DOG LICENSE

EXPLANATION AND FEES 

West Virginia law requires the Assessor to collect a license tax each year on all dogs over 6 months of age. Beginning July 1, every dog in Preston County must be licensed annually.  

Please complete the application and RETURN with check or money order (no cash please). If you have any questions, please call (304) 329‐1220.  

Dog tags and a receipt will be sent to the mailing address listed on application. Do not complete the application if you have already filled out application on your Assessment Form.
