving the clinic.

A full written report along with a copy of your images will be sent to you within 12 working days. You will have the opportunity to go through most of your results on the day with your Preventicum doctor with a full written report and a copy of your images to follow.

Several years in the making, the Elite Check-Up is aimed at clients who have specific concerns about their physical health and want to improve their general fitness, stamina and endurance. After 14 years offering one of the most advanced health assessments in the world, our Ultimate Check-Up now has the addition of several well-researched tests to form the Elite Check-Up which will take approximately 6 ½ hours. This Check-Up is usually offered to clients aged 35 and over, however, if you are below this age and would still like to book the Elite assessment, please contact our bookings team to discuss.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scansAt Preventicum we only use x-ray free imaging investigations. MRI scans of your brain, heart, central arteries and organs of the abdomen and the pelvis will be performed. Our two, state-of-the-art MRI scanners are equipped with ‘in-bore’ technology where you have a choice of music or film to create an immersive audio video visual experience. Paired with ambient lighting and reduced noise, anxiety and claustrophobia are greatly reduced.

AMRA Body Composition Testing using MRIAMRA® transform over 1800 MRI images from a 6-minute whole-body MRI scan, into 3D-volumetric fat and muscle measurements. AMRA® Profiler enables outstanding accuracy and precision when assessing volume and distribution of fat and muscles, as well as metabolic status.

Please note that your AMRA body composition results will not be available on the day of your Check-Up. These will be sent to you as part of your comprehensive report with a breakdown and explanation from your Preventicum doctor.

Perspectum Liver ScanA specialised, new, high-tech MRI scan creating detailed maps of your liver, highlighting damage from either fat, inflammation or iron overload. VO2max testCardiopulmonary exercise testing, also known as VO2max, is a measure of aerobic, cardiac fitness and endurance capacity.

Resting and exercise electrocardiogram (ECG)ECG is used in diagnosing many electrical heart abnormalities and can help to show if there is the possibility of significant coronary artery disease.

Spirometry (lung function test)The spirometry test is used to determine lung function and to help to detect lung disease.

Ultrasound examinationsWe scan the carotid arteries, liver, gallbladder, biliary tree, pancreas, kidneys, spleen, urinary bladder, uterus and ovaries in women and the prostate gland in men.

Body Composition AnalyserThe InBody 720 provides a detailed, highly accurate map of body composition, including visceral fat, using 30 impedance measurements.

Ultimate Check-UpOur Ultimate Check-Up offers a thorough assessment of current health and potential future risk factors and is usually offered to the over 35 age group. This Check-Up takes approximately 5 ½ hours and includes x-ray free, focused MRI scans of your brain, heart, central arteries and organs of the abdomen and the pelvis, ultrasound examinations, resting and exercise ECG, spirometry, over 40 different blood tests, urine analysis, eye pressure and hearing tests and one to one consultations with Preventicum doctors including a same day results consultation.

Essential Check-UpAs per the Ultimate Check-Up, excluding MRI examinations. Our Essential Check-Up takes approximately 4 ½ hours and includes ultrasound examinations and echocardiogram, a non-invasive examination that looks at the structure, function and valves of the heart using high-frequency sound waves. This foundation level assessment is also offered as an interim between Elite and Ultimate Check-Ups and for those unable to undergo MRI.

EchocardiogramThis is a non-invasive ultrasound examination using high-frequency sound waves to create detailed pictures of your heart. We look at the structure and function of your heart including the valves. Dynamic changes within this moving organ are recorded to see how the heart is managing the blood flow around the body.


Resting and exercise ECGECG is used in diagnosing many electrical heart abnormalities and can help to show if there is the possibility of significant coronary artery disease.
